A dead guy's watch will net you one extra adventure at rollover if you're wearing it. So once you finish all your adventures for the day, replace an accessory with it.

I don't believe you can open a sunket chest. However, it can be used to create a Spooky Pirate Skeleton (which becomes a familiar when you put it in your terrarium).
