Cam nodded, "Yea... I don't remember anything about my life before my accident. I don't know If I was rich, poor, or if I was born with my powers or not. I do remember the old city though, before the meta attacks on September 11th, 2001. That was shortly after my accident. I've been homless and broke ever since I left the hospital. I get the occasional friend who lets me crash for a while, but it's kinda hard to help pay bills when you don't have a job. This is the most normal life I've had in nine years." She paused, "Sorry I tend to ramble..."

"Mmm-hmm. You do." A.J. mused. He seemed to come to a decision and snapped his fingers. "You're left-handed, aren't you? You bite your lower lip when you're thinking. Sometimes you alternate your eyes when blinking, and" A slight grin twisted the corners of his lips "although you CLAIM to be a vegitarian, you can never pass up a hamburger. Extra tomato, hold the lettuce."

An idiot grin split his face and he was momentarily tempted to give her a decade's worth of hugs right there. With effort he managed to contain himself and instead managed to say, "Let's get that drink. I think you'll need it."

Avatar had remained silent. From what he gathered, AJ had known Cam since before her amnesia

He simply smiled

"Alright, I know of a good bar...and a fast way to get there/"

He shifted into his Hybrid form. his favorite form by far, and with the power of his mind manipulated a massive air current into launching them in the general direction of the bar, where they safely landed soon after.

Bowman reported in for work the next morning. He unlocked his office and stepped in. A quick glance at his calendar showed he had an appointment at ten with a Mr. Rockey. He looked up at the clock, he still had a few hours before the meeting.

He sat at his desk and logged onto the network, pulling up his email. A few of the normal messages that he always got, invitations to retirement ceremonies, going away parties, interdepartmental sports teams. At the bottom of the list was the email he was looking for.

The subject line was blank and the body of the message was less then thrilling. It was just a few terse lines.
"I'm not asking, don't tell me. Bureau 13. That's all I'm saying. Trust me, let it drop."

He sighed. It was something, but so little he had no doubt it would be of little help. Instead of starting into his research again he decided he would wait till Mr. Rockey got there. In the mean time, he started making some calls. It was time to reconvene Mirage Team and find out who was staying and who was going.

"well technically it isnt flight... I am just using air currents to throw myself and others like a tornadoe throws a cow... " This was of course said with a big toothy grin.

"Now the good thing is, this Bar is Meta-Friendly, so I dont need to change back. I would be nude then..."

"hmm... well, to get me drunk, it generally takes a bottle of Vodka in this form. Thankfully, it makes me placid and easy to get along with, sort of like if you rolled me over on my back." he said as they strolled in and Avatar ordered drinks

"Try living with no memory for nine years." Cam/Emiline said, taking a big drink. "Dunam... that sounds familar. There's a buliding downtown, a business firm I think... or somthing... So Mr. A.J. How do you know the me I'm learning about?" She took another swig and finished off the drink ordering a whiskey sour. She looked at Alex, "So what happens when someone does get you on your back Hmmm?" She jarred, nudging him with her elbow playfully.

"We were friends at school, pretty much the way through." A.J. said, taking a swig of what seemed to be water with maybe a drop of alcohol. Damn, this was strange.

A.J. took a deep breath and answered her questions in sequence, ticking them off on his gloved fingers as he did so.

"You were an average student, you were nuts, yeah, I was annoyingly straight-laced, your parents own that building you mentioned, last I heard they were still married, you're definately Em, I don't know what'll happen."

He stopped and took another swig of his imitation piss.

"Here, " She slid her drink over to him. "You look like you need something a bit stronger than.... " She made a face, "What is that?"

She sat for a moment letting everything sink in. This was absolutely insane yet plausible. Her mind was reeling, Here was the perfect stranger telling her about her long lost life. She started to giggle, "Hehe, Emiline Dunam, it just sound so snotty!" Her eyes grew big, "I was a brat wasn't I?"

"Suit yourself." She said taking a drink. "Sooooo...My parents....loaded? Wow, and I've been living on the street for nine years. I have a question, was I-That is, I mean did I have--- Was I a normal...." She let her voice trail off and she began to gnaw on her lip.

She laughed, "Yea, it must be difficult to try to reconstruct someone's life... Well then, guess nothing came from the chemical spill. And if I've been a meta since birth then there's a good chance I'm registerd. And you mentioned getting your powers from a fall? Was this after I knew you? What knida of things did we do for fun? Did we ever date? Do you think I should go see my parents? Do you think they'll want to see me?" She was begining to ramble again but stopeed herself by taking another drink.

A.J. answered her stream of conciousness with practiced ease, once again ticking the questions off on his fingers. "You're registered, but legally dead as of five years ago. I got my powers about two, three years ago. Usually you got us into trouble, I got us out. We were only around 11. You should get in touch with your parents, and they'd be delighted to see you again."
