"I don't doubt that ya could, Cassie, maybe we can work somethin' out." He allowed the car to die where it sat and slipped from the seat after her. Holden sniffed at the air - fresher than the house they were just at. If it wasn't such a sensitive area in his mind, then he might have the idea to squat here.
Holden shook his head quickly. No, that ends. Necessity was important, but he's better 'n this junk. Suitable arrangements must be made promptly. It was his own damn fault for not arranging such beforehand, but time was of the essence.
Besides, who'd have thought he'd be dragging around a Nos?
Anyway, he folded his hands behind his back and looked to Cassie before he began walking further into the wolf's den.

"Why?" Cassie asks imploringly. "I came to the city to sing and perform. To make it big."
Cassie stumbles over the various tracks left in wayward fashion.
Meanwhile, Mary peeks from behind, tracking what may be left.

"I don't doubt that ya could sing to the skies 'n back again; it's all the rage, the music yer singin' now." Holden looked left and right and sniffed. Blood was somewhere in the air, or at least the stink of death. "Maybe you could make it big down here where the predators are.. but I think you might find fame difficult in the land of the livin'."

"I don't want to be a preditor any more. Can't I just...get better?" Cassie is definitely at the surface. If Mary was not in tracking mode, she would be in torment. But she does not even hear the words spoken. Blood. Death. The scent of the Hunt. Fills her. Consumes her.
The fangs expose, despite Cassie just meandering about.

Nathaniel looked up at the sound--augmented by his preternatural hearing--of uneven footsteps approaching. Someone dragging something? Voices too...
His eyes made out a form he recognized: the Nosferatu he had met briefly at Elysium. And--its?--companion. He did his best to convey neutral interest and waved in greeting.

Cassie smiles. "Oh its that nice masked man from the Elysium. Hello Masked man" She waves.
Mary breaks from her reverie to taunt. "He laughed at you Cassie. Behind your back. He flintched when you touched his mask. He doesn't LIKE you. Back the fuck off and get back to business
Cassie frowns, and her wave lowers slightly.

"Darlin', it can only be what you make it to be." And he pauses as he looks over at the masked man. "Interesting... Well maybe a masque like his could be your salvation. Ya know artists cut off their ears for love."

Marcus makes his way back towards his car once he has put enough distance between himself and the torn apart corpse. Then he started back towards his car. Thoughts on how to properly run this war once Wright was done being foolish crossing his mind. The voice of Cassie broke him from his revery and he quickly stepped back into the shadows, waiting. The Ventrue was with her.

Cassie says in a quieter tone to Holden as he is closer. "You know, I asked him about it when I was there, but he ...Well, he didn't want to talk about it."

"Pleasant enough evening I think" Nathaniel's voice came out smooth and disarming. "Still the tracks ain't the finest of places to spend it in. On my way out myself, for just that reason." He nods at the other man. "What takes you to this part of town? If you don't mind the asking, of course."Bratty wrote:Cassie smiles. "Oh its that nice masked man from the Elysium. Cassie whispers to Mary, "See? He seems nice enough."
Mary says flatly. "Nice? No one is nice. Those who seem nice are the worst sort."
Rosemary remains in the back, planning. She has more important things to do than debate wounded pride.
Cassie stumbles away from the conversing gentleman. Weren't they supposed to be looking for this Cargo guy? Well she will find him and then maybe she will get to sing again.

Holden nods and mumbles to Cassie before he can approach. "I can imagine... person that touchy 'bout a mask, usually hides somethin deep within 'imself."
"Sightseein', as it were. Li'l birdy told us there'd be somethin' interestin' round these parts."

Marcus heard the voice of the masked man as well. This would be as good a time as any really. Marcus stepped out of the shadows. "Well, look what the trains brought in." Marcus smiled and looked at the assembled kindred.

"Interesting? Round here? Sir, I would be surprised if there truely was anything interesting these parts. Not much that I've seen except tracks, trains and the unfortunate."imperfect vision wrote:"Sightseein', as it were. Li'l birdy told us there'd be somethin' interestin' round these parts."
He suddenly had an urge to lean on a walking stick, or a cane perhaps. That'll be his next project he decides.
A sudden thought occurs to him.
"Anything two kindred like yourselves find interesting wouldn't happen to find itself bothering me, now would it? If so I'd appreciate knowing."

Cassie shakes her head to the Masked Man. "No, we were just looking for ...someone." She hears a familiar voice and turns to face the shadows. "Marcus! We had no idea how to get ahold of you. Is this where you stay?"[/i]

Holden froze at the new voice, and then broke out into an open grin. "My my, interestin' indeed."
"Well, ya weren't at the top of the list, but now that we're here.." He shrugged.

"Maybe this is fate, the way we keep bumping into each other. Ya know? Maybe there's a reason."
Mary sniggers. "Yeah, ill fate."

Marcus snorted. "No, I have a rather nice establishment of my own. I was just here on some business before I head out of town for a little while." He looked over to the masked man, he would be useful for such a trip. He was probably one of the artistes, that would be kind of useful for whipping the Anarchs into a rage. Marcus looked back at Cassie. "Who were you guys looking for?"

He was a little surprised he didn't notice Marcus' approach, but hid it fairly well. The mask hid the rest.
"This does seem to me an unlikely gathering of kindred in one remote spot. I am wondering if perhaps there is more going on than I thought?" He sounds annoyed at the thought of further complications.Bratty wrote:"Maybe this is fate, the way we keep bumping into each other. Ya know? Maybe there's a reason."

Rosemary smiled, the body and face seeming to shift and change, so that the gestures are different. A cool and calculated cat. "You, Marcus." The voice almost purrs. "We were looking for you."

"No sir, just business. There ain't no reason for us to be trespassin' on what could be yer property." Holden nodded, and then tipped his head to the triplets as Rosemary emerged. The Silence and I wrote:He sounds annoyed at the thought of further complications.

Marcus watches Cassie, or was it one of her personalities? That doesn't add up. Last night he'd said he didn't live here. "Ah, well, you found me. Any particular reason?"

"There are a lot of things going on right now, Marcus. Wheels turning. Thoughts spinning. Do you hear?" Rosemary uses the voice Cassie was blessed with to its fullest extent. "Many winds blowing. Violent winds."

A bum stepped out from behind a railcar. His clothes were tattered and dirty, his beard and hair long. He pointed his finger at Marcus, who was still marked by the blood of his kill. "You leech son-of-a-bitch! Laughing it up with your leech buddies now, is that it? You and yours are overdue for what's coming to you!" He stomped forward, face twisted in rage.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

He lets out a dry, humorous chuckle. "This is most definately not my territory; I'm much too new here to have a stake."imperfect vision wrote:"No sir, just business. Territory indeed. And here!
