#1 Spaces in Dizingof (56K warning)

Post by The Grim Squeaker »

Well, I finally started a photography course, so this will be the first of a number of photography threads using stuff from each "excursion" :D.
This is from a very well known mall in Israel called "Dizingof Center", it's an old place that's known it's ups and downs, and there are a number of food, and design/clothing markets that take place there in addition to the regular shops.
The photos are around the theme/idea of "space", people in/out of space".

PLEASE comment on your favourites, and technical critique I need to whittle this lot down to 7, and best I've managed is 16 or so :P.

Side note: This was the first time I used my tripod, we got it in Wallmart in the states about a year ago. It broke into 3 separate pieces within 2 minutes. Bloody "made in America" hunk of crap :P.

Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much: the wheel, New York, wars while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in water having a good time.
But the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons

If you got it in Wallmart

1) It serves you right.

2) It was probably made in China.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

1) I was skinflint, and it's the first time i tried to use a tripod, i prefer to work/travel "light".
2) It said "Made in the U.S" on the box :P.

Thanks Tev!

Quite a few places in the U.S. now use that trick. All the components are manufactured in China/Country-of-the-day and are assembled in the states.

Indeed, but if it had been made in China then the Steel would probably have broken, not every other part of the tripod :P.

Conclusion: Hire the worker, import him, and freeze him with carbon so you'll have your own tripod :P.

hey squeaker....first off let me say, Congrats on the class....I'm proud of you! (This coming from a Teacher-At-Heart)

Now, here are the ones I like best and think will work best for the assignment. 0315, 0266, the mirror shot, the clothing shot, and the second window/reflection shot. I'm "if-y" on 0290 but there's something about it I like...

Anyway, I hope that works. Really they are all good pics, but I tried to choose the shots I thought best fit the assignment of "space" people in/out of space. Good Luck!
There is a really good chance that I am seriously fucked up. But don't worry....I like me that way.

Thanks a lot, but the deadline for sending was last night, so it's already emailed. I used about 3-4 of those though, thanks :D.
