A song about the 1958 Springhill Mine Disaster. A bump (underground earthquake) collapsed much of the mine and trapped 174 men underground. Of these 99 were rescued, while the remaining 75 died. Only two years earlier a coal dust explosion triggered by a runaway train hitting a power conduit trapped 122 miners, of whom 34 died and 88 were rescued. The devastation wrought by the two disasters on the men and facilities of the mine forced it to close for good.

Marina showed me a compilation video of Assadist IFVs being destroyed. Normally that would be unremarkable, there's hundreds of such videos. However this one is set to the sound of 80s techno, and that makes it one of the most glorious things i've ever seen.
