This is the first installation of what may come to be....a fairly large group of "who woulda's".

I live in a split triple with 2 theatre majors. They're both very sweet, most the time, and quite talkative at times. Honestly though i do not know them very well.

Anyway this morning when i got up to go take a shower, my plans were deflated by a sign on the bathroom door saying there was a watermain break, and that we needed to refrain from depleting the water source....which i interpreted as "Girls, use the bathroom if you must, but do not run-run0run water". So i decided to hold off until later.

But whe n i got back i found Theatre1 brushing her wet hair, and she asked me what a watermain break was!*swats forehead and falls over* We're in college and she didn't know what that meant!!!!!

AND she proceeded to tell me that most the girls in the hall have been ignoring the sign... Heavens to betsy...*shakes head* what're they gonna do when they can't flush!*chuckles*

Is this a normal phenomena? or is it just...here? I mean, them not knowing what it is n such.... i mean the sign says they have to redirect the bus routing and everything!!! Don't you think that they'd realize that meant it's important?

*points at laughs at theater majors*

There are a lot of reasons why I go to this school o' mine, though I hate it greatly. One of these is that anyone that stupid will fail out within a semester or two so I'll never have to put up with them again (in college, anyway).

I'm taking freshmen bio right now (as a fourth year) and damn, some of those kids are STUPID. I'd forgotten, since the freshmen I'd been in contact with since my first year were all in band and that makes them weird.

Heh. Water main break, eh? Try livin' where you have to crank up the generator every day or so to pump water from the backyard well-- not one of those dinky little boreholes, but a proper honest-to-goodness dug-by-hand well with a little wall and cover around it and all-- and when the generator's broken, you have to use a bucket and rope to haul up water to put in buckets so you can fill the tank to flush two-three times every day. Imagine havin' to haul buckets up the stairs so you can do the same...

I loved Nigeria, but I sure as fuck wouldn't go back...

*pats Heru* Hun... i hate to tell ya this... but i understand about well water all to well you have no idea how many times we had to troop over to a family members house to get cleaned up.... ANDDDDDDDDDDDD NEVER ever ever propse the idea that having a small blow up pool in the backyard is a good idea*shudders at the thought of how many germs and diseses brothers "played" in* I mean granted it's not as bad as having to haul it up yourself, but it's almost as depressing.
