"Yes," the Lord simply responds, looking the Doctor right in the eye, "now, what do you want?"

"I'm here to recruit you into this conflict of ours," the Doctor said, "if you don't get involved, it could spell certain doom for the entire universe... but that's okay, I can move to another one with the mere press of a button... but the question is; can you?"

The Doctor simply stepped forward and suddenly gripped Lord Adam's face without warning, for the Timelords had a power far beyond that of ordinary mortals, they could regenerate from death into a new body up to twelve times, and more prudent to this scenario; they could telepathically relay images and knowledge to another person with a mere touch. And that was what the Doctor was doing, he showed Adam images of the future, past and present, and revealed the ultimate fate of the entire universe if the forces of good failed in even this one test.
After a few seconds, the Doctor let go of Lord Adam, who collapsed to the floor, and then he said, "Now do you believe me, Lord Adam?"

"This will be decided in a battle fought between heroes and villains," the Doctor said, "the being behind this problem likes a fairy tale, it seems."
He glanced up suddenly, glaring into space, "There's something wrong..."

There was a massive explosion of darkness from the edge of the horizon; it then unleashed a man-sized figure made of the same dark energy which streaked towards the beach where the TARDIS was, straight towards Lord Adam.
"It's here, get out of the way!" the Doctor yelled out as he shoved Adam out of the way of the blast, but his efforts ensured his own folly, as the darkness struck the Doctor head on and blasted him backwards at least twenty feet away.

The Doctor got up to a knee, weakly, letting out a groan of pain, "He tried t-to kill..." he let out a sudden scream of pain as a burst of energy shot from his mouth, "Oh... no... it's already begun... and I liked this body too, but I suppose we must all change face once in a while."
"Doctor, no!" Rose called from the TARDIS, "Please don't regenerate, please!"
"He's regenerating?" Lord Adam cocked an eyebrow, "I've heard of such things but I thought they were mere rumours."
"I'm sorry Rose," the Doctor said, looking up at her through brown eyes, "all things change in time." The Doctor collapsed, then, croaking out, "See you soon, Lord Adam, but not through these eyes."
With a flash, then, the Doctor's face began to change slowly, and then there was a flash of light which engulfed him entirely, outshining the sun for a split second before fading away and leaving a much different looking man knelt there.
"Doctor?" Rose asked.
"Aye, it's me Rose," the newly regenerated Doctor said in an entirely Scottish accent, "how dae Ah look?"
"Well, you're ginger finally."
"Oh, tha's nice," he said, struggling to his feet, "and Ah've got a Scottish accent again..." he grinned and turned to Adam, "you still willing to help us?"

"I just put myself an irreversible step closer to death you ungrateful APE!" the Doctor fumed, "You might think you're superior to all non-A'millian beings you xenophobic twat, but you are most definitely not superior to me... and I know full well your opinion on aliens, 'Lord' Adam, so don't try that diplomatic garbage with me."

"And you're going to make me, Lord Adam?" the Doctor simmered, "You're just an A'millian, a weak A'millian with no real power!" He raised a small object, about the size of a screwdriver and aimed it at the TARDIS, "Now you will fucking pay for your apathy towards all life you BASTARD!"
With a push of the button, a blue beam of light shot up towards the sky from the TARDIS' lantern, opening a rift in time and space, "The rift will swallow the whole fucking planet, but it isn't ANYTHING towards what the fucking monster which you refuse to fight will do you pathetic bastard."

The Doctor blinked, "What am I doing?" He hurriedly pressed the button on his sonic screwdriver again and reversed the effect, "I nearly destroyed a planet!" he looked down at the sand and clutched his head, "I... I nearly became as bad as THEM!!!"

"Aye, that sounds like a good idea..." the Doctor said weakly before collapsing to his knees, the rigours of recent regeneration having taken quite a toll on him, "I should return to the TARDIS, regeneration is quite literally a death-and-revival process, and the TARDIS helps me recover from it, I'm not quite finished regenerating yet."

OOC: BWAHAHAHAHA, wait until Granny Glads and the other goody-two-shoes find out about this little exchange.

Manhattan
Morfindel slowly crawled up behind a dumpster, surveying the building beyond. Meanwhile, Demika had discovered the wonders of a modern invention known as a fingernail file, happily tending to her fingernails as the others waited.
"Uh, Valentin, can you stop doing that already?" Ellen whispered. "It looks strange!"
The ranger ignored her, and stated, "I see two figures entering the building Zemora described. One female, human, the other... looks like a half-orc, male."
"Any sign that they're anyone important?" Demika asked, blowing at her nails.
"I'm not positive, dear. The half-orc was carrying a device of some kind in one hand, black and box-like."
"A briefcase," Ellen stated.
"Interesting..." Galadriel nodded. "How are we to enter the complex without raising too much of a threat?"
"Zem mentioned a way in through the sewers..." Ellen said, "But New York's sewers are not a place where you want to go."
"And why is that?" Ra inquired.
"It's... extremely dangerous, and a common hideout for vampires not loyal to the local coven," Ellen continued.
"And a frontal assault would be even more dangerous," Morfindel stated flatly. "I've been in sewers before, and yes, sewers with vampires in them. I say you have nothing to fear, young Ellen."
"Crawling around in Tau'ri sewers..." Ra mumbled. "Hideous."
"I would say it is the best solution we have, if Ellen's friend was indeed correct about there being a way to enter the hideout," Galadriel said. "Though remember. We are here to gather information, not to cause bloodshed."
"But that's the idea right there," Demika said. "Why don't we... walk through the front door?"
"The fuck?" Ra huffed. "This ain't The Matrix, and you are no Trinity."
"Aye, I would likely reduce her to ash," Demika said arrogantly. "I saw the... what was the word... "movie" last night. Quite... interesting."
"Guys, let's get to the point," Ellen sighed.
"Thank you," Demika nodded. "My plan was simply that we pose as people wishing to join their cult. It worked before. The Bhaalspawn did just that, to crush the Unseeing Eye cult in Athkatla."
"Sounds like a workable, if perilous, plan," Morfindel smiled. "Though I've seen much worse odds."
"And I," the tiefling smirked.
"Then I agree," Galadriel said.
"Oh well, it's better than slugging through Tau'ri shit," Ra sighed dismissively. "Lead on, Planewalker."

OOC: Ra, just a little clarification; Forgotten Realms has everything we have save for widespread use of electricity so Demika wouldn't quite have 'discovered' it , as the only surprising thing at Barrow
=============
The Doctor had visions as he slept. Visions of the past.
"It's far from over!" he heard from his first self, before that body was taken by age itself.
"You can't do this to me!" he heard from his second self, before the timelords forced him to regenerate.
"A tear, Sarah Jane? No, don't cry. While there's life, there's..." he heard the voice of his third self, dying slowly from radiation poisoning.
"It's the end... but the moment has been prepared for..." there was the voice of his fourth self, after falling from the top of the sensor dish on Logopolis.
"I might regenerate... I don't know. Feels different this time..." the voice of his fifth self, before regeneration.
"I am not like you!" the voice of his seventh self before dying from a botched operation performed by ignorant humans with no knowledge of his physiology.
"And before I go, Rose -- before I go, I just want to tell you: you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And d'you know what? So was I." the voice of his ninth self, before death from absorbing the time vortex.
"Oh... no... it's already begun... and I liked this body too, but I suppose we must all change face once in a while." he heard his tenth self say...
And then suddenly his eleventh self woke up, ready for action. "It seems I've finished regenerating... and now there's something to find out; who am I now?"
(Cue theme music!)

Death Star Three, orbiting Mars.....
Admiral Roland McKenzie sank on his chair; he did not even have the time to grief for the death of Darth Kreshna, despite the fact they were close friends during their service as TIE fighter pilots back then.
Kreshna's death needed to be confirmed -and since there was no corpse to be found, Standard Imperial Procedure dictated that the Sith should be labelled 'MIA' and a search team should be dispatched to Earth. Roland believed Galadriel -and Irene too-, but whatever he believed did not matter; it was the procedure. So for him -and everyone- Darth Kreshna was still missing in action no matter what.
Until last night.
He was about to dispatch an investigating team to Estrith's palace on Earth when the short transmission from Coruscant arrived.
THE UNFORTUNATE AND UNTIMELY DEATH OF HIS HONOR IMPERIAL SITH INQUISITOR DARTH KRESHNA; GRAND DUKE OF PLANET BASTION, EMPEROR'S REACH, VICEROY OF THE SOL SYSTEM, AND KNIGHT OF PALPATINE (FIRST ORDER) HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED AND MADE OFFICIAL. SYMBOLIC FUNERAL CEREMONY WILL BE HELD AT CORUSCANT ABOUT TWO WEEKS AHEAD.
ACCORDINGLY, ALL AND EVERY EFFORT TO CONFIRM THE DEATH OF HIS HONOR ARE TO BE CEASED IMMEDIATELY. FURTHERMORE, IMPERIAL PRESENCE ON AND IN VICINITY OF PLANET EARTH SHOULD BE RESTRICTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ALL AND EVERY IMPERIAL FORCES ON EARTH SHOULD BE WITHDRAWN IMMEDIATELY.
ALL AND EVERY IMPERIAL FORCES WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY UNDER THE COMMAND OF HIS HONOR IMPERIAL SITH INQUISITOR DARTH KRESHNA WILL BE PLACED TEMPORARILY UNDER IMPERIAL 69TH FLEET UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE DEATH STAR WILL MAINTAIN ITS STATUS QUO AS DIPLOMATIC PLATFORM FOR ALIEN DELEGATIONS UNTIL STATED OTHERWISE.
CORDIALLY,
GRAND ADMIRAL THORNE
IMPERIAL HIGH COMMAND
Admiral McKenzie scratched his chin; this is odd, he thinks. It was against all and every procedure he has been drilled during all his service in the Navy. Coruscant seemed to be so eager to make Kreshna's death official, and it was still odd. The Sith Inquisitor was a national hero from the Guardian War, and he had very little political enemies since the end of the war. In fact, both Senator Clarke and Prime Minister Sate Pestage had put him as a political buffer between each other.
Ronald was not a conspiracy buff, but he believed something was wrong. He did not like politics, but he read political news enough to know that the politicians at Coruscant -if anything- would even ransack Earth in order to find Darth Kreshna instead of acknowledging his death that soon.
However, things were getting more complicated as he heard the recent news from aboard the Death Star itself.
Imperial Military Counselor Irene Morales had gone renegade and handpicked many of her loyal Stormtroopers and went to Earth. The direct order to disband the Imperial Secret Base in an Earth's nation Eritrea had been defied.
The admiral did not like it at all.
==========================================================
Earth, the African Nation Eritrea.....
Irene was still grieving, but she knew she had to do this. Wearing a Stormtrooper armor, she briefed the commanders as they were planning the attack. An Imperial flag is hoisted at half of the pole to commemorate the death of Darth Kreshna.
Their objective was clear; infiltrate a NOD Temple near the border of Sudan, find the Khaerra'din Crystal that once belonged to an ancient race called the Scrin, and bring it back to the base.
LAAT Transport Gunships were taking off while AT-STs, flanked by light battledroids started to move. Dark Trooper Group Delta -the most elite of Stormtroopers which commonly dubbed 'Delta Force'- would perform the acquire the Crystal while Stormtrooper Rangers would provide backup in the withdrawal.

Another place, another time.....
The Zerg Queen of Blades Sarah Kerrigan was regenerating in her fleshy chamber as something disturbed her. Her psionic sight travelled through space, to see who -or whatever- that disturbed her inner sanctum.
A decision she wished she never made.
By scouting through light-years, she had made herself vulnerable to any psionic disturbance strong enough to penetrate her lowered defences. And calling it 'disturbance' would have been an understatement.
A giant fire. A bird-shaped fiery aura exploded through space with a horrible scream, with something that peculiarly resembled a humanoid pulsated in the very center of the bird. Kerrigan could not help but zoomed in to the center, and she saw a semi-transpared, fiery human being in a scarlet uniform screamed as if tormented with greatest pain possible.
And meanwhile, each and every Zerg on Kerrigan's home planet -Zerglings, Hydrallisks, Mutalisks, and even Queens- were slaughtering each other in a macabre frenzy.
And soon, it all was over.
Kerrigan blinked in her chamber; her first instinct told her to regain control of her Zergs, returning all to normal. But while doing so, she wished she had not seen what she had witnessed.
Not even the vaunted power of the late Protoss Templar Tassadar -once her arch-enemy-, not even the power of the Overmind, not even her own power, could compare to the Psionic Tsunami she had just witnessed.
And she wished such thing to never happen again.
Because, on the very first time of her infested life, the Queen of Blades felt fear.

"THE END IS AT HAND!" a deranged man shouted. "CAST OFF ALL YE BURDENS, FOR NYARLATHOTEP HAS COME TO CLEANSE THE WORLD OF MAN! BE YE ENLIGHTENED, MY BRETHEREN, FOR ONLY BY EMBRACING THE UNSPEAKABLE TERROR SHALL WE BE SAVED!"
"I wish to learn more of this," Demika said cooly.
"THEN FOLLOW ME, YOUNG RAVEN, FOR WE SHALL SHOW YE THE LIGHT!"
"And don't call me raven," Demika sighed. "I was called that enough when I happened upon another certain tiefling in Sigil."
"What's a tiefling?" the fanatic suddenly asked.
"It's a... MONSTER!" Demika gasped, making a scary face.
The fanatic backed up a step.
Ellen chuckled to herself, and picked up one of the cult's pamphlets. It was overall dominated by incoherent, poorly typed gibberish about the end of the world. It was of little help.
"There is something here," Galadriel whispered. "I can feel it."
"As can I," Ellen stated.
Demika nodded also.
Finally, Ra started walking forward. The fanatic swirled around, and stormed forward through two wooden doors, eager to get his new converts deeper inside. Galadriel braced for the worst.

NOD Temple, Sudan....
The Brotherhood of NOD was clever indeed to place their temple amidst a small, albeit heavily populated town; most NOD war machines were suitable for urban combat, and if intel was right, the population of the town was pro-NOD.
It was still dark in the morning as two LAAT was descending over market -where the Temple was located an concealed amidst civilian buildings- while the jetpack-equipped Dark Trooper Group Delta made their way to the ground below. Meanwhile, AT-STs entered the city and occupying strategic places. So far, there was no resistance from the city population, but nothing was sure.....

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

A drunk man was sitting on the side of the street as a monsterous, ten feet tall mechanical chicken clanked up, its joints squeeling and hydraulic pistons hissing. He turned to a burqa-wearing woman, and commented, "Fikriyya, have I drank too much wine?"
"I suppose I have too," she muttered, shaking her head.
Soldiers of the Orcish Empire had made a convenient pact with NOD. Their Naquadah-based technology was enough to convince the Emperor to allow the strange group to set up shop, and they had quelled the rebellious human city with thieir propaganda. Two jade-skinned orcs stomped down the street, and also noticed the contraption.
"Oy, whats' this big machine, and why's it pointin' guns at th' Temple o' NOD?" one orc asked.
"Cuz it's an enemy, ya fool! ATTACK!" the other shouted.
The two orcs took up postions, and opened fire with their collosal assault rifles. They did little to the lumbering mecha.
However, the Imperials reacted, opening fire with their blasters. An entire wall was blown open by the attack, and throngs of people started running and screaming in terror. In the distance, a NOD officer cooly reported the incident.
"Imperial forces have moved in," she stated. "I repeat, Imperial. The orcs, those jackasses, have naturally already engaged them."
Soon, NOD rocket buggies were pooring out of their base, lurking into the streets and alleys. NOD rocket soldiers, backed by orcish heavy infantry, stormed into buildings surrounding the temple, taking positions.
One of the NOD soldiers took a specially modified AT-4 from its case, and flipped up the sites, preparing to fire at the nearest walker. Surely the archaic weapon would have no effect on an Imperial AT-ST. Surely.

"How are you feeling, Doctor?" Rose asked of the newly awoken timelord.
The Doctor had changed into something a bit stranger than he'd previously had on. Jeans, white t-shirt, a cream-coloured fleece jacket and then a large red-brown overcoat over the lot of it.
"I'm feeling fine," he said, "but on second thought; I'm not sure I want to be ginger."
"Changed your mind?"
"Regeneration does that," he said, "now where's that bloody Sith Lord gotten off to?"
"I don't know, he left the TARDIS and said he was headed off system."
"No time for that now, though," he said, "I've a feeling that we should head to Lord Adam's palace, he needs to be talked to."
He began manipulating the controls, and the central column began moving for the briefest of moments. "We're here, now let's go." He stepped out of the TARDIS and into Adam's office, turning to said A'millian, "Well hello there."
