... Welp, so much for the end of the Korrsami fight. Hope the comics are better then the Airbender ones were.

Michael D. DiMartino is writing them, so there are good odds it'll fit the vision of the creators.

Having actually read the first book, the truth of this line now feels a bit mixed. It's almost like the actual creators can't help themselves and keep regressing Korra back to her Book 1 self. :???:

And the info-dump (sorry, but that's what it was) about the state of homosexual acceptance in the world was... quite hamfisted.

Oh? Is Korra back to solving everything with her fists? They really can't a handle on her can they?

She's a bit back and forth. One of the good scenes is when she rallies the refugees from Republic City. That shows the Korra we know and love, fully developed. OTOH, going Avatar State to intimidate the developer who wants to create what is essentially an amusement park around the Spirit World portal? That's a return to the Korra who threatened the annoying Equalist with the bullhorn in the very first episode. And the bit where she loses her temper when her father tries to warn her and Asami that being too open about their relationship will see a backlash was reminiscent of early Book 2 Korra.

Also, some of the spirits are still dicks, but the story has shown at least an opening to the possibility that their dickishness won't be swept under the rug like in the show.
