It is at this point that I'd like to ask the GM to have Farshot slowly learn engineering over time in the background, with the eventual goal being not of demolition, but repair and modification - similar to what Steve's character had as a specialty.

If granted, I will certainly not expect to have Farshot be effective at doing any of this for quite a while - there is much he has to learn first, after all. However, he would be quite good at doing so once he had the necessary knowledge and experience, especially given his smartfog.

If not, this can be a hobby for him in the background, and not directly affecting gameplay.

We'll have to discuss that.

Blastcap should be able to cover most of the basics of engineering. Actually, I bet in most universities in the galaxy she could not just teach graduate level courses, but also teach the people teaching graduate level courses. However that is just the result of being a gazillion years old and a member of the most advanced civilization around. By Cybertronian standards she can cover the basics. Main problem is, at the moment she doesn't like Farshot very much.

Alright everyone, if you feel the need do one more post then I'm doing a screen change. I don't think we need to RP the administrative and logistical details.

Some of the administrative and logistical details may be interesting, but it's likely best as a narrative device to flesh them out in flashbacks as the story develops.

Misstatement corrected. I was reading about space bridges and Cybertron yesterday. I guess it kinda stuck.

A timeskip sounds good to me. I'll just put it down that Farshot is studying during his downtime.

In my downtime, Shimmer is integrating her intel team with the FWA's intel teams, attempting to get a unified Intel/Counter-Intel bureau up and running soon as possible. The best Anti-Viral protection and Firewalls will go up on all computers we can get permission to upgrade.

Knowledge is Power. Shimmer wants to get the Power on our side.

In Cutter's downtime, he's examining the FWA's air forces, seeing their close air support vehicles, seeing their combat doctrine and such.

It should be noted that I'm pretty much just sitting here...twiddling my servos, while waiting for something Grindstone can do occurs :P

I think you mean Crankcase for the repairbot. Grindstone's pretty good at making broken 'bots, though.

As to what strategy y'all decide to go with, I'll point out CynCat has command, so you need to convince him. Cat if you'll drop me a PM when you got everything hashed out. No hurry.

Space battle strategy is not Cavalier's strong point. He would simply like to be pointed in the direction of an incredibly powerful enemy force.

Havoc: "So basically if you side against him, he summons Cthulu."
Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

A couple docking clamps later, Cavalier is a new gun turret. :)
