Marcus felt a hand on his shoulder. The Lupine. It was saying something. He couldn't hear what. With a yell he turned to face the creature, his hand raised to strike. His red gaze caught a human face and diverted the blow in time. Marcus went limp as his body gave out.

"Where is safe harbor for you?" Holden grunts as he drags the Lasombra to the car and dumps him inside. Some fiddlign around in the same fashion, and the car revs to life.

Cold and practical exterior. The insides are a different manner.

Marcus tries to mumble something but his lack of a lower jaw gets in the way. He drags his hand out to a flat surface and writes in blood the address to his home.

Some time later Nathaniel races down the last street and comes to Elysium. He hadn't heard any pursuit but didn't want to take a chance. Strange how much value he was giving this unlife. Regardless it should be safe inside, and the heads might deal with the problem, especially if told about it.

Forgetting to feel disgusted he got past the guard, put away his coat and looked for someone to tell about the beast. Still polite, but he was practically bursting at the seams to tell someone. Another type might have shouted aloud.

He finds the Seneschal, who is unimpressed being as the event happened at the outskirts. Not feeling entirely happy about this Nathaniel retrieves his coat and heads to the address given him by Marcus--the third time he's tried to get there. It'll take some more time, but he isn't too worried about an attack this deep in the city. Maybe he can get some work there, maybe he'll decide to leave town post haste.

Holden watches and makes a face, and starts driving. He watches the street names, trying to avoid the more crowded locations. After a long while of Marcus bleeding all over the place, he eventually finds the street and turns on it, bumping and bouncing along to Marcus' haven.

His knuckles are white as he grips the steering wheel.

Father Leo was oddly happy. He didnt know why, but felt that some sort of burden had been lifted from his shoulders. He was doing the unthinkable. Going to Elysium for news, when he was that strange person from the previous evening, still wearing the mask.

He stopped him again

"Fancy running into you here"

Npoticing a twinge of..pensiveness and residual fear in his aura, he decided to ask the question.

"Something bothering you?"

After he parks the car out front, he looks at Marcus. He pushes the body up so that it sits, and watches for a moment. Then pensively, he bites into his own wrist, tears off some flesh, and drips Vitae over what could be considered a mouth.

Green eyes glow in the darkness as he watches the act unfold before him. Silently, he lets his power drain away so that his natural enemy can regenerate, regain strength.

The added "bonus" of a blood bond runs through his mind like a mirror shattering, each shard showing a scene which is warped by its partners into thousands of possibilities.

Holden doesn't outwardly care; this is the Masquerade. This is how things would have been done back in the day. When his heart still beat.

Marcus shakes his head and tries to let the blood pour out of the hole that was his mouth. A hand raised weakly to scrape at the blood, trying to tear at his own throat. Marcus's attempts cause him to fall over where he glares at the Ventrue. It is obvious he would rather die than partake of his blood.

Marcus continues to weaken as he reaches for the handle to his own door. He had to get away, he had to get away now. This was too close, far too close.

"Forget it." He snaps and slides out of his seat, moving across and opens Marcus' door, letting the Lasombra fall on him, to be supported again. He helps carry him over to the lair, wrist still dumping some of his Vitae on the ground. It mattered not, although Holden did indeed let the grip of power cause him to overstep his bounds.

Marcus watched the blood, his mind begging to drink from it. But too much would be lost by that. He already owed his life to this kindred and that was bad enough. He began clearing his thoughts. He needed to think. He needed blood, human blood. He needed his jaw, he needed to be able to speak, his spine was a problem but one that was not needed to be taken care of immediately. Marcus ushered with faint hand movements towards one of his secure upstairs rooms.

Holden dragged the Lasombra where directed, eyeing the place. He had to dip into his own Vitae supply to gain the strength to drag Marcus up the stairs. He showed no outward sign of irritation, but the hunger began calling in the back of his mind. Marcus being as tore up as he was, he would make a quick meal, probably painless.

But the questions and consequences afterwards ended such thoughts. He bumps open the door and almost tosses the Lasombra onto the bed, wiping his hands as he does so.

Marcus knocked over a stand, grabbing from it a pen and pencil. He began to write.

'Bring me sustanance and I will owe you a large debt.' the letters were scrawled haphazardly and took a moment to understand.

Marcus looked up at the Ventrue, as much as he despised it he actually owed this kindred, big time.

That creature in the religious mock-up again...
Comrade Tortoise wrote:"Fancy running into you here"
"Believe you me, it has been a night for unexpected meetings. Of many kinds."
"Something bothering you?"
Nathaniel lets out a short humorless laugh. "Hah! "Something" indeed; you see my good sir I have just escaped my first run in with those wolf men that supposedly haunt the wild. Tore the face off another kindred I had also happened to meet before I could turn the other way."

Almost unconciously he strokes his mask with his index finger, feeling the contours of his face that wasn't.

"The locals didn't seem to care a whit about it though." He says this with some slight disgust, less than usually impressed with the powers that be right now.

"What of you? I can tell you are kindred, yet you wear the cloths of a priest; that seems a little... curious. No?" He says the last words with a hint of a deeper meaning; the answer is more important to him than the mere words suggest.

Rosemary moves in the alley ways, in between the shadows. It has been a long trip to get here. The others are not sure of what is going on. Matter of fact, since the split, she has been working on ways to achieve cognasence without their knowledge or involvement - a blackout period for them if you will. This was finally achieved. Cassie and Mary were in the back of the subconscious, buried for when the need arose or when they could no longer be supressed. In time, Rosemary would find a way for them to forget about her, and each other. It really was for the best. They were, at their best, baggage, and got in the way of true progress.

Finally, she reaches her destination of Elysium. She is quite fatigued over the whole ordeal. She spies the back entrance that she had seen before. It is time to learn of her clan and their place in the Elysium. She will seek them through the back door.

She moves from the shadows to allow herself to be seen by the guards. Her face should be enough clearance to allow her access.

The ghoul at the door let Rosemary into the Elysium. There were vampires about this night, many unfamiliar pale faces and their attendants. Only one among them was Nosferatu, a great, tall akward figure shrouded in a huge coat. He was thin almost to the point of emaciation and hairless. Broken fangs filled his jaw and black eyes gleamed from his skull.

Rosemary looks about the area, noting the new faces in subtle regard, categorizing them for later. One never knows...

She notices the obvious choice for Nosferatu, the only one who does not seem to be hiding in one form or fashion.

She makes her way towards the gaunt figure, her leg dragging behind her, noting any who are surrounding or around him. No one. Good, the better to speak to him.

Her natural instinct is not to be so obvious, nor to go for such an obvious choice. But she realizes, she is a childe, an unfortunate called a wayward, and even one who can adapt quickly would be in over their head at this point. It is important she at least observe the reactions of her own species.

She moves beside him, and rests nearby. With a soft melodic tone, she asks, "Having a good time?"

He looked at her. "No. I have no affection for this place of polite lies and hidden disgust. But sometimes I must attend. You are the new one, the one from out of town. I misrecall your name."

"Rosemary," She says without fanfare. "Yes, the politics seem a little...useless once the body stops breathing. But then again, I am new to this city as you said. What is your name, then?"

"I am Broken Stick and your are mistaken. The politics are the reason I am here. They demand attention and if you wish to survive to reach my age you will learn that quickly. Man is a political animal and that does not cease with death."

"Broken Stick," Rosemary repeats. Considering, "Why do the politics matter then? The transformation has made us monstrous and inhuman. Why hold on to that which is mortal? It does not seem natural. It does not give sustinence or shelter. What kind of knowledge would one learn from silly games which are played?" Her tone is inquisitive, but keeps an even keel. It is quite obvious she is seeking knowledge of her own.

She is unconcerned with the insults. "Why would I do that? There doesn't seem to be any benefit. Besides, he is stronger than I am, and I do not have a death wish."

Broken Stick either lacks patience or is trying to test hers, Rosemary observes.

"You are either lying to me or incurably stupid. Neither wins my approval. I would suggest avoiding me for whatever brief time you stay in this city."

Lying to him? Is the Elder that far gone?

Her jaw shattered as the Broken Stick battered her across the room. "I told you to leave me, you stupid bitch. Do not think because this is Elysium you are immune to consequences."
