Cyncat, I'm afraid I have a wrench for you.
Unfortunately, in the chaos of the tremendous battle that has just erupted, some things have fallen by the wayside. I'm afraid that whether through simple communications overload, target fixation by the comms officer, or plasma interference, your ship did not get the Empyrean's message about not firing on the incoming Borg cruisers. As far as your crew is concerned, a wing of Borg vessels just showed up on your starboard flank, and are approaching at high warp. I ask that you react to this development without prejudice.
White Haven? Hope your shields work.

White Haven I have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that having just faked a bunch of Borg transmissions, the possibility that these Borg are fakes is something not far from Kadon's mind.
The bad news is that he's a Klingon with tricobalt weapons.

That more or less matches my projections. I'm...uh...edgy. And also hate your dice with a passion. :D
The hell of it is, with those two d100s, I can't even beg for Dark Heresy rules, where low is good, because then TEV wouldn't get the message. >.<

As it happens, White Haven, whenever I ask someone to roll, I flip a coin to determine whether high is good or low is good. As such, you can never tell if a given roll just screwed you or gave you awesomeness.

All of a sudden I'm glad I'm only inbound mistaken for the Borg than already there. Knife fight in a broom closet, and them some crazy motherfucker brought grenades.
Shodar's a generous dude, though. He's not even trying to sell us deathsticks, he's giving them away for free! Three at a time!

Well, I think I just lost Captain Anderson. Unless Marcoa can beam him aboard. I certainly couldn't even if this wasn't in the middle of a firefight.

Marcao cannot beam him aboard, at least not yet. The Avenger has raised a transport inhibitor around itself.
I would not count Anderson as dead yet though...

Apologies for the double post, it should be noted that CT has earned a cookie through meritorious service in keeping the USS Immortal in one piece. Long may his green blooded brain function without the ravage of disease or excess emotion!

Fortunately, Frigid, you do read wrong here.frigidmagi wrote:Unless I read wrong, he's in space without a suit.
What happened was that Tyran dragged you onto his side of the umbilical, whereupon a forcefield was erected between you and the others. When the Avenger ripped itself away from the S'harien, it exposed the S'harien's side of the docking bay to space. Avenger's side was sealed by the aforementioned forcefield. As such, the good news is that you are not vented into space.
The bad news is that you are now alone in the umbilical airlock of the Avenger with a trio of holograms.

Not bad for the Spectre -- a kill on a capship, and the Assault Shuttles are down to one. Objective accomplished there.
As I said, the Spectre is going to remain a mobile artillery piece for the moment.

Spectre might not be all that tough, but torpedo boats are extremely dangerous when they have support.

And ammunition. That too. This is why Scylla rarely fires them.
