#1 Earthdawn?
So I've been braced by a couple of people who would like to know when we're getting back to Earthdawn?
So I need to ask, who is interested? Do we want to try the new edition, or keep to the old? Maintain the same campaign or do a new one?
Edited:
Rules!
A: You get the same number of legend points that we ended the last game with. If you are changing your race or character class, tell me before posting the character.
B: We are adopting a house rule suggested by Julian. In the book you can only pick one talent option per circle. You may now buy as many talent options as you had Legend Points for. That said, try to get your character to the same circle!

EARTHDAWN! EARTHDAWN! EARTHDAWN! ALL MY VOTES FOR EARTHDAWN!
Okay so, my preferences: Yes Earthdawn, definitely, please. The new 4th Edition is an overall improvement over 3rd Edition, i strongly encourage changing. The campaign we were on was fun, i loved Stormbreaker, i would prefer to continue it. Hell even if we do start a new campaign i'm liable to just play the exact same character.

Okay, I hate to be that guy but if I don't get opinions I will have to assume that anyone who didn't speak isn't interested.

I apologize for the delay in responding Frigid. I would be willing to come back to an Earthdawn game. I am excited about the prospect of using the newest edition of the game and I would prefer if at all possible to use the same character I played previously. However, if a reboot makes more sense to the story that you have in mind I am not against the idea of creating a new character. ^_~

I am in. I am ambivalent as to edition, but would prefer to keep the old campaign

I would prefer to stay in the old campaign as I still have alot of ideas, plus I honestly like doing trail scenes!

Yeah we'll have lots of fun taking the caravan to Claw Ridge to Portage. Especially since the caravan master is likely to take advantage of the crew of badasses he's got escorting him to brave the more dangerous but faster southern route via the Old Theran Road skirting the Twilight Peaks. Then we can get ambushed by Orc Scorchers, Troll Skyraiders, Therans, and/or that one clan of Dwarven Skyraiders!frigidmagi wrote:I would prefer to stay in the old campaign as I still have alot of ideas, plus I honestly like doing trail scenes!

Nethan is ready to continue to take notes on the lack of codes of failed Kaers, but to best be able to do so, we will have to adjust to the latest standards reference book. It's for everyone's best interest, you see.

Honestly, I'm up for either starting over again with remade characters (since I'd like to redesign Fehl for the new system anyway), or just continuing where we left off with reworked characters.
I think either way, we're going to be redoing our characters from scratch with the new rules, but I'm completely fine with this.

I am resigning from the Earthdawn game. My Sundays are going to be even more fucked for what looks like the rest of the month and frankly, the damage that has been done is already pretty bad. On the sessions I can attend I'm low participation, in part because I'm still behind on events from having missed previous sessions. Hells, I haven't even managed to pick up the armour I bought back in fucking April, not that I've needed it because the only fights I've been in have been so laughably one sided they haven't even triggered my defensive spells. It's a crappy pay out for my effort, a crappy pay out for frigid's, and its only looking to get worse in the immediate future.
Good fortune to you all.

I'm sorry you won't be with us for the game anymore man. All I can say is that you always have a chair at my table.

So I am sorry to leave this until now, but I've got a family event that I have to attend tomorrow evening, and this will preclude my presence for tomorrow's game.

Suggested House Rule: Take the Step, where outside of combat or other stressful situation (or major rituals) where your character has time and is calm. You can take your full step as your result (like taking 10 in D&D) and not have to roll. Original suggestion by Lys
Some of us had a brief discussion about it and are generally happy with the idea but I thought I open the floor for comments.

My brother-in-law's birthday dinner has been moved from next week to tomorrow evening, and I consequently will not be able to make Earthdawn.
