#1 New Years Resolvements

In the past, I have always taken New Years Resolutions somewhat seriously. For me, it is a symbolic time for a new start/fresh slate, and some goals are good guidelines to go by. I usually walk away with completing approximately 50%-75% of my New Years Resolutions.
With some recent health concerns, I have decided this will not do. Life is too short not to have a sense of completion in goals which mean something to you. In this, I have changed my resolutions to resolvements.
Here are my 2006 Resolvements:
-become a storyteller for more than just ideas (ie learn the rules and be able to run the scenes)(** for those who do not know, I am a VST for LARP here in Austin, VST Requiem Storylines, which means I come up with the ideas, but do not run any of the scenes.)
-visit my family and friends out of state as much as I possibly can afford to
-put our financial state in order
-perform in bellydancing troupe, not just go to a class or two
-go back to school and get nothing lower than a B
-get my kids' teeth fixed
-find a work situation that doesn't make my skin crawl to be there and isn't an hour to and from every day, if not stay home to go to school and be with my kids.
-become more social with my friends HERE in Austin
My kids have learned about resolutions this year. Here are there New Years Resolutions:
Madison: "Go to the park and go swimming."
Brennan: "Spend time with the family."
Calen: "Save money."
What are your New Years Resolutions or Resolvements for the year 2006?
Feel free to expand, if you feel comfortable, about why they are important to you.

To spend even less time sober than I did when I was seventeen.
Seriously though...
To take care of shit better, in general.
To make the new company fucking work and actually turn a profit, and take care of the people who followed along for the last venture.
To procrastinate less and get behind less on stuff besides whatever I'm hyperfocusing on at the moment.
To rock the fuck on even more than I already do, baby.
Hey sis, good to see ya.

Mine? Get in the Military ASAP, and kick some ass. Preferably my brother's once I get enough training.

I try not to make resolutions, since I almost always break them, but I'm going to just declare a few New Year's Resolutions on things I was planning on doing anyway.
1) Write more. That goes for not just stories but all forms of media, including (especially including) writing emails to my aunt. She chewed me out at Thanksgiving for not writing to her much.
2) Figure out the secret behind getting people good gifts. I am terrible at getting people presents because I won't allow myself to get people stupid crap (I spent forty hours sewing you this wallet you'll never use!), but I also don't want to get them something that they already have (I got you the Serenity DV...*sees the DVD on the person's shelf already).
3) Jump for more scholarship opportunities. I'm going to be in school for a good while more due to me being stupid and not changing majors earlier. More money is always welcome, especially since my brother is in college now.
And that's it. I think those are plenty reasonable.

1) Lose some weight. This won't be to hard. I think I lost about 5lbs in the last few weeks just doing some basic exercises and getting off my lazy ass for once.
2) See more of my family. I saw my parents and brother once last year for about 3 days. I haven't seen my grandparents in over a year.
3) Finish writing my book. I always say I'm going to do it but never set aside any time just for it. I'm horrible.

Lessee...
-Take better care of myself...(exersize more, eat less junk food, maybe quit smoking not that I do it all the time...)
-Get off my lazy ass when it comes to school, and try harder. Along with this goes not back talking my teachers no matter how wrong or onesided they are.
-Try to get into college. (I want to be a Criminal Psycologist)
-Save my money for once.
-Not take things so seriously. (i.e stop worrying so much)
-Go to Australia (and other places)
-Let myself love someone without fear of heartbreak or rejection.

Resoultions are for weiners. Arbitralirly saying you are suddenly going to do something almost never works, so I will simply continue pwning n00bs and oppressing spam, like I always do.
Thoueh one thing I think I will say is I intend to finish M3 (the third incarnation in my amazing RPG creation toolkit) before the end of this year.

But Walper, you are going into the canadian Military... kick...ass...how?
1) Bump up my GPA. If I want to get into a good grad school, my GPAs need to be in at least the 3.5 range.
2) I know this is cliche, but as it stands, losing a good 25 lbs or so would probably be good for me.
3) Get myself laid because as apathetic as I have become regarding my non-existant sex life, I do not particularly want to become like Mr. Saunders*
** My awesome former economics teacher who we were pretty sure was a virgin into his mid 40's or at least had the mother of all dry spells

Yeah, and one of these days they will sharpen their ice-skates and come across the great lakes to steal our cheese.

I guess the original word being used is 'molesting'?

1) Inspire fear within the users, so that they shall be kept in line.
2) get around to eliminating Walper. His constant plotting is worse than Starscream. Unlike Megatron, I do not intend to keep him around long enough to throw my severly damaged chassis out of Astrotrain on the way back to Cybertron.

New Year Resolution: Be the one that Silver picks to shove the knife into Walper's back, or front, or side, or whereever.

I've already claimed the right to this. You can assist however. Or jerk off while watching me torture him. Whichever you prefer.

You know, initially, I was dishearted to think I had so many vicious enemies intent on my demise....
Then is struck me. Adminstrators, fellow Super Moderators...
I must be a terribly powerful foe indeed for so many feeling the need to amass against me! *shakes fist menacingly* Bring it on, people! I shall crush you all under my montrous heel!!

Just one...
1) Live and let go.
That's about it...
if I can cover that, everything else will happen naturally.

I suppose I want to become alive, or at least learn what that means. I've spent 20 years
looking like a biological organism, I intend to play the part too.
*smacks complaining servo regulator mechanism, it whirrs softly and normal motive control circuit operation resumes*

To be honest, my biggest New Years Resolution is to get into shape. I know I need to and that I would be a lot happier if I were.
