The Datanet

The Datanet is a major facet in Logosian life, and a simple entry cannot adequately describe how intrinsic it is. The datanet itself is a massive telecommunications network that spans numerous star systems and connects virtually every Logosian citizen to one another. On a stellar level, this means that no citizen is ever out of contact with one another, live video, audio, or simple text feeds can be connected at any time, and many races have likened a Logosian conversation to a type of technological telepathy*. In fact, many non-Logosians feel ill at ease around Logosians in conversation. This is due to the way Logosians are connected to the Datanet.

Most data networks are accessed by computers, which many beings operate manually. The most common connection to the Datanet in Logosian culture is a near-direct Neural connection, a brain-computer interface that is implanted at adolescence. Logosians liken it to “A keyboard for the brainâ€
