"You can still be polite," she said to the smaller bot as she joined ShellShock, Gridlock, and the imposing Deathstrike. She just missed the comment about Megatron.
However, she did give the Decepticon a good long look. The signs of non-native parts weren't as glaring under a new coat of paint, but they were there. "Hello again... I see you're looking better," she said politely.

"I am, thank you," said Deathstrike. "I could get used to this vodka energon very easily."

Hornet hung back at the entrance behind Crimson and the others, not sure if he should approach the Decepticon or not. On the one hand, he had surrendered and asked to change sides. That made him an Autobot now, right? On the other hand though, the others seemed to still be treating him like a Decepticon, especially Stryke...
He crept into the room, keeping behind the other, larger Autobots as he eyed the Decepticon nervously. With a glance up at Crimson, he decided to take her advice.
"Th... thank you for... telling Crimson to tell me not to hit the ground," he said, with absolutely no idea how strange it sounded.

"You are welcome," said Deathstrike. "I would do it for any of my comrades, well any but Starscream but he would never listen in the first place."

Shellshock crossed his arms. "He's more than a capable warrior, I'll give him that. Though I won't admre him, or what he's done." Shellshock didn't add in his other thoughts on it. Shellshock took a look around the room. "They really did make Military models and the others differently didn't they?"
Shellshock looked over to Crimson and Hornet as they entered. "Hello there you two. Enjoy your brief rest?"

Crimson shook her head. "Too strong for me... over-revs my circuits." She looks up at Shellshock and Gridlock, both towering over her just as DeathStrike did. "I think size does matter in this case.""I am, thank you," said Deathstrike. "I could get used to this vodka energon very easily."
The exchange between Hornet and DeathStrike was amusing. So.. fliers are comrades, even on other sides? "I had a nice rest, ShellShock, and got out to take a look at the oil field. I'll give you and Gridlock my thoughts about extraction after Jazz gets here." She should warn Shellshock at least about Stryke's vow to kill Deathstrike. "You may want to go talk to Stryke, tho... he's got something on his mind that's bugging him."

Well the Decepticon certainly didn't SEEM to be preparing to rip his processor out. Some days that was the best Hornet could hope for.
Hornet nodded at Shellshock. "Someone put canvas over me while I was sleeping."

"I was made after the division between civilian and military model had become changed to that between Autobot and Decepticon," said Deathstrike. "I can't speak to what it was like before Megatron's ascension, just what it was like to serve under him. And to betray him."

As always, Hornet was completely lost by the conversation the others were having.
"What... what do you mean civilian and military models?" asked Hornet to Deathstrike and Shellshock with a perplexed look. "I thought... I thought Decepticons were built like the rest of us....

Shellshock pursed his lips some. "Hmmm, right. Sorry, forgot. If it makes you feel any better, I can attest to you what it feels like to regect the offer of power from a young upstart Megatron. Still handed my ass-plate to me. Got a few chances to try at him again. Lost every time." Shellshock rubbed at his chest some.
Shellshock then looked at Crimson. "Right, I'll look in on him then." As Shellshock walked out of the room he looked at Hornet. "Another time kid. Other things to do right now."

"At least you're not a jumped-up ore processor," Crimson said in self-depreciation.Cynical Cat wrote:"I was made after the division between civilian and military model had become changed to that between Autobot and Decepticon," said Deathstrike. "I can't speak to what it was like before Megatron's ascension, just what it was like to serve under him. And to betray him."
"Long story, Hornet...," Crimson said. "Those Who Created the first Cybertronians made two models... one for warfare and one for civilian and personal use. Vorns later, Megatron gathered most of the war-bots to his cause when he went to war. You can ask WheelJack for the details later.""What... what do you mean civilian and military models?" asked Hornet to Deathstrike and Shellshock with a perplexed look. "I thought... I thought Decepticons were built like the rest of us....
It was the short version, and very incomplete... but she hoped it worked for the moment.

Hornet suddenly got a horrified look on his face, as if he had just seen Megatron himself walk through the door.
"But..." he said, backing away slowly, his voice thin and scared... "but... I... I'm a... a military... model..."

Crimson was quick to reply. "That's because we started making them ourselves, Hornet." She looked up at Deathstrike. "The new ones are always such a blank slate..."

"I was made after he recruited the founders of the Decepticons. I was made to continue his war, to bring death from the sky we controlled, even against Guardian robots. I did not flock to his banner, I was made under it. The early days are just data tracks to me, not memories I lived. The Megatron I served under was a general and warrior, not an agitator. That time had passed. As for you, mere fortune would not have saved you, not against Megatron," said Deathstrike. "Without skill or power, you would be slag by now. It speaks well for you that you have survived his wrath."

It may have sounded obvious to everyone else, but Hornet let out a loud sigh of relief as Crimson explained. "Oh..." he said. "Okay... I just... I thought you meant that I was a Decepti...."
He stopped in mid-sentance and looked up at Deathstrike, suddenly remembering that the Decepticon was in the room.
"Um... I mean... there's... nothing wrong with being a... Decept... er... I mean... there is... but..."
Finally tongue tied out of comission, Hornet took the opportunity to merely hide behind the other Autobots and hope that the Decepticon had spontaniously gone deaf.

"Bah...military model, consumer model, is all.." and Gridlock broke into a string of untranslatable Russian.
After he calmed down, he looked at the others, "Jazz and Springer be here in two cycles. Get prepared for debriefing, then construction work."
With that, Gridlock moved off back to the command center, to get ready.

"What is wrong with this one?" Deathstrike asked. "I am surrounded by Autobots and unarmed and still he fears me? I am not Shockwave or Megatron, whose names will always carry power. He did not even know who I was before today."

Crimson looked up at Deathstrike, then behind her at Hornet, who was even smaller than she was. "First... he is one of the most recently made, so he's only seen the worst of Decepticons, and what they do to his friends" she said, ad-libbing. "Second, you're the first one even I have spoken to this long without getting shot at. Third ... well..." she looked back up at Deathstrike, then to the TeenyBot, then up to Deathstrike. "You're three times his size. He's also afraid of IronHide if that makes you feel any better."

A few minutes after Deathstrike was released from his CR chamber, Ice's own chamber hissed open. A hand appeared at the door and grabed the side, pulling the Decepticon out. He gave himself a once over to ensure that nothing was out of place. He would hate to ruin a perfectly good setup by having his armor chroma-shift back to black because of repairs.
Satisfied that all was in order he followed the sound of voices till he found the others.
He checked his internal chronometer and noted that not long had passed at all, relatively speaking.
"Told you, Crimson. All I needed was a little energon."

Crimson turned and gave Swiftshot a grin. "And I was right, you do have nice lines," she teased back, looking the silvery Autobot over flirtatiously.

"I am not afraid of Ironhide!" insisted Hornet, a complete and total lie of course, but given that Ironhide wasn't presently among them, it was a reasonable enough one to make.

"Nice lines do not make me nearly half as nice as you, Crimson," Ice replied softly.
He 'blinked' then glanced down at Hornet. Internally he wonder at the prescense of the micro-sized Cybertronian. If units like this one were now part of the rank and file of the Autobots, how was it that the Decepticons had not yet won?

Hornet turned as Swiftshot came in, repaired to full, and introduced himself, which was a nice change (most bots didn't bother to acknowledge Hornet existed).
"Hi!" chirped Hornet with a broad grin, "I'm Hornet. Are you feeling better?"

Shellshock wound his way around the facility, looking for Stryke. When he eventually found the warbot the older Autobot stalked up to him. "Hey, how well did you rest?"
