Urban Dead: The Price of the Oath

[Dark Silver]

The bomb landed near the guards, but didn't stay there, as the zombies moved, and the bomb was kicked back towards the Militia.

It went off, fireworks cracking and popping, as the zombies rushed the humans. Three of the guards went down in the confusion, thier throats torn out and zombie teeth in thier flesh, as the Leader stepped back into the room with Reaper, as if in answer to the challenge.

It was a massive zombie, taller than Petro or Reaper, towering over even his guards, it's body was obviously atheltic, if not outright musclebuilder at one time, and it still wore the tattered shirt of it's life, the the nametag clearly visible.

It roared frustration as it went after Reaper, a lead pipe in one hand.

[Caz]

Sherry heard incoherent screaming over the radio, followed by Marley shouting that three were down and he was hit.

"Irregulars!" she ordered, "Fall back! Assist Marley's men!"

[Josh]

The surviving Irregulars pulled out of the building. This was in the process of becoming a debacle.

Petro chopped through the skull of the last guard in the vicinity, then looked back toward the fight between Reaper and the leader.

[Cynical Cat]

Reaper gave a final squeeze and the drove his talons through the zombie's skull. The weakened skull collapsed with a pop the same time that the explosives went off. Wendigo dropped the corpse as the leader stepped out. He was bigger than he was, his flesh almost whole. And he was armed.

Wendigo snarled and drew a knife with his right hand and a meat hook with his left. This was the first time he had gone up against weapons. He snarled and advanced.

[Caz]

Sherry jogged up to Petro.

"What the fuck is going on?" she asked, regarding the bomb that had blown on the militiamen.

[Josh]

"They tossed the fucking bomb," he said. "Get outside and get things unfucked," he said. "If anybody's got any bombs left and we're not out in five minutes, blow the fucking building."

With that, he turned to head back in to help Reaper.

[Caz]

Before, she would have refused. Would have followed him. Would have demanded that he make it out okay.

But she'd grown since those days, and although the idea sickened her, she knew that his life was a small price to pay for the safety of everyone back home.

Without another word, Sherry kicked through a window and dove out into the street, where a smaller battle was raging.

The leader growled, "garh harba gahbag!"

The leadpipe cut through the air with a loud whistle, aimed for Reaper's body.

The zombies lifted themselves off of the Militiamen, and proceeded on thier way, towards the other humans. More warm meat was waiting. One of the Irregular's were a bit to slow responding to Petro and Sherry's recall, and he was caught by two of the horde, thier talons ripping into his arms, blood welling up.

His cries were echoing in the room, as his throat was ripped out by more Zombie teeth, then his neck broken as his head was pushed forward.

Wendigo caught the pipe with his hook and swept it aside. He opened a gash on the leader's arm with his knife.

[Josh]

He came charging back in, no shouting this time. Whirling as he entered, he slashed the hatchet through the neck of the nearest guard. Reaper looked to have the leader in hand for the moment. That left him three of the fast fuckers to kill.

Odds never bothered him anyway. Finishing his spin, he brandished the hatchet and lunged for the next one.

The leader grunted, the flesh opening up.

he retaliated with his left foot coming up from Reaper's knee.

The first guard zombie went down with the hatchet, and the others turned towards the new threat. The one Petro leapt towards semed to grin, as it leapt at the man, claws flashing

[Caz]

Sherry spied the zombies feasting upon the downed Irregular and growled, moving within range and firing four quick shots into them, one's head splattering, before she paused to reload.

[Cynical Cat]

Wendigo saw the leg strike coming and shifted. He grunted as he took it in the thigh. He laid open a long slice in the leader's chest.

[Josh]

He suddenly dropped to the floor, rolling sideways into the zombie's legs and burying the hatchet in its knee as its body slammed over him and hit the floor.

[Dark Silver]

The slice for the chest was blocked, his arm coming up.

It's lipped pulled back in a feral seeming grin, as rigid fingers drove at the stomach.

The guard tumbled over Petro, as the other two began to move towards Petro.

Wendigo snarled as the fingers drove into his body armour. The arm couldn't block now. He jammed his blade into the leader's shoulder and twisted.

[Dark Silver]

Reaper was held in place with that move. The Leader's head snapped forward, it's teeth aiming for the Ghoul's throat.

[Josh]

He kept rolling, sticking his legs out to scissor another one of the guards down. Not the most effective attack, but he was buying time. Turning, he scuttled under a table and rose on the other side, drawing a second knife from his hip sheath and waving it at 'em.

"C'mon you bitches, I can do this shit aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall night," he said, grinning through bloody teeth.

[Cynical Cat]

Wendigo pushed on the knife, twisting the leader's body and keeping the leader's jaws away from his throat long enough to drop the hook and jam his talons into the leader's other shoulder. He pushed back, keeping the jaws away as he tore muscle. "Too stupid to win!" he roared.

[Dark Silver]

"sssssstuuuupis harmanzz..." it hissed as the Leader pushed himself against Reaper's body, using it's larger size and strength against him. Forcing the Ghoul to give ground, working it's claws free of the armor.

"Eat......harmanz..." he hissed, forcing the knife to the hilt into it's shoulder, and sliding the hook deeper into it's own flesh, seeming to reveal in the pain.

The guards worked thier way back to thier feet, the three begining to circle Petro's table going for the man.

[Caz]

After having taken care of the remaining zombies outside the buildings, Sherry and Marley had regrouped and were counting their losses.

"I sent the Guard back to the trenches," he said. She nodded.

"We lost two Irregulars, and I'm counting four down on your side..."

They both looked to the factory, to the sounds of the fight.

[Josh]

He feinted right, then kicked the table toward the two coming that way, heading for the one that he'd wounded the knee on, slashing with his knife. It was fast, plunging its talons into his shoulder. He spun the grip on his knife in midair, plunging the blade into its skull. The knife penetrated, then the blade snapped as the zombie staggered away from him, falling to the ground. He grabbed a pipe from the ground, waving it frantically as the last two recovered and closed in on him.

[Cynical Cat]

"I eat the dead! I will feast on your flesh!" Stupid rotter. Wendigo had mutilated its upper arms. It may have mass on him, but it no longer would have much strength in its arms. Which meant it couldn't stop him from doing this.

Wendigo released the shoulder he gauging and tore his knife free. He drove pushed past what feeble resistance it could muster and drove the blade into the zombie's neck.

The knife plunged at his neck, and the zombie twisted it's body away, the knife missed it's throat, and sliced down his chest. Claws swipped up again, for the arm holding knife, it may lack strength, but the movements were still swift enough.

the guards rushed at Petro as he finished the other other zombie.

Reaper sneared. His arms were armoured in leather and chains. He ripped the blade up, tearing more muscle on the way to the throat. His other hand grabbed the zombie by the head. He dug his claws in and pushed the head back, baring the throat. The zombie was bigger, but Wendigo's flesh was who. Undecayed. As he tore with the knife and forced the other back, he lunged forward with his jaws. The zombies weren't the only ones that could bite.
