Description:
Since her earliest days as a Navigator, the Lady Berenice has always welcomed the warm light of the Astronomician, and the comforting presence behind it. She repaid the Master of Mankind with unshakable faith in the Imperial Creed. When it was her time to venture out into the stars, she naturally petitioned to serve upon the vessel of the Imperial Navy, smiting the enemies of the Imperium in His name. Her family, however, decided differently and sold her to a powerful Rogue Trader, operating in the Kronous Expanse. After spending nearly a decade as a virtual prisoner on his ship, she escaped. On the run, knowing she could not return to her family, she joined the crew of Rogue Trader Ravion Karakan.

Appearance:
Berenice is tall and thin, although not unnaturally so. Her limbs are slender and long, and her joints can bend in any direction. She has learnt to limit herself to the range of human movements, but still, to an outside observer, there is something strange and unnerving about the way she moves, although the reason is not immideately apparent. With her warp eye covered up, she looks like a pale but attractive woman in her 30s. She generally likes to pass for a human and avoids the trappings of her position when possible. Her favorite piece of clothing is a Navy officer's coat with the rank insignia removed, which she wears on ship and whenever she does not need to make an impression.

Description:
No matter what he's wearing beneath, Magnus always wears his grey hooded cloak over it, with the hood up. With the hood down, he is revealed to be a man of slightly above average height and very average in appearance - one's eyes naturally slide right off him and onto someone or something more interesting. Upon closer inspection however, a slight glare from his eyes and a slight scowl upon his face betray the purposed being within the flesh.

History:
Born aboard a ship in transit within the Warp, as a baby Magnus did not utter a single cry after he was born - until the ship emerged back into realspace. This caused great concern and worry from his parents, and when the day came for him to be taken away as a potential witch, his parents had no objection.

Raised since then with other Astropaths as family, devotion to the Emperor as his solace, and his mind as his primary tool and weapon, Magnus Aurochus has already shown himself to be a strong-willed psyker, waging his battles in his enemies' minds when he can, and with a well-aimed blast of his auto-pistol when he can't.

History: Volran is an orphan from the Imperial Planet Carthage Maximus. While sparely populated (2 billion souls) the planet takes a deep pride in it's contribution to the Imperial Guard and to the Ecclesiarchy. Volran is part of that contribution, his parents were Imperial Guard members who fell in battle. He knows little about them. Raised among the orphans being taught to be part of the Emperor's Service, Volran did well at theological studies and drilled himself in close quarters work as a way of honoring his heritage. His duty lead to him being posted with the Rogue Trader Fleet, as his superiors felt he would be trustworthy and keep an eye for heresy or worse.

It was during the opening days of his assignment that he and a detachment of the Fleet's soldiers and techs were trapped on a large but seemingly abandoned space station above a massive gas giant. Their shuttle was destroyed and the warpship had left them while investigating other finds. Standard they were forced to engage in a running battle for 2 months against the xenos who had infested the station. Volran learned much in the ways of battle there, although his marksmenship was bad enough to become a thing of comedic legend. Still rescue did come and Volran has rejoined the fleet. Made wary but tougher by his experience.
