Silver blinked, but didn't struggle as he was lifted up, he wasn't in the condition to fight this....what ever the hell this thing was, considering it just lifted him bodily like he was nothing.

"Fine, tell me what you want, we can come to a deal...deal's are a good thing right?"

"Doctor. Ammo. Oil. Whetstone." Wendigo carried him towards Carter, stopping to retrieve his axe and thrusting it into his bandolier sheath. With a grunt he picked up the other man. He began limping toward the mall.

"Oh yeah...you get us to the Mall big fella, we'll get you oil and a sharpening stone for your blades. Ammo, we'll have to see, it's scarce ya know..." Silver swallowed, the bloodloss from his torn up legs was starting to make him lightheaded.

"But yeah...maybe we can work something out on the ammo part..."

Silver'shead started to lull forward, his concentration wavering.

The patrol team spotted him first, then got on the radio. Near Melanie and Frank, the radio crackled.

"Books, we've got... fuck if I know... looks like a zombie carrying two of ours in. Er. Patrol three. Uh. Jesus Christ, that thing's got a gun. Looks like it's got Silver and Carter... what the fuck am I supposed to do here?"

The observers lurked about the rooftop, watching Reaper as he trudged with determination toward the mall.

Zimmerman stared at the radio, momentarily at a loss for words.

Melanie was on her feet in an instant, ready for action. She alerted via radio that she was going to meet them because it "needs a woman's touch to ensure nobody blasts a head off."

Jogging up to the roof was easy, and she sidestepped her way around the crowds and equipment and various implements of the ballistas until she was hopping over the edge, landing a good eight feet on the ground below. Her back protested a bit, still not quite recovered, but she'd live.

With a whistle, she waved the trio over toward her.

"JESUS CHRIST!" Marley and Freddy both yelled at the same time, also heading for the wall and going over the side. Weapons readied, they dashed after Melanie.

"Hold on!" Marley yelled.

"Watch it!" Freddy followed up.

She looked to Marley and to Freddy, told them to holster the guns.

"You can see by his posture he doesn't plan on hurting me," she said with a shrug. Yeah, when Petro was gone, somebody had to play the part. "Stay back."

Keeping her hands obviously clear of her weapons, she decided to handle this in the best way she could think of: to not really notice the fact that the man carrying her friend and the militiaman wasn't really a man at all. She waited for them to reach her.

Carter piped up. "He's friendly!" His face was pale and ashen- the trip wasn't very kind to a man with a battered body and broken legs. "He wants healing and ammo. For fuck's sake, he saved our lives. Give him whatever he wants!"

As he--and it did indeed appear to be a he--spoke, she nodded.

"Aye," she said. "I can get that leg of yours all taken care of."

She paused for a moment, surveying the damage to Silver and Carter.

"Thanks for bringing them in," she said, touching Silver on the forehead and confirming her beliefs that he had in fact passed out.

"Luckily I can do all four of those," she said, motioning for him to follow her.

"This is Marley and this is Fred; they're friends of mine and they're going to take care of Silver and Carter, okay?" she asked, jerking her head toward the men in question and instructing them to take the wounded men to Dorian.

"You can stay out here," she said, "we'll bring you your oil and ammo and whetstone. But these two men need a doctor too. I can't let them die."

She looked to Marley, then to Freddy with a shrug.

"I'll stay out here with you," she said, "to make sure they keep their end of the deal."

Marley moved forward, followed by Freddy a second later. Marley grunted under the strain of hefting Silver into a fireman's carry, while Freddy handled the lighter Carter with more ease. They backed away from the bizarre monster quickly, hauling their burdens back toward the lift lines.

And she stood there, eyeing him from her natural height of only one-fifty centimetres, a bit higher thanks to her boots.
