#1 A Question of Great Importance

Ok, it recently came to my attention that some heathens do not have chocolate with their root beer floats. This is not the first time I have heard this madness, and so I am making a thread to ask the question of what you have with your Root Beer. The holy duality of Chocolate and Root Beer or the Illogical and Heathanistic ways of the Vanilla and Root Beer.

Silence Heretic! Everyone knows that the only righteous flavor to put in one's rootbeer(or W00tbeer(tm) in my case) is vanilla. Anything else is blasphemous!

All of you are heathens except for B4, who is correct in his statements.

Vanilla is the Purest of the Pure, and the only True IceCream for a RootBeer Float.
So Sayeth A&W.

I don't have any religious feelings toward root beer floats, but every one I've ever had was with vanilla ice cream. Though I was tempted to pick something else and say cookie dough ice cream "because I like my floats chunky" but I've never actually had one like that.

Take one or two scoops of icecream, place in large pre-chilled mug/stein. Pour in rootbeer. Vanilla icecream gives a nice smooth creaminess to the rootbeer, and the rootbeer's carbonation makes a large tasty head on the float.
And Charon thinks its better with choclate icecream... the heretic

I'm not surprised. Approximately three people outside the US like root beer.

M'lady, that sounds...unusual. Never having tasted root beer I'm not really qualified to comment
Not that that has ever stopped you
but it sounds like a rather...strange combination.

Not at all it's yummy.
You need to find some rootbeer. Perferrably A&W or Barq's
A good substitute is Coke or Pepsi not exactly the same but still good

Let me get this straight-you want me to take some perfectly delicious scoops of ice cream and drown them in-Coke, or, Valen forbid, Pepsi(shudders).
If you don't like ice cream why not just don't eat any? What has the stuff done to you to deserve such a fate?

Batman. I am sorry to say that for your crimes against humanity, I have to have you put up against the wall and shot. It is for the benefit of humanity that your non-root beer float ways do not spread to the rest of the population. Die knowing that your death shall be of a great help to humanity.

I'm sorry to tell you but your root beer float ways probably never have spread to the the rest of humanity outside the US in the first place. See Scottish Ninja's comment above.
Incidentally, can I have my cape back? Alfred'll need to patch the bullet holes.

Root beer hath never spread to the British Isles either, to my knowledge.
But mixing Ice Cream and Soft Drinks?! What are you people thinking?!

Just do it... try it and if you don't like it then I'll leave you alone. I'm telling you (you no Pepsi drinking werido) Put a couple scoopes of vanilla ice cream in your coke and drink a bit of it, just once and I'll be happy.

@Rukia:
I would be very much surprised if I'd like that. I hate Vanilla Coke with a passion.
But hey, if it makes you happy...
