The plot thickens, I wonder if we'll see more of Lange and who's gonna get to be Captain America.

I will bribe you with cookies to write more. I was almost late to work because any of your story updates require I read them right now.

He had a slight writer's block, but I hope he breaks out of it. He's got so many stories that I wish he'd update.

No, it wasn't a case of writer's block. I could have written, I just didn't feel like it.

I see you did write a new Rogue Trader :)

So... politics everywhere, even in the Navigators. I think the little toad needs replaced quickly.

*giggles* Where there is a SHIP, there shalt always be a Still.

The quality of the brew might be questionable, but I understand a good brewer often finds his squeezings get a following from other ships in port. Hell, if it's good enough, add it as a special trading item.

As for the Navigators -- score for the Lord Captain. First, he sees through the BS, and then he scores a win by confusing the lady with a kiss.

It's good to see the traditions continue. Side note brewers usually don't get involved in other shady doings. The Still is usually considered neutral ground and while officers know about it, as long as that's all that's going on (and no one shows up to duty drunk) they don't dick with it.

Troops and Seamen a long ways from land need something to relax you know...

The petty officer is not your typical brewer and you haven't seen the last of him.

Considering what we've heard and seen so far, I hope the girl picked some training with a knife.

Ah... more Rogue Trader.

I see Kridge is still working out how to set up his still. It is also interesting that Japhael is the Navigator... Tiberius couldn't make it to help, or just handing it off to the 'lesser'?

That really has nothing to do with the still. He's setting up a blackmarket sideline. The brass tends to look down on that. Still seems he's quiet the industrious little worker, I wonder if he's as good at being a spacer as he is a mini mob boss.

The first Free Federation story you wrote, I've read nearly a dozen times now. More is good :).

Kail e'Zerakis
We discussed this one... e' (name) means something like 'house of (name)', right? A clan name, a lineage.

Prince of Nothing:
Never read the books. I'm swimming in the deep end here, but it's self-explanatory so far.

Lineage in the form of the line of magicians who trained him (and to a certain extent, shaped him). Kail is e'Zerakis because Zerakis did the majority of his training. Incaradine breaks the mold by being e'Kail e'Zaranna e'Zerakis. Both Zaranna and Kail trained him and both of them were shaped by Zerakis or magicians of his line.

They are totally awesome. The story should be comprehensible without having read them.

If you get some spare time, could you throw up little bio's and maybe a intro to your ideas behind the Free Fed universe?

Sure. The basic background is me creating a dark fantasy universe with sci-fi bits included. The central idea is to have a bunch of protagonists that are as nasty as possible while still being recognizably "the good guys" or at least the lesser of two evils. So the bad guys had to be really, really bad and their had to be some practical benefits to justify some of the appalling things the good guys do. Since the ideas go way back, most of the protagonists are damaged goods, but badass instead of angsty whiners.

Zerakis Demonsbane: Necromancer of uncertain origins, born in the Dark Ages. Fought and won the Shadow War between various mage and vampire lines. Lead his followers to the Free Federation rather than go into perpetual hiding or conquer Earth in an orgy of blood.

Daemonstraum: Free Federation sorcerer and famed healer before the beginning of the war. Betrayed the Free Federation to the Naomar Kordassi and rose in their ranks due to his immense sorcerous power and military skill. Eventually his Slaver Lords seize control of the Naomar Kordassi and it becomes known as the Slaver Lord Autocracy.

Mirella: An ambitious Slaver Lord known for her cunning, cruelty, and spite. She often plays with her victims before discarding them.

Kadiastraum: Slaver Lord of the First Circle, famed for his intellect as well as his power.
