I have now seen Endgame...

I am not a happier person for it...

In fact I probably could have lived my life happily without ever seeing that horrific abomination.

I require the Immortal, the S'harien, and any other ship presently engaged in actively scanning the surface of Nivoch IV to please roll a D100 in this thread.

I hope that this is the die code. If not, I am going to be a tad embarrassed. :(

I'd like to be clear here. Only people who are actively scanning the surface of the planet right this second need roll on this.

The more sensors you point at the colony world the less you're pointing at the Borg. I know you non-Klingons are rookies at this paranoia stuff so I'll give you pointers.

S'harien passes. The rest of you do not, either because your rolls were too low, or because I do not believe that you were presently engaged in actively scanning the planet. Most of you do not have people planetside, and all of you are busy with other things.

That is the spirit in which that post should be taken, yes.

I require that everyone post an updated count for just how many civilians they plan to take on, and what those civilians consist of.

I'll be taking on 5,000. Of that I'd like to set aside ~1,000 or as many as I can get towards filling out the crew of my ship. Engineers, doctors, etc. I'm also looking for more combat troops so those with skill and or training will be allowed on. To sweeten the deal, any skilled person who offer their services to the ship until the end of the war get passage for their family as well. A good portion of the rest of the refugees will be those who were original colonists. The remaining selected by lot and what not.

The pickings for professional engineers, doctors and the like are extremely slim colony-side, to say nothing of soldiers. The colony has already been picked over for professionals several times, and so there is no way you could, on short notice, find a thousand such people in general, let alone a thousand for a single ship.

Meh, I'll find the moderately skilled and willing then. I need to pad out the numbers on my ship. Mechanics, hunters, militia, computer hobbyists, etc. Like I said, I'm sweetening the deal with offers to take their family to Bajor if they sign up with me. That might get a thousand... albeit not the best and brightest. But I'm not exactly expecting the best and the brightest, I'm expecting men and women I can fill in parts of my very empty ship with that know at least the basics and can be taught the rest.

Alrightie. Here is the breakdown on the S'harien. If memory serves, my total carrying capacity is about 1300-1400 souls from the colony. Assuming the larger number 1400, I pledged 75% of the capacity to civilians drawn in a random order. That means 350 slots available to Cretak to do as he sees fit. Of these 350, 100 or so would be the entire Romulan population in the colony. If they want to go, they get to go no questions asked. The remaining 250 people would be open to people with skills (whatever those may be) and the dependents of the 100 romulans with a caveat. In most cases, if a Romulan wants to bring his dependents on the S'harien that Romulan has to pledge to become part of the crew of the S'harien.

...Heh.

I could probably fit 15 more people, 25 if they're all very good friends. I imagine that despite the desperation of wanting to leave the planet ASAP, of the ships to be assigned, mine would be last on the list of ships to draw the short straw on.

Tev, your ship's captain is going to get a collection of ripped shirts after we get to Bajor. It's just appropriate at this point.

Really, I find that much more appealing on this Kirk. Not sure why... *ducks a no-doubt-impending slap*

There is no appostraphe in Riskadh. The construction "dh" is sort of like "th" in English.
