Nitram hasn't been able to get online much, but he did read the new TF story, and -loves- it. He says you've got Overload nailed so far.

Nitram has a distinctive "mostly practical, straight ahead stuff but with a little flurish added on at the end" style that is relatively easy to copy.

I have to say Cyncat, this TF story of yours is rather well-done. Your writing style for this story (I haven't read your other works yet) reminds me of Nick Polatta's Bureau 13 books, actually - which is something I'd consider to be a compliment.

What kind of D&D veteran hasn't heard of stone to flesh or flesh to stone? Sixth level spells that have been around forever. Lady T, I need to see some documents proving you are who you say you are.

Cyncat, m'dear, you throw so many epic spells around in these stories, I truly don't expect a 'mere' 6th level spell.

Besides, all the flesh to stone spells I ever had thrown my way did plain ol' sandstone.

Stone to flesh is still a common sixth level spell. And clearly, you don't use your victims to decorate your entrance halls. Some Empress of Evil you are.

You were the one saying 'statues in the entryway'. Rock to mud is just cliche after a Flesh to stone spell.
At least, cliche with those I played with. Prevents healing, delays resurrection, and it's good for the garden. Just don't raise edibles in it.
