Before anyone answers, I just want to say that the dice program that I've been using to help me determine the effects of your weapons appears to love Nitram, and hate me.

This is plainly the fault of Hotfoot.

Quite probably, though I will see about fixing the code to be even more in my favor through advanced heuristics after I post later tonight.

I think Cretak's going to need headache medicine once he gets back to his ship.

Before I post, I need to clarify one point with our illustrious GM so I don't appear to overstep my bounds, but prepare for the return of a fan-favorite character!

Captain's Name: T'Lorn Vlad'Stok
Captain's Species: Vulcan Male
Captain's Background: Captain Vlad'Stok was born on Vulcan in earth year 2345, and went through training in the Vulcan Science Academy where he studied high energy physics (graduating class of 2365), and later the Starfleet Academy (graduating class of 2370). He was later posted to the Olympic Class Science Vessel(2370-2373), USS Maxwell, where he served as an engineer. He went through the ranks quickly, with a creative mind and a flair for creating solutions where none seemed possible. Eventually he was assigned as captain of his own ship. The USS Humboldt (2373-present).

Ship Name: USS Humboldt
Ship Class: Heavily Modified Nova Class Science Vessel
Technical Classification:Angry Little Science Vessel (Heavy Frigate)
Crew composition: Vulcan Compliment 78, 1 human, 1 Betazoid

First officer: Commander Alan Forsythe (Human Male)
Commander Forsythe has been with the Humboldt since 2384, having not exactly had the opportunity to rise through the ranks and get his own ship once the war started. He is an extremely capable first officer, which by necessity means Executive officer. He keeps the crew disciplined, and on the ball—often serving as the deontological conscience for the starkly utilitarian Vlad'Stok.

Chief Engineer: Lt. Commander T'Ran Vagel(Vulcan Female)
While many of the other vulcan crewmen are suffering from a deep unfathomable sadness that they dare not allow to upset their judgement, Lt. Commander Vagel channels her sadness and rage into creative genius, and is largely responsible for the “Updated Technical Specificationsâ€

The ship has a lot of guns for something so comparatively small. It's smaller than the original Constitution class and has almost as many beams as a Vor'cha.

As for the shield array, if it means that ship takes less bleed through and are tougher than standard as well as a limited amount of shield vampirism to recharge, that's cool.

Yeah, it does have a lot of guns. No torps though. I did design it as an energy weapon boat though...

If you were to find all possible views of the ship's official models and count the phaser arrays, there are in fact 11. A lot of them however would-with a different hull configuration--be in one strip. For example, the single large strip on the saucer section of a galaxy is split into two strips on the Nova due to limitations in the hull configuration. Some of the others are on relatively small sections of the hull, and realistically have limited firing arcs that I will map later.

Well I've gone over the character and ship provided, and following consultation with others, I see no objections here. Character approved for play.

No objections. Counting emitters is always tricky (the giant rings on the Galaxy aren't exactly the same ball of wax as a small phaser strip). He does, after all, have to power all those weapons with a ship one-twenthieth the mass of a Vor'cha. His shield tricks will help (and really, who better than a Feddie to pull shield tricks?) and he should be solid fast attack.

Weapons are cold and there is no targeting of anybody by any Klingons.

That is good to know. I will point out that I did not make any comments indicating the weapon state of the Riskadh. I did state that targeting took place because I thought that in order for the tractor beam to gain a solution on its target (the borg tech) some sort of active sensor would have to be utilized. If that is an inaccurate assessment, I do apologize for the liberty.

Well played, sir. Well played.

Also, in Kirk's case, "diplomacy" also has the definitions of "savage beating" and "help the alien woman find her G-spot," depending on the situation at hand.

A side note, a Captain is Captain... When on the ship. When off the ship the Captain is referred to by his or her rank. I'll pick on Tev here for an example.

When on the Spector , Eoife Kirk is Captain Kirk, commander and mistress under God alone. Off the ship she's Lt. Commander Kirk, a mid level officer holding a high post. (Don't worry Tev, I intend to fix a bit of that.)

I assume the Federation follows that tradition, as much as anything else. The Rihannsu and the Komerex may have different traditions. Pirates has a general rule are lax as to matter of rank beyond a general pecking order.

I've actually been violating that aboard Argonaut, as I had the crew referring to Kalpov as "Commander", but Starfleet has always consciously followed the naval traditions of Earth, and so likely would work in that manner.

I believe "Commodore" was used to refer to other Captains aboard the Enterprise.

COMRADE TORTOISE: Everyone who beamed over was named. Morizan was not among them. Morizan is on the Riskadh. In a secure room. Watching a feed because the captain was bugged earlier. You cannot overhear him.
