Apparently we're not seeing the end of the arc on the number of the beast, nor a splash page. We are on the "wrapping things up" stage though.

Comments:
- O'Chul really is amazingly level headed. And threatening at the same time.
- So Roy doesn't remember everything, but he remembers enough of the things that really matter.
- I can't wait to see that new sword move of his.
- Nice interaction between Roy and Haley there.
- Holy cow, a time frame of seven weeks? I don't buy it. Somehow. Though that may be wishful thinking, with the end of the series being within sight. :/ Maybe seven weeks comic time will be a long time real time, who knows.

Seven weeks minimum before Belkar dies, since that's apparently the end of the year. Doesn't mean they stop Xykon before Belkar dies.

I realize that he may die before they beat Xykon, but since he's a pretty significant character, I doubt that he'll make his final exit before the grand finale. Not certain, just a hunch.

And so we have confirmation that Tiamat is indeed going to be taking an interest in the Order. There were people on the Giant's forum who were doubting that there would be repercussions to the Familicide spell (as if Tiamat were going to simply ignore the fact that the souls of 25% of an entire branch of dragons suddenly popped into the afterlife).
I liked the character growth on V's part. New hairstyle to go with it.
EDIT: Apparently, the fiendish telephone system can transmit breath weapons. :)

And so we have confirmation that I spoke too soon.
Still, we never know whether she'll be back... probably not though. I guess my position was mainly due to the fact that I somehow find it a bit off that she'd let that slide, trust the fiends who caused it to happen and not interfere personally.
Other than that, nice strip. Especially Quarr's assessment of the Linear Guild.
EDIT: fixed the link, as it was pointing to the wrong strip.

And O'Chul did it one spell-save at a time, as he saw them used first-hand. That paladin is distilled Badass.

Dang, you beat me to it.Rogue 9 wrote:Oooooooooo, burn!
The burn is earned, though she gets more flak from the forumites over in the playground than I think she deserves. ;)
Anyhow, I loved the large panel with all the goodbyes. Nice reactions from everyone.

That's interesting... there had been ideas that the divine lore of the SG and CM were not entirely accurate, but this is pretty crazy.
Could it be that the Snarl has "come of age" and is no longer a force of uncreation? Or is it that the gods lied to their followers and there is another layer to the Snarl's prison? :/
And confirmation that Crystal was indeed a bad person. But we knew that already.

And what a cliff hanger to leave us on. I eagerly anticipate the return on the 31st.
