Legacies stood at attention. "The situation had been handled sir. There was no reason to irritate and lie to the subject. Permission to speak freely sir?"

"If you want this to be a team that you can lead, you need to act more like a captain and less like a sargeant on a power trip. If you keep threatening your team the only thing you're going to get is a bullet in the back on our second mission. You're leading a team of independants sir, they don't care about the government or they'd have taken them up on the offers they no doubt have recieved, most of those guys joined because you forced them, because the government can give them better stuff, or because they actually want to help and they know this is the best way. I would say sir, that your best chance of leading this team is convincing all of them to fall into the last category." Legacies looked at his superior watching for his reaction.

"Noted," said Blackheart. "Now what part of being a team member includes undercutting its leader in public or encouraging crimminals in their delusions of unaccountability?"

This is why I hate normal seats.

Legacies looked around as if trying to sniff out their other targets. "What about the others that were here? You think someone else is trying to solve this?"

"Possibly. We don't know enough and we've got a missing senator in the hands of some very bad people. Time is short."

Alex, fed up wth being cooped in a damn car, got out before they started moving
"I think I am faster on my own too feet anyway" he said as he shut te door behind him. He hated cars anyway, there was a reason why he never owned one in his life.
It was true, he could move faster. It was uust moe difficult, and slightly imprecise

Blast watched the new guy take an uncomfortable seat. After he was finished shifting around Blast offered his hand.
"Hi, I'm Blast, what are you called?" He asked.

Seven’s eyes flicked back and forth like he was reading something “Yeah I can get that pretty easily,â€ÂElheru Aran wrote:Anderson pulled into an inconscipious alley. Getting out of the van and looking around, checking the skies, making carefully sure no eyes watched. No trees around; nothing, not even a pigeon or sparrow. He nodded and turned around, facing the wall, clicking a remote.
Just like that, the wall vanished, revealing a garage door that lifted as Anderson drove in, closed rapidly and re-cloaking behind the van...
Turning the van off, he turned around in his seat and inquired of the cyborg, "Got thermal readings of entire city? How precise?"

Alex didnt need to check personal webcams or traffic lights.
"Blackheart, I have the approximate locations of the secondary targets. They wend down a blind alley and disappeared. The birds I had tracking them lost track, but they did not exit the alley."

Looks like we had something real high powered in the area at the time I’m having trouble finding the exact nature of that one….” his voice trailed off for a second “Shit, I was um monitoring the traffic cams again and I got a flag on some unusual activity and it looks like someone is adjusting the traffic flows. Don’t think they can find this place though, there are no traffic cameras round here just a couple personal web cams and I doubt they will check those.”
Anderson stepped out, went to a door in the garage wall, clicked a short series of numbers into the keypad by it and stepped in after it whooshed open. As it thunked shut, he sat down before a large console and looked outside the mirrored window looking into the garage. Putting on a headset he tapped the microphone-- "Hear me?"
Not bothering to wait for a reply, he began tapping keys.

When he noticed the last line, his lips pursued in annoyance and grabbing a thick rubber armband, he stepped out, carefully switching a small pager-size device on his belt on. He opened the van door and tossed it to Seven, remarking "Don't step out van till tell you're safe. Wear at all times in here. Have had to stop invasions before. Would rather there were no accidents. Would be regrettable."
Heading back to the control center, he sat back down and started tapping keys, checking cameras one by one...

Anderson, listening to the radio from the van in the control room, snapped "Put it on other arm then, around neck if have to, just wear it."Shark Bait wrote: Seven looked up a distant expression in his eyes, “um sure I’ll put it on when I’m done here” he said glancing down at his arm that was occupied by plugs “yeah I cant get human thermals on these images I’m getting way too much background radiation. Might be able to get something off this spy sat it seemed to be paying allot of really close attention, still there is really something weird about it. I mean if they had this many eyes on everything… eh probably nothing might just be something that’s been left on for a while who knows.
He turned back to the screen and clicked a few keys.
Immediately he noticed the guy that'd approached him in the alley the other day when he'd had those broken ribs. Eyes narrowing, he started clicking through camera views, and noticed a car following him.
He checked all around, and in the air as well-- he'd noticed at least two fliers at the Binary Building. A few more keys clicked...
He then sat back, set up split-screen views of all revelant targets, and clicked his microphone. "Seven? Might want to hurry up. Visitors soon."

He grinned ferally, and clicked a few keys.
"Oh, I don't think we'll have any problem with the passel o'em... sit back and watch the fireworks, boyo."
But Anderson was no fool; he pressed a button and the control center's armoured doors clicked open. He called, "Get ass in here, now! They can't get in here..."

“Aw fuck me in the USB port” seven said to himself as he ran for the control room, when he got there he took a fast look at monitors “Oh, no, no, no, no, this screams bad news dude, I’m not usually one to come into a mans home and tell him how to run his shit. But man these are not our enemies this will only make thins so much worse for both of us.”Elheru Aran wrote:He grinned ferally, and clicked a few keys.

Gravitas was sober. This was a distressing reality, but Nova physiology was not going to be held back by some crappy drinks with ice cubes and umbrellas. So it was that he was forced to take stock of the aftermath of the previous day.
It seemed the raid had gone passably after the bizarre, drug-induced visions he experienced. Lots of property damage, sure, but when you have faux-Novas running around, it happened. What bothered him was the other incident.
The Senator was kidnapped. No signs of a ransom. That was.. Odd. No signs of a body, either, which was odder. The old, beaten up Viasoft laptop was pulled from it's carrying case, and the decidedly ramshackle and makeshift adaptor was attached to interface with the coffeehouse's wireless, while the two agents tailing him tempered their hangovers with java.
Data flickered by, as Gravitas leaned back. So. Senator goes missing in the middle of a Pro-Meta speech. Why? Was there signifigance to the topic, or just to the fact he was in the open? Would links show that related to the Metas he mentioned?
He choked down the word 'Meta'. This timeline depressed him so. He had even found himself here. A postgraduate with no plans but being a professional student. Out of sheer pity he had given the student leads that would at least give him his name in a few peer-review journals.
How do you track these folks down? No residual quantum energies, their powers were.. Different. He had strained his M-R Node trying to sense their presense when they were next to him once or twice.
Power without the threat of Taint. What a strange concept.
There was, of course, the last option. It reeked of old superstitions, mysticism, and gave him a huge migraine. But the old mumbo-jumbo was right. Everything everywhere was interconnected. If they touched once, there was a thread between the two. It would be a crapshoot to see if he found the right ones, in the chaos, but...
For ages, scientists had searched for the 'graviton', the particle that carried gravity. They had never found it. This was because when one looks for a particle, one doesn't see the strings connecting all particles together...

Saibot touched down on the roof of the building next to Legacies and Blackheart, the field fading from him.
"So...what's the plan? I kept a eye on the van as long as I could, and I don't think they saw me. That and apparently Doc Croc's lil birdies found thier place."
Saibot's hand rested on the handle of his Dragon Saber, holstered on his left side, the pointed crystal on the pommel glinting in the rain and dull light.
"I followed them myself till they got into the bad part of the city. Could maybe even find the trail they left...."

Seven took the mental equivalent of a deep breath before pulling his right arm back and making a fist, he paused for a millisecond and thought about the action he was about to take. This man was insane he wanted a war against people who were not his enemies, and while betraying someone was not attractive to Seven there was no way they would get out of this alive if Anderson decided to make a stand. With that seven brought his fist down landing a hard punch to the base of Anderson’s skull, he struck hard with what was essentially a titanium gauntlet, then brought his left arm up and stuck him across the back of the head again. Anderson had no defense against this surprise attack and fell forward into his keyboard unconscious as anyone would be after taking such a hit. Quickly Seven took out a zip tie he kept in his pocket incase he needed to hold something together and used it to secure Anderson’s hands behind his back. He then used the computer to open the garage door and deactivated the cloaking field and security systems, before shutting it down and walking outside into the ally. “Fuck this crapâ€Â
