I get the impression that this TGOD is a battle between opressor and freedom fighters. Consider the alliance:
Borg, Goa'uld, Galactic Empire. They're the space tyrants, with awesome forces and "terror" qualities.
Trollish. Destructionators. Daleks. They're the freedom fighters, relying more on creativity than brute force (not sure about the Daleks, though).
How about our inactive ally, the Imperium of Man? Come on, Josh!

Well, in my as of yet untold huge backstory, my guys are a huge benevlonent empire. Lord Adam is in fact the absolute ruler of this huge empire, but he was a loyal righteous Knight for about 800 years before ascending to the throne, and those values carried over to his command.
However, in our home galaxy, there are two massive forces warring with us. One is a Republic whose people beleive my people are brutal conquerors (however they are soon to switch sides) and the other is a truely evil force that enslaves trillions and brutalizes all they see. The republic is fighting with them out of necessity right now, if they show any signs of changing side, the evil force will nuke the piss out of their homeworld.
Luckily, for the purpose of this TGOD, none of that is relevent. We have problems back home, but when we came here without worry of those things.
You'll note that at first, we sent in a small force of all android ships, just to assess the situation. We wern't going to commit a huge force to fight in a far away galaxy. True, we did have the starbase that I am using here now, but that was used for mining more than war, and could have been abandoned if need be.
But you then killed my Destructionators so headquarters sent in the current fleet to finish their mission and determine the threat. We also felt indebeted to the Trolls who dies defending those ships from the Borg. And now thousands of brave A'millian people are dead amongst the stars, and for what? What have we gained here? Nothing yet, but now we must fight to give the public the idea that these brave men did not die in vain. If our purpose is fighting for freedom, all the better in the public's eye.
And we will be victorious.

A brave and worthy story there, Destructionator XV.
I'm afraid my character is quite a bit more shallow and self absorbed. Obviously Lord Walper is primarily concerned with himself and gaining power, utilizing any and all those around him to achieve his ends. Apparently his only fear is, as is with all those who crave power, to lose it. And always wanting more of it. :P

But you haven't fought my magic powers yet. We seem to be getting whipped in space, but soon you haven't seen my true power yet. Sadly, though, I can't use my powers against space ships. They are only good up close and personal. But they will make for an interesting fight between my hero and all you Sith Lords when the final facedown happens.

@Ra: yes, the asteroid belt is being destroyed, but not destroyed yet or else we're violating the non-killing rules. Dartzap is absent, mind you. Leave him some space to defend those asteroids. :D

I'm quite looking forward to meeting these magical forces of yours, D. XV. It could be an interesting matchup against Lord Walper. :PDestructionator XV wrote:Classic.Robert Walper wrote:Oh, and almost forgot. My personal interpretation of the TGOD that's in progress.

Now, now. Let's not wank our magical powers here, otherwise the TGOD would be very uninteresting.
In fact, I deliberately giving Darth Kreshna the inability to control his 'Phoenix' power, otherwise the TGOD would get bored quickly. Haven't you read Marvel Comics? You know, the X-Men? The Dark Phoenix Saga?
As the explanation why the 'Phoenix Force' resides in me, it is because the 'Phoenix' is always looking for someone with telekinesis ability as its host. In X-Men, the host is Jean Grey, who transformed into the Dark Phoenix following the possession. So I guess it's reasonable to assume that a Force user would be a target of choice of the Phoenix Force.

Here's a run down:
he is partially telepathic, and can enhance this with concentration.
He can create a few illusions at a time.
Those two powers combined means he could meditate in his command base and send telepathic holograms to enemy leaders far away.
He can fly on the power of his will alone.
He can do telekinesis (much like a Jedi would)
He can do persuade with his voice (again, like a Jedi, but more like a Bene Gesserit from Dune)
He can move very quickly and has precise agility.
He can throw fire and lightning from his hands, either concentrated in one direction, or spread out in many directions.
He can do short range teleportation, but it takes a second or two to charge up.
He can erect magical barriers around him or at short ranges (with some concentration) that are imprenable by normal people (but a Jedi may be able to break them)
He can cure wounds by toucing them.
He can concentrate his thoughts and see lifeforms around him, een through walls.
And lastly, if he dies once, he will be revived in a few minutes. This only works the first time, though.
And his sword won't be sliced up instantly by lightsabres. Its cortosis weave... or something. But it can be used in a lightsabre duel!
Hmm, that is an excellent list that will make for excellent combat, and decent story. I hereby declare it the canonical list of my magical powers for this TGOD.

Exactly, hence my reason for creating tangible/believable reasons for why my character is so powerful. The direct control and milking of the Collective Force power is what makes my character so powerful, but I introduced limits to this power in my large post there, including how this power can severely backfire if overly used as Lord Walper found out. Clearly the power is not infinite or indefinite, but it's certainly impressive. Furthermore, if the Collective is destroyed for whatever reason, it's a major blow to my character. Still a powerful Sith Lord (the 60 thousand midiclorian level for example ;)), but back to the more normal levels. My scene of my character hurling starships left and right in the battle was a parady of the Palpatine senate scene in ROTS. I consider that upper limit of what my character can to, although I am most looking forward to my first chance to flaunt my character's personal combat capabilities with two lightsabers.Kreshna Aryaguna Nurzaman wrote:Now, now. I don't think my list of powers is very wankish, especially since most of them are just used in close personal combat. But if it seems wankish to you guys, speak up and I will make adjustments. I wouldn't want this to get lame, this has been the best TGOD ever thus far.

Let's make this TGOD interesting. I welcome any side-plots unrelated to the battle. Love stories. Personal bickering. Anything. I plan to write a fanfic based on this one after it's ended.
Probably I should be ashamed to take a VERY powerful cosmic force (IIRC Galactus even fears the Dark Phoenix, am I correct?), that's why I keep myself helpless in controlling it.

That's a good idea, Destructionator. I should do the same for clarification as well. My character:And his sword won't be sliced up instantly by lightsabres. Its cortosis weave... or something. But it can be used in a lightsabre duel!
Hmm, that is an excellent list that will make for excellent combat, and decent story. I hereby declare it the canonical list of my magical powers for this TGOD.
-obviously Lord Walper started off as an apprentice to Petrosjko, but was severely injured, losing both legs and an arm in a duel on the volcanic planet.
-The original Borg Collective wanted a Force sensitive individual for speaker purposes, but once assimilating Robert (me ;)), I eventually managed to overpower the queen and replace her as the will of the Collective
-I had a "top of the line" Borg body constructed. Enhanced reflexes, strength, speed, armor and adaptability, including the ability to protect against most KE attacks. This body included cloning my original one, but artificially increasing the midiclorian levels to 60,000, three times that of Anakin. In my post on this, I hinted more was possible, but that the level used was all that was needed to channel the real power; in this case, tapping the entire Collective for Force powers.
-Naturally, as a Force user, my character possesses precog and every other know Jedi ability. In a lot of cases, far more powerful than typically because of the Collective energy and Force effect.
-My character uses two red lightsabers and aggressive Force powers in personal combat, although I've yet to meet any opponent to dispatch in this fashion. *pointedly eyes Destructionator* ;)
One unique aspect I'd like to mention is that because my character is tapping the Collective for the "uber" powers, my Force lightening is not blueish, but is fact more Borg colored greenish. And the raw energy I'm able to tap from the Collective means any typical Force user would be completely powerless to stop it, and even stronger individuals would need quite the power to hinder it. :D

You're talking to the guy that used Force powers to bitchslap a large portion of your attack fleet by throwing them around like toys and crushing them like tissue paper. Somehow I think that most of your powers listed are well within that range limit. ;)Destructionator XV wrote:I don't think my list of powers is very wankish, especially since most of them are just used in close personal combat. Heck, I was getting worried about the level I was upping my character to honestly, hence why I decided to make a limit to just how much crap my character can do. I even introduced an angle where that over usng my powers can destroy them in the process. Of course, if I ever decide to do that, I better go out with a damn impresive bang!! ;)

Of course, Ra has very little in the way of special powers. That's where Lady Galadriel comes in.
I don't know all that much about her abilities, since I haven't finished reading The Silmarillion, but I do know that she has excellent telepathic abilities, she has the "gift of foresight", and she tore down a huge wall at some point. She also posesses one of the three rings of the Eldar, and was the apprentice of Melian, a powerful goddess-type figure. I'll update this as I read further...

You know what I really love about this one TGOD?
It is the variety of the parties involved.
We have the Galactic Empire, the Borg, the Goa'uld, the Discworld Trolls, the Daleks, the Destructionators, and the Imperium of Man, albeit this last one is still inactive. Ahem, Petrosjko!
This situation reminds me so much of Babylon Five.
However, the way I see it, the Empire still have the strongest shield and firepower here. Hey, not my fault. It's just the way they write Star Wars! While the opposing forces mostly relies on creative tactics, as well trying to copy Imperial technology (Ahem, Lord Detritus?)
I'm just thinking about something; well actually I had thought of this since I watches Babylon Five during the Shadow War session.
So........
How about invoking a neutral party? An ancient, Lovecraftian menace that wreak havoc everywhere? A new enemy whose firepower and shield rivalling the Empire?
But this enemy is at war with everyone; causing troubles to everyone. A "neutral" enemy that is being controlled by the TGOD "Dungeon Master" (but who's the DM in this TGOD, by the way?).
The player factions (Borg, Goa'uld, Trollish Imperium) are busy fighting among themselves, but they're under the threat of this ancient menace as well.
And probably this enemy is somehow related by Darth Kreshna's odd behaviour. Probably they are some sort of 'Cosmic Guardian' that being awakened by the presence of the Phoenix inside him.
This 'Cosmic Guardian', while causing trouble to everyone, is actually want to destroy the Empire and kill the Phoenix incarnation. Meanwhile, the Sith Inquisitor becomes totally insane and aims for total destruction of the Guardian as well. The war between them is reaching the brutal level, total destruction using weapons like Death Star, biological weapons, etc.
I imagine a final showdown between the Galactic Empire and this 'Cosmic Guardian' fleet; while other parties like the Borg, the Goa'uld, the Destructionators, and others becomes concerned, "a war between them would destroy this entire solar system!"
(you know, like Shadows vs Vorlons in Babylon 5)
Just a thought.

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

I have to say that it could be pretty interesting. And of course there is no DM, it is a TGOD! These are just made up by all the players as we go. But I like the way this one has more structure than most TGODs, I think it makes it much more interesting.
We could always recruit more players to this TGOD, either as new factions or the cosmic force, or oe of us could take up the cosmic force.
But what I would hate is if it becmes pure GE vs other force leaving the rest of our forces on the sidelines watching. So it would have to just occasionally show up.

This one is more like STGOD to me.... Basically what makes the S in STGOD?Destructionator XV wrote:But I like the way this one has more structure than most TGODs, I think it makes it much more interesting.
Or everyone of us could take up the Cosmic Force at any moment they like, as long as we have common agreement about their power level.Destructionator XV wrote:We could always recruit more players to this TGOD, either as new factions or the cosmic force, or oe of us could take up the cosmic force.
Actually I prefer the battle between Galactic Empire and Cosmic Guardian to happen mostly in the background.Destructionator XV wrote:But what I would hate is if it becmes pure GE vs other force leaving the rest of our forces on the sidelines watching.
The real 'heroes' are the Borg, the Destructionators, the Goa'uld, the Trollish Imperium, etc. Not only they would be more involved in battles, but they would also perform 'adventures' like investigating the ancient mystery, searching for the Cosmic Guardian's weakness, uncovering legends behind legends, and such.
I mean, we have characters like Ra, Galadriel, Lord Walper, Lord Detritus, Lord Adam, etc. How about exploring some ancient ruins in remote planet, trying to uncover the mystery? How about travelling to Dathomir, trying to find out why Darth Kreshna absorbed the life-forces of the Witches?
You know, just like in Babylon Five, where the real heroes are the races like Minbari, Humans, Centauri, and Narns where the Vorlons is just a background.
