Recently, while I was resting, one of my dreams turned into a parody of Freddy vs. Jason (KOL is a crazy place) and I picked up a Spooky Hockey Mask. Now, I checked out its price on Coldfront and found out it was worth right now more than 300k (a pitance for you Mr. Accesory and old members, but still a substantial sum.) Two Questions:

1. Should I sell it now? Apparently, its average price is 1 mill. plus, but I am a bit low on cash at the moment comparatively.

2. Why the heck is it worth so much?

My guess is that it's a random deal like you got it in. It isn't easy to find or get and therefore collectors will pay out the ass for it.

Average price is a compilation of all prices in the market and therefore isn't a fair yardstick, because a lot of people stash stuff in their stores that they don't intend to sell immediately (for example, all my Oyster Eggs are in my store, priced at nearly ten mil each.)

So go ahead and sell. I put one in and sold it in under six hours for 325k.

From what I can understand while in the trade channel. The price for the SHM dropped to 300K from 600K and before 900K, IIRC. So who knows, perhaps it'll drops further.

It's not a consumable item, so as the supply increases, the price will drop.

The reason it's valuable is because it's one of the six Ultra-Rare drops (Talisman of Baio, Hypnodisk, Crazy Bastard Sword, Incredibly Dense Meat Gem, and Beet are the other five). SHM and Beet are the least valuable because they turn up the most, since they're random sleep drops. The other four are incredibly rare (I'm only aware of one IDMG in existence, and no more than a dozen Hypnodisks).

When your goal is to ascend and always ascend, a SHM will always be better than the Lihc Face and I always found it was worth it. I have three of them myself.
