There is a clan channel in KoL but not many people use it I think.

I believe at the beginning or when I arrived here, the decision was that the chat wasn't a great tool to use but since then I have been thinking otherwise.

I've never actually used the clan chat. For new players and softcore runs, the Trade channel can be imminently useful for quick infusions of meat.

The trade channel is a great place to sell at a little lower price than the mall and you don't have to go through the flea market.
