In a sub-basement of the Binary Building, Saibot blasted through another wall , "They have to be around here somewhere. If I was a plasma relay control chip...where would I be? Ah yes..of course."

The storage safe stoof resting agains the wall, looking like is was poured into the very spot. It would be difficult to crack it. Or should be.

His saber slashed in the air 4 times, each stroke creating 2 bars of energy, which then took the shape of arrows. He pointed the sword at the safe, and all eight struck home. The metal melted, popped and slagged with each impact, until the lock itself melted. The ring upon his right finger glowed, until a beamgrabbed the door, and ripped it open as his arm swung out.

"Finally...these will fetch a ni......."

Saibot growled as the safe stood empty before him.

"Son of a....they must have moved the chips..looks like there's no reason to stay here then....."

With that, Saibot's life support field glowed, and he flew out of the building, and through the front door.

Blackheart took his hand. "Pleased to meet you. Forensics has to go over the place and make their determination on how many died, let alone how many metas. I've got a huge fucking report to write at the end of this."

Legacies turned as a new threat came through the front door. His hands shifted into scythes as he watched the meta bear down on him. Mark blinked. No, he wasn't. It was those damn drugs. The scythes slipped away again as Mark looked at the man. "Saibot. Looking for a little loose change?"

Saibot came flying right out the front door and in front of Blackheart. Blackheart's fist collided with his face, knocking Saibot into the pavement hard. "You're under arrest," said Blackheart calmly. "Resisting is really a bad idea."

"I can clear away the hallucinogens and make everyone's lives easier" the lycathrope intoned.

"Besides, if I get a good sample of the stuff, I can probably create an antidote and innoculate the local Supers, or at least give them some sort of resistance. In my real life I am a biologist by training and I have a good knowledge of toxicology from my work with venomous snakes, among other things"

Legacies stepped between them. "Hey, hey. What's going on here? I'm sure my friend Saibot here was only trying to help. He may be a little zelous sometimes but so far the guy hasn't done too bad."

Blackheart's fist impacted with Saibot's face, through the blow was softed thanks to the Life Support field. Despite that, he was thrown back in the air from the force of the blow.

He landed in a crouch a few feet away, his ring and sense of equilibrium helping him adjust so he wouldn't crash. He instantly gripped tighter the handle of his saber, and behind the mask, his eyes narrowed at the Ultima Teamer.

"Under what charge? Between me, you and the kid, I was the only one who didn't kill a person...."

"Threatening a federal agent and tampering with evidence hot shot. Felonies. Come quietly and you'll get your day in court. We do this the hard way and if you live through it you get your day in court with at least resisting arrest tacked on to it."

Legacies looked at Blackheart. "I didn't see him threatening you officer. As for tampering with evidence I'd say a lot more tampering was done by the amateurs that tried to take this case then by him. What was the city thinking anyway by sending a call out like that? A lot of innocent people could have been killed." Legacies did not move from his position between the officer and Saibot.

"Last I checked, blowing a hole in a floor didn't count as tampering with evidence. As for threatening a federal agent...."

The life support field glowed as Saibot got to his feet, "If you thought I was threatening you...then maybe we should handle this like men.....oh I'm sorry, I forgot...your a Meta...your not a man."

He looked towards the familiar voice which spoke when he first left the building, he recognized the man. "You hang out with Ultima types now Legacies? Never would have expected that."

The lycanthrope was legitimatly angry at that last comment and suppressed a hiss, that would only help prove the rat-fuckers point.

Legacies glanced back at the independant. "Only when I have to Saibot." He looked back at Blackheart. "Then you have a lot more Metas to worry about than just this one officer. Because a lot of metas were there and your city and those hostages were in danger because some moron decided to broadcast that they needed metas."

Niner saw the confrontation happening in front of the building. He reached out. There were four minds he did not recognize and one he did. He had felt that mind before, in the lab where he was grown. He had felt it for three months before it had left.

Niner reached to that mind and spoke to it.

Who are you? What is your connection to Project Guardsman? And why should I not kill you were you stand, scum?

Legacies now turned on Blackheart, hands fully turned into long dangerous blades. "Oh, so now you're threatening me in my mind so you can claim I attacked first is that it? What the hell does Project Guardsman have to do with any of this?" Legacies seemed to pause for a moment. "What do you mean that seemed familiar?"

Niner squated down, lowering his towering height of 6'7" to a much shorter 6 foot. He reached out to the metas that had suddenly shown an interest in find him and whenever their eyes would sweep over him, they would be attarcted to something else.

At this point, a figure emerged out of the shadows next to the group. He wore a dark cloak and by his sides you could see he came equipped for a fight - two rods that looked like collapsable batons were attached to a belt.

There was a moment of pause, and though masked the figure blinked as if in disorientation.

"This wasn't where I wanted to emerge... oh, hi. Looks like I'm late, eh?"

Legacies snorted "Piss off, I'm not on your payroll." He looked around asking the Symbiote what exactly he meant by the voice being familiar. A dialogue began in the meta's head. A few seconds later Legacies groaned.

Mark went back into his mind.
'You have to be kidding.'
'I am afraid not. That was the mind of an experiment where I was trapped.'
'And he wasn't happy there?'
'Not at all I am afraid.'
'So now he thinks I'm one of them.'
'That is the jist of the situation yes.'
'And that means he wants me dead.'
'Unfortunately.'
'And how can we stop this?'
'Nothing comes to mind unfortunately.'

Legacies shook his head once or twice and began scanning again. "This night keeps getting better." A new figure appearing caused Legacies arm to shoot up and a silver spike to fly past the new person's ear. "You're too late to break anything kid. Go home." Mark went back to scanning.
