She nodded. "I see. I don't need help at the moment, but I'll keep you in mind."

"Indeed. I see that you are well taken care of. And to be remembered..well, that takes us back to business." He pulls the cigarette from his mouth, probably burned down too close for comfort.

"And the night is young." He bows once again. "There is much more ground to cover. Good evenin', miss Karen." A quick turn and he glides through the crowd.

The sky is lightening and the weight of day begins to descend on most vampires so they will have to retreat to their havens.

Holden investigates the streets around Karen's club, sticking to the main roadways for the most part, watching the cars drive by, the people crowding the streets with their.. their everythings. The man slides his hand into a pocket and sniffs the air. "Hm. Yeah, made a good choice, I think. Setup can wait a night or so." He has to at least figure out which way is up and where the trenches lie. He hails a cab back to the hotel, takes another shower to wash off the smoke, and practically barricades himself in the room with another dollar on the bellboy as well as a few chairs and whatever else is left.

Leo watches the vampire to see what he is up to, but the sun is also coming soon... this could be unpleasant. His hand was on his sword, just in ncase he needed to kill this one.

The vampire took a long drag on his cigarette and then moved on.

Wright knew next to nothing about Sabbat organization. He just shrugged agreement. "Anyway, let's get going. Night's burning fast."

Marcus nodded and looked around. "Damn, night goes fast when you're having fun." Marcus followed the Brujah to his car, keeping his eyes and ears open.

He grinned. "Hey, what's the point of life if you're not enjoying it? These pussies whine and whine, but you don't see that from me, tell ya. See ya tomorrow, huh?"

He gestured grandly to the car.

Marcus got into his stolen car and drove away back to his own haven. When he got there he quickly went to work on writing something that he hoped would sound like it came from the Sabbat. Then he locked up everything and went to bed. He'd have to search for his errant ghoul sometime, and kill him.

Wright clamped down his secured sleeping space, spinning the wheel to latch the door shut, and took to bed.

He hated shutting down when he was riding a high, but, well, that was the downside to living forever.

Marcus awoke with a start once again. Despite being nightly, he was still not used to it, and the visions had yet to gain any clarity. Of course, he was unsure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Getting dressed, Marcus finished his counterfeit letters and checked them over, no traces it came from this home could be left. The typewriter was destroyed, all possible copies were burned, very very carefully. Sticking the copies into a pocket inside his suit Marcus headed out to his car, his usual armament of two pistols a sword and the machete in the back of the car.

Marcus headed out, not to Wright's though, he had other business to attend to for now. He began the search for his errant ghoul, the trail would be cold, but his car would be noticeable by the bullet holes in it. And there were many parties to go to where he might have been seen. Perhaps if there were any in the city he could get the uglies in the sewers in on this.

Wright lunged out of bed and grabbed his clothes. Big night ahead, after all. He got himself dressed, then bolted up the stairs to make his arrival at the never-ending party.

He made his passes through the party, speaking to the worthy, checking with his retainers, making sure that all was well.

On his way to his office, he realized a critical flaw in his organization... he had no way to get in touch with Jason, and he really needed him to solve the Johnny problem ASAP.

"Shit," he muttered.

#1193 Another Night, Brother can you spare a dime?

Post by Bratty »

Cassie wakes with the bell on her alarm, and stretches out of bed. She notices her bedroom has not been tampered with, and that causes her to smile in momentary confidence. Perhaps tonight will be better, she thinks optomistically. Especially since she has a game plan in action.

Some stockings and mascara later, she is ready for the show. She comes out promptly on time, making use of the distance between stage and her bedroom to do her best to make the eyes, and talk to those along the way.

Once she makes her way to the stage, she grabs the microphone, and the stage is her own once more. Tonight, she is singing for her supper.

~singing

It's three o'clock in the morning,
We've danced the whole night thru,
And daylight soon will be dawning,
Just one more waltz with you.
That melody so entrancing,
Seems to be made for us two,
I could just keep right on dancing
Forever, dear, with you.

Holden arises with grace, languishing in the sounds of this 'new' city. He arranges his room as he sees fit, bathes once more, and slides into his suit. He decides to stray into downtown Chicago once again, but this time to check out elsewheres.

He places a few inquiries as to who throws a good party. Some of the names of these clubs... why not just choose something vulgar and be done with it? He backs it up with his outstanding Presence, sending those warm happy feelings that mortals enjoy so much and fall victim to.

A tip to the cabbie and a nod of the head. He'll have to re-arrange his finances soon; it's getting to be costly with the heavy traveling done every night. He happens upon his destination and makes a heavy handed suggestion to the doorman that he be allowed entrance...and follows that suggestion with the rationalization that he is a VIP for the evening.

...It's three o'clock in the morning,
We've danced the whole night thru...

Holden takes in the lady at the stage, silently licking a concealed fang.. and moves to the bar, investigating, smelling the air...

Somehow, somewhere, she is lost to the music. Gone are the worries of the mortal mind in the immortal world. Her eyes have closed, and the melody seems to come from within. When she stops singing, she opens her eyes, and sees that everyone is staring at her. Many of them are standing still and just looking at her, unable to move or even breath. It is rather eerie. A fast upbeat tune is needed. She begins to sing and dance

~singing

Charleston, Charleston
Made in Carolina
Some dance
Some prance
Ill Say, there nothing finer than
Charleston, Charleston,
Lord how you can shuffle...

He chuckled to himself. Interesting effect people have on each other; too bad it takes death or..sometimes worse... to make that realization. He took a cigarette from his tin, placing it to those pale lips unlit. That sort of thing just begs the mortals to notice.. the out of place that, in a spot like this, is cheerfully brought into the norm - while splaying the guts of nightlife here across the stage.

Greens settled upon the woman on stage. Cute, for sure. An attention getter, for sure. He rubbed his chin as she sang and danced and lived.

She is helped down into the crowd and starts the dancing in the crowd. The piano player is having fun, despite his rather second rate playing. He bounces with the music with a rather large smile on his face.

Cassie is singing in the crowd, but one can hear everyone else singing along and dancing. The place is hopping. She dances with one man, and is twirled to dance with another. Faster...faster!

Marcus stopped his car near one of the bigger spots near Wright's. Once he got in he went to the management and asked if they'd seen a man of Eric's description a few nights ago, driving a really beaten up car, looked like it got into a gun fight.

A few things cross his mind. Not one to let the world in on his 'little secrets,' he moves forward in the crowd until he would have to bear claws to get any closer. And he stands and watches, undead heart cold in a room of life and warmth.

She has talent, sure. Enough to get the people hopping in a crowd. Strangers..

A sly grin slides across his lips. He lets her dance and dance and places cold hands on those in front of him to muscle his way towards the girl.

Money. That is all she is thinking about now. The music left her as she feels greedy, sweaty hands grabbing. Unforgiving. Perhaps she can make it a game. Let's see how long it takes before she has to give in. How far can she go without being damned for all eternity for lustful actions? How much money can she make and remain untainted?

One foot in front of the other, a look over her shoulder to a guy behind her, a wink and blows a kiss.
