Burning a point of Temp-Rage to get an action with which to (hopefully) dodge:
Rolling Dex (3) + Dodge (1) + Crinos Dex (1)

FYI, it can't do that. It plays by the same turn order rules we do.

What can't do which?
Since I got two successes, and needed four, I think I shall now roll to soak against the damage I am about to take....
Soak roll: Stamina (2) + Crinos Stamina (3)
Looks like two soaks.

And, to try to soak the damage that got through:

Good point, Cyncat. I'd forgotten the Rage actions are at the end of the turn.Cynical Cat wrote:FYI, it can't do that. It plays by the same turn order rules we do.
Although, technically this is the End o Turn, so you can make your attacks now as well.

Bane, meet Grand Klaive.
To hit roll
Just a reminder, the Bane is down one die to attack me in melee because of my reach advantage, until it manifests something equally long and spikey.

This is going to be fun when the other boars join the party.

Dodging is an action. Sophie needs an action to burn in order to dodge.LadyTevar wrote:You don't need to spend the Rage, hon.. you get the Dodge automaticallyGeneral Havoc wrote:Burning a point of Temp-Rage to get an action with which to (hopefully) dodge:

One healed itself. The one charging Sophie is barely scratched, the third is hamstrung.rhoenix wrote:So...are they healed at this point, or just cranky?
Alex is unhurt, soaked it all
Sophie is in trouble. You soaked the damage, but you and the boar just collided and both got knocked off your feet.
Sees Faces soaked 3 of the 5... take 2 Health Levels. They'll heal on their own in 2 rounds... if you don't take more Until then, you are -1 to all your dice rolls due to injury

Earlier dodge roll took care of the other two, thankfully. Now, I'll just worry about next time...LadyTevar wrote:Sees Faces soaked 3 of the 5... take 2 Health Levels. They'll heal on their own in 2 rounds... if you don't take more Until then, you are -1 to all your dice rolls due to injury
EDIT: since Sees-Faces took one action to attack and another to dodge, I'll burn a Rage for that if needs be.

Dodge is all or Nothing, rheonix. There's no carryover. If you don't dodge, you take damage.
And Cyncat's again trying to keep me truthfull. I was giving everyone a free dodge, to make it easier. You do have to spend an action to Dodge, per rules. I was HouseRuling it so the first Dodge was free. Dodging a second attack will need Rage
Are there any questions/problems with this system?

Ah, gotcha - thank you for clarifying.LadyTevar wrote:Dodge is all or Nothing, rheonix. There's no carryover. If you don't dodge, you take damage.
The main thing I'd ask about is: do you mean the first dodge attempt per round is free, or the first one per combat?LadyTevar wrote:And Cyncat's again trying to keep me truthfull. One free dodge a turn. Of course, you can easily get multiple actions a turn, so you may be needing to make a lot of them. The rest you have to pay for.

As Cyncat said.
Now, CC, are you going to roll damage on the hit, since the Boar can't Dodge? It looks like you have 3 Successes... one to hit, two extra damage. (Yes, that's my HouseRule for it. First success is the 'hit' the others add to damage, just to make it clear.)
If you want, you can roll the next hit and damage as well, then I'll roll the Boar's Soak. Luckily, he can only pull the "Back from Dead" once.

For the record, I vote for both house rules (one free dodge a round, all successes after the first to attack add to damage).
However, the latter has the potential to nastily rebound, so perhaps further consideration on that one.
On the other hand, this is a Werewolf game - so yeah, that works.

That's not a house rule, that's a standard rule. Only the free dodge is a house rule and it's not a bad one at that.LadyTevar wrote:As Cyncat said.

And he still only got... 5 Successes.
