"I did prepare the spell my dear. Twice actually." He placed the light back in his pouch and muttered the words of the spell over Brother Tormenta, then himself

"That better?"

Also, if Jernei does need to transform, even the stairwell is large enough. The crypt itself, being an elven crypt will be eve more open.

"You will get used to it"

Now that everyone could see, they saw the shaft of the stairwel descend about three hundred feet and then level out onto a landing

Tormenta had ventured through crypts before and knew that often the deranged architects of these things put traps in the weirdest damn places. He immediately began a methodical pattern scanning the various surfaces, first down the steps to the landing, then back up the left wall then down the ceiling then back up the right wall.

Steps 16+ 36 = 52
left wall 17+ 36 = 53
Ceiling 15+ 36 = 51
right wall 20+ 36 +10(crit) = 66

You find holes in the wall on the left side with pressure plates on every stair for a set of 30 stairs. On the the cieling you see suspended iron balls which are activated by the same pressure plates. And the bottom of the stairs, you make out the faint outline of a trap door.

Tormenta found several traps, while he was not certan it was all of them he pointed them out to the rest of the group quickly. "Look there on the stairs, then look up to the ceiling and the walls." he pointed to each part of the trap,"Also I think I can see a trap door there on the landing."

Tormenta pulled a small bottle from his coat, "No but you do have a portable hole correct? Well this is a bottle of air, if you folks dont mind sitting in the hole for a short while I can carry all of you safely accross." he smiled and took a few steps up the right wall, "No need to waste a spell we might need later Vincent."

"There is another way..." Jernei offered. "The good Master may not have the spell handy, but I do have Tensor's Disk."

That would work, save that the stair-case is enclosed, and tensers disk only travels horizontally

Of course, Caden might be getting suspicious by now. After all, SeaElves do not practice magic, one of the few Elven races that doesn't use it. Yet, Jernei cast the spell with only a gesture, no words, no materials used to envoke the appearance of the flat, softly glowing disk that hovered obeidantly behind her.

"Now that you've shown me the traps, I can get past them," Jernei said confidiently. "Everyone else can ride on the disk."

Blackclaw scrambled onto the disk and settled onto it. "Works for me. I'll be ready to leap and hurt bad guys."

OOC:TVI gave me permission to move his character should the need arise.

Caden climbed onto the disk, if he had any suspicions about the sea elf he kept them to himself.

Tormentia shruged and took a few steps up the wall as he put the rope and rods back into his pockets. "Very well then, I will meet you at the landing" he then turned and walked down the right side of the wall towards the landing.

Caden was begining to second guess himself jumping in with so many people he didnt know. He never really had to depend on to many people before, but people never really depended on him like this either. Fear denies Faith....and his faith in all things had gotten him this far.

"Why leap...when you can send the pain to them." with a swift silent move, Caden was on the disk poised and ready.

((Assuming everyone is on the disk))

Jernei looked down the staircase, breathing deeply to calm herself as she visualized how to avoid the pressure plates in the stairs, the traps on the walls. It would be tricky... a jump, a tumbling roll right there... it could be done.

If it didn't work, this would hurt.

((DC 62. Tumble 52+ Jump Synergy 4=56+ roll 14=70. Oh thank you dice gods))

The jump was perfect, like a fish leaping from the water. It became a graceful tumble that manage to brush but not trip the pressure plates on the stairs, giving her just enough momentum to land on her feet at the bottom.

And the disk serenely floated down the stairway behind her, three feet off the ground at all times as it descended... although taller riders might need to duck.

"A sailor I met was very good at keeping on her feet. She refered to it as 'swashbuckling'," Jernei answered, looking ahead to see what other dangers might be in front of them. "I might go back and have her teach me more..."

Tormenta had to admit he was impressed by Jernei's jump having watched it somewhat upside down and sideways from the bottom of the stairs it was even more impressive from his vantage point.
