Sherry fell back likewise, taking a moment to turn her back to Petro.

"What hit me?" she asked.

A few shards of what once was a whole skull were splattered across her jacket.

A peice of concrete was hurled from the door, into the hall, barely missing the humans.

"Ghrah hah harmanz" the groaning growling voice come out, followed by what could only be called keening groans.

He danced to the side as the concrete came through, then looked over to Sherry. "Got any boom booms left?"

At the mention of the word "burn," Sherry produced her lighter. She tossed it to Reaper as Petro gave the go-ahead.

"All yours," she said with a feral grin.

As he mentioned the bombs, Sherry dug through her backpack and removed two more of the firecracker packs.

"Got your own light?" she asked, handing them over.

"Banana gangbang gramma HAR HAR! BARHAH!"

The bodyguards rushed out of the door, moving quick, no at all like the lesser breathern. The leader had choosen these because they were the best, had instructed them to arm themselves, bars, rocks, peices of wood.

They filled the hall, rushing towards humans, again, the Leader appeared at the door, again fading into the shadows after he had given Reaper a chance to see him.

Then the horde made the question academic by rushing in. He hefted his hatchet and waited for Reaper to go into action...

Wendigo drew his shotgun and fired low. He shredded the right thigh of an advancing zombie, causing it to fall. His next shot blew apart the front part of the next zombie, splattering him with rotting brains as it fell. Wendigo emptied the remaining shots into the torso of the third, before finishing it by smashing its skull with the butt of the shotgun. And then they were on him.

"Petro, the bombs!" Sherry shouted as she took a few steps back, moving into a small alcove that once held a receptionist's desk.

As soon as they started to envelope reaper, he bellowed an 'Urrah' and leaped into the fray, hatchet swinging down for the skull of one of the guard. The zombie was fast and cunning, dodging to the left, so the blow nailed him in the collarbone and sank well into his torso. Planting his feet, Petro threw his weight against the handle of the hatchet and slammed the zombie into the wall.

"GRAHA BARMAN!"

The Leader shouted to his horde, as the knocked Reaper aside, then backed up.

The Leader growled, one hooked claw pointing at Wendigo Reaper, the eyes settling on him, "Bah hahang hambarg!"

The challenge was issued, as the zombies hissed and groaned at the group.

Why weren't the goddamn bombs going off?

But then the horde was around them, and she was being pressed back into the alcove, unable to assist them.

She could funnel the zombies easily enough into it, keeping them at bay with her axe held out as she fired with the other hand, aiming for the kneecaps to keep 'em down.

They looked... Armed. Fuck.

But fortunately, they weren't close enough yet.

Reaper tossed the empty shotgun backwards and hooked his claws. "You want me? Come and get it. You are dead and I am the Eater of the Dead, the End of All Flesh." He stood, poised for violence.

The zombie hissed and backhanded him, talons slashing his cheek. Retaining his grip on the hatchet, he yanked it back, turning toward it and lashing out with his boot, shattering its knee. As it sagged down, he slid the knife from the sheathe on his chest and jammed it through the zombie's throat, slamming it back into the wall and pinning it.

The rest of the guard were... standing around, while something down the hall hissed and snarled. He planted his boot in the pinned zombie's chest and tugged his hatchet free.

"Alright, alright, who wants some more?"

The Leader hissed and stepped back into the dark room, as the zombies seemed to create a line for Reaper, keeping out of his reach. They had the orders, the odd one belonged to the leader.

Then they could feast on the warm flesh...

Reaper was completely unfamiliar with the prospect of fair play and so was uninclined to expose his back to a zombie horde. He lunged forward towards one of the guard zombies and tore into its face with his talons. He seized its skull and squeezed, lifting it up to use as a shield as he drove his claws into its skull. "Come to me! Face me and face your end!"

Why hadn't Petro lit the goddamn bombs off yet?! Sheryr growled, picking up a chair and shoving it into the closest zombie, bodily shoving them back as hard as she could. Somehow, she avoided getting her head swatted off as she fumbled for her second pistol, then began firing into the heads of the ones closest to her.

He took advantage of the distraction to snag one of the aforementioned bombs and light the fuse, tossing it into the midst of a gaggle of guards, before bailing out of the room. He plowed into the backs of the horde pressing Sherry, swinging his hatchet wildly.

Sherry saw Petro coming and let the chair go, scrambling backward to avoid being caught by the blade of his hatchet.
