There was a very amused smile on Jernei's face as she answered Caden. "Yes... the dragon is an elf ... or the elf is a Dragon ... depending on my mood." the last was added with a saucy wink.

"My reputation... Among who?" Blackclaw smirked. "Adventurer's across the Sword Coast hate and revile me as the leader of the clan Io's Claws, kobolds with some skill at fighting back. I know Jernei through old travels together. The bookguy knew me by reputation from me having the Scrolls." A claw was waved dismissively. "I won't mess with you if you don't give me cause to. But in the end, I'm here to ensure my tribe's treasure is safe again."

Due to timing, it was actually around nightfall that the group had finished resting and preparing for their descent into the crypt. Vincent rose from his spellbook, and muttered a few words over himself. It took ten minutes, but eventually he had his contingency back up.

Tormenta stood up and stretched, his wounds had all healed so he reached into his jacket and pulled out a fresh shirt and put it on. "Do not worry about being fully prepaired for everything, instead be ready to adapt yourself to anything, or stand behind the man with everything" he said with a smile

I guess we should figure out whos going first and whos going last. This is an ancient crypt, that I would guess is being occupied by things that dont want to see us, and traps to deter us before we get to those.

"Thank you Vincent" Tormenta said as he put his over coat back on "I'll check the path ahead" with that he jogged off into the woods his heightened monk speed moving him faster than most could run. He could keep up this pace for hours but he did not want to get to far away from the group the woods could be dangerous. As he jogged he looked around for anything out of the ordinary or of particular interest.

This section was oddly quiete. By oddly, it seems pretty creepy, like nothing other than the trees lives there.

Jernei had her trident in her hand as she walked, frowning at the quiet woods. "Where are the birds.. the insects... the animals?" she asked softly, every sense she had on alert from the unnatural silence of it all.

Tormenta came jogging back having scouted a ways ahead of the group, “There is nothing up there for quite a waysâ€

"Indeed. There is something wrong here."

Aftera few hundred meters of walking, they finally reached the Grandfather Tree. A massive oak tree which towered over everything else in the wood.

"That was nearly too easy..." Jernei said softly. "Somehow, I really don't like this."

The door was massive. It wasnt so much a door as part of the tree which could move on it's own to fit whatever size object needed to be placed inside.

Jernei eyed the door, then glanced down at Blackclaw. "Same as always?" she asked the Kobold, meaning him first, her behind to back him up. His answer was a sharp nod, and she looked to the others. "We'll go in first. Master Vincent next, then the two of you as rear guard."

Vincent nodded and everyone descended into the crypt. It immediatly started going down into darkness. The stench of the long dead wafted up through the murkey blackness and reached their noses, causing Vincent to shake his head to clear it.

Then he pulled a small gem from a pouch and muttered a quick phrase over it, causing it to glow about as brightly as a torch. They stairs descended far beyond the reach of it's light.

Jernei winced a little at the sudden brightness, interfering with her darksight. "Master Vincent... did you not think to memorize a spell for seeing in the darkness that doesn't require light?" she childed. Then again... the monk was human as well, not blessed with the vision she, Blackclaw, and Caden had by birthright.

It was the first words spoken since they'd entered. She had mentally been measuring the size of the crypt, in case she'd need to change forms. She had exchanged the trident for the looted bow, feeling the magic within to be better. Even the quiver had smelled of magic, and she felt it the better choice for now.

The kobold hissed at the light as he unsheathed his blade. "Some of us don't need such down here.." He growled, moving to the front of the group.

"Unfortunately some of us do" the monk commented before turning to Vincent "I recomend you keep the light to their backs blinding someone with light in the darkness is never a good idea."
