Yeah, there were a few bits. It was the 90s so the X-Files thing could be popular.

It's never the Doctor's fault when the TARDIS makes unexpected stops. Thankfully, Abby is very good at keeping secrets

And a new short is up.
As for using Caterina as the model for the TARDIS' holoself... While I'll admit it'd be great to get UF more readers, my inspiration was the idea that the SI Doctor's TARDIS selected an image that it felt most like itself. So it went with the geek girl "I wanna see everything" template over all others.
I think this gives the SI Doctor's TARDIS a bit of a unique identity compared to what I remember from "The Doctor's Wife". She's not an "old soul" like the Doctor's TARDIS.

A subtle hint, i take it, to "stop this Who story nonsense and go back to UF"?

Well, I've never been much of a Doctor Who fan. I know enough to follow along a conservation and even contribute, but frankly I don't find it very interesting (The T.V Show I mean). If anything I would say Doctor Who just plays around with it's concept instead of diving in but that's a personal opinion and not very revealant.
Add in some other bits/opinions and while the story isn't awful (That would be your Mech Warrior/Earth crossover, sorry man but I stand by that opinion) it doesn't hold my interest. Which is why I hadn't bothered digging in and writing up the old what I liked/what I didn't. I understand I'm the minority here but that's not gonna stop me from pointing at stories I think are more worth your time.
And if anyone complains that I'm being kind of an asshole here. What took you so long to notice? It's been bloody years.

Actually I didn't think it made you assholish at all, you're being fairly even-handed.

If you have chapters ready for the Space Nazis, post it. I'm not reading it, but you have more fans than just me :)
I like the idea of a "baby TARDIS", as well as the burning question of "what hapened with Lucsy"

Frig is mostly impatient to see them pop up again as the villains for the UF stories, which is a storyline that is a more classic space opera kind of story with a crew and a Cool Ship traveling the Multiverse. I introduced them in 1-03 and then they haven't been seen since.
To be honest, Tev... your side of the fandom is larger right now. "Power of a Name" gets more likes in a few hours for its story posts than the UF episodes get overall. Although I am finally seeing some people who read the former checking out the latter.
It's a bit of a strain, having to rebuild my brand over on SB. The days when I could post a fic and get major responses are over, so I've gotta work at the brand recognition, so to speak.

I was aiming more for "geeky 20 something TARDIS", but both work as descriptions.
I'm using Lucsly's characterization from the DTI novels. He is the defender of the timeline and detests any and all thoughts of altering it. The Doctor is the antithesis of his beliefs. Additionally, well, time streams and all that. His first meeting with the Doctor from his perspective was quite a while ago and will be further down the SI Doctor's timestream, at a point in time where he's a bit more confident.
Quite a bit more confident.
And lots of victories under his belt too...

I suspect nobody will recognize either setting, since I'm not sure who's into what Episode 6 has shown. I promise, the next two will be in easily-recognized settings.

So, played around with STO a bit.
This is as close as I can get the STO system to showing my mental image of the SI Doctor in his current form. Unfortunately the formal suit requires a vest above the dress shirt; the SI doesn't use a vest in his suit.
I'll add that there doesn't seem to be a function to let me reduce the size of the cheekbones, just the cheeks themselves. So that's also inaccurate.

The woman rescued from the exploding space station at the beginning of the story, in the "pre-title" scene.
(Namely, Mindf**k from Adam Warren's Empowered, because Warren is a bastard and I felt compelled to short-circuit his bastardry).

It just seemed logical to me. I didn't know it wasn't already in the show canon.
Anyway, still on the resulting short. The SI Doctor meets more of Harry's allies and there is yet more Doctor/Harry banter.
And the premiere of... the SONIC BLASTING ROD!
Harry: *cough*Ripoff*cough*

I fully admit Short 7 was very indulgent, but it did allow me that brief foreshadowing of what's to come. What with the arrogant showboating and posturing.

Yes....
Series 2 will cover all of that.
I only have two episodes and a short left for Series 1, although I don't know how large the finale will be, if it starts to exceed 15k words I might split it into two parts if I find a good "halfway point".
