He looked sideways at her and nodded. After a moment, he wryly thought something in the psychic equivalent of her 'direction'.

Where I'm from, we don't usually start fighting 'till we've left the briefing room.

Blackheart looked blandly in Gravitas's direction.

"Yes, yes. I'm sure it all sounds stupid." Gravitas reacted to the look. "When you come up with how to stop someone who can halt time, let me know. Because even a weapon moving at the speed of light takes time to reach it's target, and it's user needs time to think about activating it, there's a somewhat huge gap to cover."

Em smiled. -Apperently they do things differently here. I actualy don't know why everyone's at each other's throat... I mean aside from the obivious stememnts.- She patted his arm then spoke outloud. "Um I have a question..." She even raised her hand.

Blackheart looked blandly in Gravitas's direction.

"You would have to move him outside of time..." Argent answered simply, then looked over to the young woman they'd rescued. Oddly enough.. she'd never caught the young woman's name.

She looked at agents Blackheart and Bowman, "This really has nothing to do with signing up because I'm kind of indentured to service here anyway. I was just wondering if one, there's anyway of accessing my old files and two if there's someway I could get my memory back? If not that's ok.. I was just wondering." She droppped her eyes.

"Getting your memory back is Bowman's and the science geeks department," Blackheart said to Cammy. "I'll let him handle that one. As for Tarot, I've killed timebenders before. Their powers can be extremely potent, but they don't possess the omnipotentence or omniscience they are prone to believe they have."

Argent gave Legacies and Saibot a glance and a tightly controlled suggestion of 'trust Blackheart'. She was sure both men were recalling the conversation they had had concerning Tarot earlier that week. Still, as planned, she waited for Saibot to have the final say before announcing if they were going to join or not.

"Honestly, I'm not a mentalist, so I can't tell you one way or the other about your memory. It's a fickle thing. We can try but I can't make promises. As for your records, we would need your name, your actual name that is, before we could do a search."

Bowman sighed deeply, glancing over at Argent and Saibot.
"The nanites... the nanites were a mistake, a serious breech of protocol. We've used control nanites before, but never like this. Tarot's actions are reprehensible and are being investigated.

"But, sadly, I'm afraid Agent Blackheart is completely wrong with his comment of Tarot hiding behind lawyers. From what I'm pulling up, he won't have to. The man is classified six ways from Sunday. Knowing anything other then his codename is classified. I've got people looking into it but it isn't promising.

"I can't make guarentees that people won't be hurt in the course of duty. We don't like seeing our agents skinned alive. It tends to increase our insurance costs. But we do try to minimize the risks when possible and our health care plan is second to none. Even includes dental. You won't find that at the post office."

The entire time since he sat down, Saibot had been listening. They talked, and he said not a word, though Lei had his hand held loosely.

When they finally shut up, beneath the helmet, he smiled lightly, and began to speak... "You know.....I could care les....." and without warning, a massive pair of glowing blue scissors appeared behind Avatar, and with a loud *schnkt!* sound, cut the werecrocidiles head clean off his shoulders.

This was followed with said scissors flying straight into Blackheart, impaling the agent, which circled around and ran Bowman through, and stuck them both on the far wall.

Saibot laughed, behind the helmet, eyes burning maliciously, as he walked over to Avatar's headless body, unzipped the front of his crotch, and pissed on the still bleeding corpse.



A squeeze of Argent's hand on his and a not to subtle kick in the shins brought him out of his revery. Saibot's helmetted gaze turned to Blackheart and Bowman, and a almost whistful sigh left his lips.

Man he wished that daydream could work. But he would never see Lei again....

"Fine..whatever... I'll sign up."

With that, he went quiet again, back to his daydream..

Legacies stared intently at Agent Bowman for a very long time even after he was finished talking. The silver figure seemed to be cutting through layers of skin into his very soul. The figure leaned against the wall, it's arms crossing as tendrils began to lash around it.

"We shall join. Other options are becoming extremely limited of late."

John was standing in the back of the room silent he was only half there, he was splitting his focus in half the "back" of his mind was analizing security data he had recently downloaded in order to find something that Agent Bowman had asked for. He also mulled over the prospect of joining full time, this could be exactly what his father had in mind when he designed this body surely this was as good a calling as any.

"I will join as well." he said with a quiet distant tone.

There were some days that Argent truly wished she had telepathy: something Saibot was thinking about was making him very *vindinctively* happy. She'd have to ask him what he was fantastizing about it later. All she could figure out was the object of his fantasy wouldn't like what was happening.

Only after Legacies had his say did Argent speak. "And I also agree. But what the men are not saying is this: do not fuck with us like that again." The statement came out as a threat, as Argent's empathy pushed into everyone's psyche to hammer the warning home. Danger. Avoid. I's da Biggest.

Em had picked the wrong time to enter Saibots mind. She was caught in the thought before she had time to react. She didn't say anything, she just backed out of his mind and stared for a moment, then recoiled up against A.J. -Note to self: Don't piss him off.- She quietly sat for the rest of the meeting, mentally signing up with Agent Bowmen.

Gravitas shrugged slowly. "I guess I'm in." He said simply. "If I'm gonna continue to expend my power pulling tails out of the fire, I might as well get paid." He cracked his neck slowly. "Of course, I have special needs. Preferrably access to a fission generator or particle accelerator between missions, to recharge."

The wave of I AM BIGGER barely ruffled the standing emotional state of the Nova. He was simply not caring about such things, focusing on the difficulties ahead.

As the psychic wave washed over him systems went off in John's head, after the incident with Demise the learning software in his brain had become overly cautious of any unknown systems affecting his brain. John realized that someone was affecting his thoughts, that did not inspire much confidence in the trust of his new team mates.

"I'm in." Blast said his face completely hidden by his mask and his voice muffled. Thank God.

Something malign and terrible woke in Blackheart was the empathic wave washed over him. It was wired into his brain, his nervous system, and his glands. Adrenaline flowed and a terrible urge to destroy and devestate, to utterly humble and break, woke within him. For a moment he clenched his jaw as he fought those emotions down. Then it was under control and his demeanor was calm again. If one wasn't paying close attention to him, you wouldn't no it ever happened.

A.J., something of a connoisseur of psychic transmissions after spending his formative years with Em, batted the empathic transmission aside and quietly noted that the 'team'- he used the word very, very loosely- seemed to have a collective problem with proving whose balls were bigger. He just fucking hoped they were better in the field.

"Alright," said Blackheart as he managed to establish control over himself. "Some things need to be settled. Everyone who wants to be part of the team, head down to the training room." Fucking amateur bullshit. Well, best to get some of it out of their systems, because getting any kind of coordinated activity out of this brigade of would-be tough guys wasn't going to happen.

The agent headed down to large gym and stood in the middle of the floor. "Half of you want a fight so bad you're practically drooling. So you'll get what you want. I'm right here. Come up and take your shot. Who's first? Saibot?"

Legacies pushed off the wall and calmly followed after Blackheart. He was almost tempted to start whistling a tune, but felt it would ruin the mood. Ah well.

As they entered the large gym room Legacies examined it, though his head never moved. When Blackheart spoke, Legacies looked over at him. There had been a time, long ago, when he would have taken him up on that offer. But now, it all seemed rather useless.

"We shall watch, if it is all the same to you."

Tendrils shot up into the cieling and pulled himself up, sitting in his self-made next he watched the others. Let the fight over pecking order commence.

A.J. slumped to the floor and watched the proceedings with interest. It'd be useful to see what they were all capable off, before they were thrown into a life-or-death situation.

Ryan followed the team into the gym. He placed himself with his back against the wall, and watched.

Saibot followed behind Legacies, walking with Argent. When they finally reached the gym, he gave it a once over, and pronounced it fit.

"Half of you want a fight so bad you're practically drooling. So you'll get what you want. I'm right here. Come up and take your shot. Who's first? Saibot?" Blackheart called out his name, it was only fitting he took the man up on the offer.

"Sure....we have a few things to settle anyway. May as well get it done now, right Hero?" He slipped from Argent's side, and walked towards the fighting area. He tensed and relaxed the seperate muscles in his arms and chest as he went, getting himself mentally ready for a battle.

"With or without powers, either way, I've been saving the world before you became a Agent...so expect a whuppin."

Blast crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall, trying to look unconcerned. Mentally he readyed himself to trigger his shield. If he had to he could just walk right between everyone.

Em looked at A.J as she sat next to him. -This is rediculus. I swear they're like over-grown two year olds... If it gets to bad I'm 'porting out of here, Saibot's got a lot of rage built up.- She turned invisable to watch the fight.
