Mark sighed and nodded. "Alright then. So where is he now? We might as well get this over with now so proper training can begin."

Mark 25 looked straight at Blackheart, his helmet simply reflecting a distorted image of the rest of the room. "Please set desired primary directive priorities for apprehension of rogue metahuman agent. Current priorities are: Protect Innocents, Protect Team, Protect Self, Apprehend Target Alive, Apprehend Target Dead."

John closed the trunk of the car he had spent the better half of the past two months upgrading and restoring. It wasn’t a particularly unique car, just a ’93 Chrysler concord, but when he found it in a junk yard it was already partially gutted and covered in duct tape and other junk. Once he had stripped the duct tape off and added some armor plaiting, a new coat of paint and a new engine it looked like any other sedan, which was exactly what he wanted.

John then sat down at his computer and plugged himself into the mainframe. Using a mixture of traffic cameras, and public web cams (Google earth definitely had its uses) he had been tracking several of the people who were involved in the attack and kidnapping of the senator yesterday and now it seemed that several of them had converged on a federal building. A cursory glance at the security systems of the building and he decided attempting to access any internal cameras to get an idea of what was going on would take too long and was far too much of a risk to attempt from home. What was more interesting was that one individual who had driven off in a van with a young woman, whom he had later lost when she teleported away, had now met up with another mettahuman, who had also been involved with the incident. The two of them were now conversing on a roof top, unfortunately the camera didn’t have audio pick ups. John downloaded a guide to reading lips, even then he only got a portion of the conversation. Apparently he was looking for the individuals who had kidnapped the senator; unfortunately John had been unable to track the senator either. Perhaps it was time for Seven to join up with some actual heroes and stop the freelancing work, first he’d have to keep watching maybe he could find an opportune moment to make contact.

"Current priorities are confirmed," Blackheart replied.

[Hotfoot]

"Affirmative, protocols set. Ready to provide support." Mark 25 stood up and began to move towards the door. "I'll drive."

Saibot watched the cyborg move towards the door.

"All well and good for you chief, but I'm not going anywhere till I get my effects back...."

"Distribution of equipment should be handled through proper channels. Task Force leader is Agent Blackheart. He is senior operative in this situation and most likely to have access to any confiscated equipment of new recruits. Operatives are not commonly sent to the field without full load. Strictly illegal technology may be confiscated indefinately if civilian risk outweighs potential protective power. Please consult Agent Handbook to discern if your previous equipment qualifies as illegal."

In the back of his mind, another response nearly floated to the surface..."Bitching won't bring it back." Metal, however, can cool all things...

"Of course," replied Blackheart. "It's waiting for you just outside the briefing room. You'll have to sign for it, of course. There's only so much red tape that meta powers will burn through."

"Alright, I have his last known location from my...sources" Avatar said, and gave the approximate coordinates, down to a 50 meter radius. The birds couldnt give addresses, but they saw landmarks amazingly well. And from what they sent to him he could roughly calculate location of the sighting.

"Now he is conversing peacefully with another individual. His chances of staying in the same location are probably fairly low, we will have to move quickly"

"No. I cannot find where a teleport ends."

"Okay. Was trying to find Senator. Too bad, then. Time to do it old-fashioned way."

Anderson began to step over the edge of the roof when he looked back at Niner and remarked, "If up to tag along, can. Might need a little backup."

"No thanks, you go on. I'm just relaxing today."

"And how the hell do you know that?" Saidbot asked gruffly as he moved to the door...he had his saber and ring to get back. He wouldn't feel safe without them.

Alex looked at him. Then looked at the sparrow yabbering at him from the other side of an open window. He then looked over at Saibot with a knowing expression

"A little bird told me"

Saibot groaned, just before stepping through the door.

"After I get my saber...first thing I'm doing is kicking your scaley ass....that was a bad joke...."

With that, Saibot went and began the paperwork for his ring and weapon....

After the five minutes of signing various papers and identing himself, he slipped his power ring slide the saber back into the sheath at his side.

"Much better...."

Alex laughs, and points at the bird on the windowsil.

"His name is Bruce"

Mark 25 had left the room, and went to the parking lot. His car was heavily modified, but unlike his own enhancements, most of the major modifications were not immediately visible. To the average citizen, the car looked like any other commercially available vehicle, at least until it got into the shop and the heavy duty suspension system, strange electronics, and security system were notice by the mechanics.

The car could hold up to four "normal sized" passengers in moderate comfort, which should suffice for the purposes of this mission. When the other team members exited the building, he was waiting, engine running, window rolled down. "All non-flier, speedster, or teleporters should get in and buckle up."

Alex cot in, and buckled up as requested. He didnt like cars, after his powers manifested, he never really did own one. But it was faster than using the sewers and easier than wind sailing.

Legacies looked at the car. "Driving? In Millenium? Were we planning on getting there today? Unless of course you have some secret government road or sirens or something, that's going to take awhile."

He didn’t need the contract but now that the car was finished he didn’t have many projects to occupy his time, this could be fun he reasoned. He unplugged himself from the computer and grabbed an EMS strobe out of a locker and tossed it in the passenger seat of his car, it was very illegal for a private citizen to own but it would allow him to change lights from red to green cutting down on travel time. He then switched to a combat chest plate and grabbed two FN5-7s and a couple extra clips, he did not think he would need them but it was always better to be prepared. Digging his keys out of his pocket he jumped in the drivers seat and opened the garage door, pulling out onto the street he headed towards the building where the two individuals had been speaking. With any luck he would get there the remaining individual moved on.

John vaulted over the side of the roof "hey there" he said in a fairly friendly voice "seems like your very popular today."

"Who are you?" He called out, an energy ball ready to fire.

"I'm seven" John said sitting down on the edge of the roof, "I’m sorry I didn’t mean to frighten you. I’m just trying to get a little information on what happened yesterday at the binary building. I know the man you were just talking to was there yesterday, and I have a sneaking suspicion that you were too.â€Â
