#1 Favourite Dracula?

Post by Stofsk »

Who's your favourite Prince of the Bloodsuckers?

Gary Oldman in Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation is my favourite. Gary Oldman is awesome on general principle. The fact the film also has a topless Monica Belluci - and she's not the only chick! - only increases my appreciation for it. Man, this film has everybody cool, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Carey Elwes...

Yes, it does have Surfer Boy in it, - I try to zone him out, which actually isn't all that hard.

and wait..Carey Elwes was in it? Who was he in the movie?

And obviously, that is my preferred Dracula.

He was Lucy's husband, name will come to me in time. Carey should have gotten Johnathan Harker's role. Surfer Boy's presence in the film should have been much less than he got.

That particular movie blows ass. Good acting on some parts, but the lines and the rest of it... ew. Oldman did come off rather well, mind-- he was doing his best with rather subpar material. Keanus Reeve and the rest though... bleh.

Anyway! For me? Original book, definitely. Though a few comic-book adaptions are pretty good... if wanked...
