I'd think it was rude. I thought it was rather compelling.

Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much: the wheel, New York, wars while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in water having a good time.
But the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons

What is bizarre is seeing what everyone looks like. I have a hard time imagining people, especially given a number of text posts. Just looking through the pic thread again reminds me of how weird it is.

Some of you guys look like geeks, like me. I expect this. Some of you don't. I can't picture this. It is so weird.

You know Jon, it's quite hard for me to imagine you with moustache, goatee, and bald head, especially since your first pic being posted on LA.

Oh, I thought you said you've been gaining more extra pounds lately? :?:

When did I say that? :???: (honestly, my memory sucks) I've actually lost about twenty pounds over the summer.

Anyway, a quick browse through my picture folder tells me my first pic is dated June 2005, and this new one was taken this month, so I suppose I have changed a good bit, appearance-wise.

How, exactly, did you achieve it? Care to share some tips? I'm actually desperate to lose my extra pounds. Dieting, jogging: all for naught.

I wouldn't call it a tip, per se, but getting a new job that's very physical did it for me, intentional or no. I dunno if it would work for everybody, but the increased metabolism has kept me in shape.
