Jayzus, last fight's a bitch with a decker. After like four tries I finally limped my three-quarters dead main to the final scene. The last bit was him shooting a bug, trying desperately to dispel it before it rezzed, having it rez and miss him (thanks, high dodge skill!) until he finally got two crits in a row and dropped it.

Okay, ready for more!

Fuck the UB. Fuck crazy lady. Fuck Sam. I signed up to ice his killer, not this!

My Doberman proved brave, mind. Too bad certain things under the city were too much for him.

I do like that they essentially returned us to the start of the setting, so the UB is a thing again.

It was a rough fight for me, but I hammered through thanks to Mind wipe, Distraction and Flamethrower III.

Guess y'all should have tried a mage.

I had an Ares Predator and a deck loaded with top-line software and expert systems...

So yeah, hard mode.

I did have cybered up eyes and a replacement arm, at least.

Argh, enemy iced my program and the rest of the enemies will not take their turns. Now I have to do the mission over. Again. Before that, I had quit since I did not realize my decker had to access the computer while I was roaming around the level with my samurai wondering what the fuck I had to do left.

I suppose I should cyber up my guy too, but I rather save nuyen. lol I am using the cheap 1000 nuyen Shadowrunners too. I thought if they died, I cannot use them again, but they do, so that saved some Doc Wagon packs too.

Martin, my friend, I'm a mage with maxed out spell slots and willpower, a good dodge, medical packs and I'm carrying high level spells of doom and destruction.

In short, it's gonna take more than that.

I still prefer my solution.

You try to hit me? You miss. And then I punch you in the mouth, and you die.

Physical Adepts are fun.

I actually stayed away from the Adapts, my runner group was usually gunslingers, shaman and deckers. Although when I didn't need deckers (the extraction mission), I dropped them for more gunslingers.

No I hear you, there is significant fun to be had with guns. My next runthrough of Shadowrun Returns (and I love saying that) will probably be a gun-bunny street samurai.

I'm really hoping for a return of gun-adepts. Those were awesome sauce on a pile of awesome in the tabletop game.

Give it time, I think someone will probably figure out a custom class/mod for it. I'm looking forward to new campaigns and such coming out. Can't wait.

As for the final battle, I didn't think it was that particularly difficult. I ran through it with my decker/rigger, Harley the wonder clown, a physad and a rage mage(I hate everything about my life so I'm going to burn it all to the ground). Lots of deep fried crispy critters. The roaches were slightly less amused by this than I was.

Harley was kinda disappointing.

"I hit stuff with my sword."

Like what, clown boy? You missed more than you hit. More like "I swing my sword ineffectually at things and then get eaten, but still magically turn up alive in the final sequence after the decker does all the heavy lifting. AS USUAL."

I never much liked that particular op anyway. Any time I'm constrained against inflicting damage on those who are attacking me, I dislike it. It doesn't give me options. Fortunately I was running a drek-hot decker who made short work of the problem. Also, for the record, Coyote was useless. "Oh no, don't hurt them!" Don't worry! I can't! You couldn't hit the broad side of a battle ship at point blank range with your shot gun!

It's okay because usually I just let Paco and Coyote get beat up by their precious junkies, though the last time I accidentally mis-clicked and Paco gunned one down.

Then I was kind of mean to her brother so he sorta brained himself.

It was a tough-love intervention, honest!

Some shiny news: The modding tools have been used to create the first content-only release, an array of more guns from the Street Samurai Catalog. This will probably lead to ways to insert them into missions.

Heh. No more kneecapping spam with shotguns. That was a pretty cheesy move.

I crashed the game on the UB run because the bug resurrected under the overwatch of three shotguns and was promptly obliterated, which sort of ruined Watts' sinister speech.

"See! They cannot be-" *BLAM BLAM BLAM* "...stopped."

I blew $60 for that!

Haha, cannot wait for Berlin. Funny thing is, I probably like the save feature the way it is. Since I like to be a perfectionist I might have just kept reloading the game, but I kept going even when it looked like I was going to lose and it was more fun for me this way.

Wish the Robodoc carried more medical supplies... a third medipac would've been nicer than a grenade.

I am looking forward to anything but Seattle. I've gotten just a bit tired of the Redmond Barrens at this point, I have to admit.

Hell, something set in or around the Chicago Bug Zone would be nice. I do so enjoy killing the bugs.

Really though I can't wait to see what sort of campaigns come out of this. There's a shitload of potential here.

Looking forward to some good long campaigns with multiple Johnsons and ops against more corps. Berlin should be out soon, hopefully.
