#1 Jury Duty Time

Here I am at the Orange County Courthouse serving a day of jury duty. This place is a lot better than what Seminole County had back in 2001 when I did service. Cybercafe, more vending machines, a guy selling breakfast goodies, wi-fi, TV... better than sitting out on a bench all day because the "Jury Assembly Area" was nothing more than a portable at the side of the Courthouse!

I'll probably spend most of the day reading though. Last time I did jury service I had only had two books and one of them was crap (the novelization of the PC game Tom Clancy's SSN). Now I've got three Discworld novels on me (have already started Thief of Time).

Final note: seems whatever blocking system they use for inappropriate stuff forbids me from logging into SDN. But not LibArc. Interesting.

That's because they're godless cursing heathens over on SDN. We're far more respectable over here.

That's because LibArc is obviously better. Obviously.

Forgot to edit that when I went to SDN again, I was logged in and it worked. So apparently their blocking software only blocks SDN's post-login redirect page or something.

Well, I'm done. At about 2:20 they told everyone still in the jury assembly room to head home, our service was done.
Compared to last time, I didn't mind this jury service at all.
