Maybe.... ;)

Sidenote: old games are not aquisitions, they are waste of dough.

Bah! Frack that!

A waste of dough is having to constantly buy new hardware or a new boxxor entirely to be able to keep up with the ballooning requirements of new games.

Graphics quality from circa 2000 is just fine (examples: Red Alert 2, Homeworld and Baldur's Gate II), and the games are more affordable, less eye candy and more storyline (compare RA2/YR to Generals, and I rest my case), and they don't require fucking upgrades to use them (Homeworld2, I'm looking at you).

Oh, I'm sorry, question to KAN. How much does getting the old antique games from eBay cost you?

Ah, my molestake. I wasn't being serious.

But yeah, I myself don't see the logic in going around looking for early '90's games on ebay, outside of pure nostalgia. I confess I might like to find some ancient games like LHX, but those cases are very rare.

Lets say it this way, playing HW2 does not require substantial upgrading from most people...who didn't buy the cheapest DELL with no upgrade slot

Okay, if accepted, I'm going to move this thread to G&C, merge it to Ra's thread.

On the condition that ALL of you who have recieved new games write a review in the game review section, clear?

Oh, the cost. Let's see... The TF1942 costed me US $20.50 + US $18 S/H. Magic: The Gathering is actually cheaper, though, where I purchased it with Buy Now options for US $10, although the S/H cost is US $26.15

Neither games have arrived, but I ain't worry. It always takes quite a time for the items to arrive at Indonesia, and based on experience, all previous items always arrived.

As for reviews... Well I actually planned to write a review about SCARAB (Electronic Arts, 1996) instead of the two games above. Problem is: I haven't got the time. :???:

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

You're not getting away... my Orca Bombers will flatten you, fool!

See, it's 2006... and I play Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2, and the original Homeworld... all old, none a waste of money. Along with that, Air Combat, the originator of the Ace Combat series...

Hey, it's from 1995, and it's still damn fun.

I have played a Kensai/Mage. Bringing out that old character: I have haste spells. I have teleportation spells. I have ranged arcane spells which could destroy buildings. I have Dak'kon's Zerth Blade in one hand and Celestial Fury in the other. The chances of you escaping are a hundred to one. And the chances of you surviving when I inevitably catch up are a hundred-billion to one. Do you seriously want to go down this road?

Actually, some old games are a waste of money, at least for me...

Take, as an example, the simple board-game Risk. The modern versions are pretty nice (and I'm not talking about all the spin-off shit that inevitably spawns from such a game, there's a Narnia Risk, a LotR Risk, SW Risk... everything you can think of. I hate them all. It diminishes the superb originality and individuality of the game.), but one of my friends has one of the old versions. This one, besides the plain functionality of the Roman numerals that represent units (though it does work nicely), the board is absolutely horrible. It's deformed, and completely messed-up - the board's square, after all. It's a twisted misrepresentation of the Earth. I saw something similar in a dream. My friend and I were so horribly depressed by the board that we put it away.
