Ok, for starters - If you read thevent thread, you know my cellphone is gone the way of roadkill. This means Iwill have tobuy a new one when I finally get home this week.

I'm pondering getting the Motorola SLVR. uses a miniSD card for convient flash storage ofpictures, movies and music files, has a camera (that I will hardly ever use anyway), is thin and lightweight and suppossedly durable.

I'm not getting a RAZR, decided against another flip phone, especially when the SLVR does the Itunes thing and has a buttload of externalmemory while the RAZR is limited to it's internal.

So....what does everyone else suggest?

Buy a phone that does phone stuff well. Buy a digital camera to take pictures and an mp3 player to do the music. They seem to forget about the whole "phone" thing when they start to cram all the extra shit onto it.

I'm mostly wanting the SLVR because of it's massive internal memory

I don't use camera phones, except in dire emergencies, and I want to use the memory to keep a collection of homemade ringtones....

A PDA with cellular capability (XDA). Frankly, I hate cellphones with grafted digital camera or such. If I want to take pictures, I will buy a dedicated digital camera instead. Phone cameras are shitty anyway, and design compromise is something I hate (same reason I hate onboard video cards).

An XDA, on the other hand, will give you everything you need from a PDA while also gives you cellular connectivity. To me, the synergy outweights the "integration" (and the compromise), so I strongly suggest one.

Indeed quality of some of them is shit, but camera phones are so handy. Imagine this, you pick up a hot chick, hotter than any woman you ever hooked up with before, so hot your friends will never believe you. while you are grabing a comdom out of your wallet place your phone in easy reach and get pictures mid fuck. No one can dispute that and I think it'd be a little weird to carry a digi cam arround everywhere.
