"This will do fine," said Blackheart, "unless anyone has reasons to move."

He surpressed a giggle, his face twitching from the effort. In one hand he held what appeared to be some sort of high tech glass jar. He set if down on the table next to the body he stood over.
His fingertips brushed over the arm of the unconcious body. It reacted to his touch with obvious fear and anger. The skin flowed back from the touch then surged forward, trying to attack. Tendrils flowed, solidified and lashed out.
The twitching of his face around his eyes and the not quite there gaze belied the sureity and speed of his movements. He snatched one of the tendrils as it tried to lance his arm. The tendril writhed in his grasp, trying to pull itself away from his touch. It somehow sensed the wrongness of what was happening.
Other of the tendrils wrapped around his arm and squeezed, some pierced the skin, goign all the way through. The bones in the man's arm popped, cracked and broke. Blood oozed slowly from the wounds, causing the tendrils to twitch as it seemed to burn them.
The arm tensed and pulled, ripping the tendril it was holding from the body. The others tried to stop this, squeezing harder and tearing through the arm with reckless abandon. The man tittered. The arm pulled back, stretching the tendrils before they released and retreated, flowing back smoothly into the skin of the body. The tendril he grasped twisted and tried to fight its way free. He opened the jar with his other hand and forced the tendril into it before sealing it again. The tendril moved about the confines of its new home, struggling to find a way out. It did this for a moment before liquifying again and going dorment.
The wounds in the arm stopped bleeding, the skin began to grow back. The holes gouging his arm wouldn't be there for more then a few more minutes. The muscles and tendons jerked about inside as the bones moved back into place and began to fuse together again. Picking up the jar he turned and walked away from Legacies, his mouth twitching upwards as he surpressed another giggle.

That was all Argent needed to hear, and the shadowdragon slipped into the nearest shadow and was gone.Cynical Cat wrote:"This will do fine," said Blackheart, "unless anyone has reasons to move."
She flew thru the shaodw-world, a softly glowing form in the endless darkness between, the great heart beating once, slowly, like long-distant thunder...
... And then there was brightness as she slid out of a shadow in the corner of Saibot's livingroom, setting Blast down carefully on the other end of the couch. The living room was seperated from the kitchen by a low counter, and the furniture nearly screamed 'bachelor pad'. Yet there were small oriental touches here and there, little signs that a feminine presense was slowly making herself comfortable.
"Welcome to Saibot's house..." Argent said softly as she dissolved into her human self.

Blast looked around in interest, this was not what he had been expecting. Then again what had he been expecting? Some kinda of lair with trickets or an angsty goth hole? No one really lived like that. Still it was roomier then his apartment and certainly less... modern then Blackheart's place.
"Saibot, you here?" He called out.

Saibot wasn't, after opening the beer and taking a few drinks, the angsty s.o.b. decided to get a jump start on Argent's training for the evening.
He had scribbled a note, leaving it on the counter under a half finished beer.

It looked like he had left in a bit of a rush, the door to his private area was left ajar, enough that the glow from the wooden box which re-energized his ring was readily visible, illuminating in eeriy half shadow, the maniquinn which wore the White Guardian costume...Give me ten miuntes, then come looking for me. Make sure the kid is comfy.

No answer... Was now really the time to play games? There was a stronghold of manics controlled by someone right out of a holocaust novel to assault and take down and Saibot was playing games. And he was the kid of the group? There was a door ajar. Maybe he was just napping or in the can?
He walked through the door, saw the maniquinn and the glowing wooden box. Okay... Werid. He cleared his throat.
"He don't seem to be here." He announced.

Argent had seen the half-drank beer, and a shadow had brought the note under it to her. "It seems he wishes me to start playing hide and seek," Argent stated dryly. "I am to make sure you're comfortable, which I believe means offer you a beer, and then to try to follow him through our link."
She looked over at the open door with the soft glow inside, then her black-on-black eyes turn to Blast. "If he was here, he would tell you not to go inside that room. It is a trophy room from the past." She did not deny him entrance herself as she walked behind the counter into the kitchen.
"Do you wish a beer, or something less intoxicating?" she asked, opening the fridge. "I was going to let you charge up at Ultima, but if Saibot wishes to pay for the bill, that is his choice. Just be careful not to overload the breakers when you draw your energy. These row houses are old."

Garth, dressed in jeans, a black t-shirt and a jacket, had just left the building when Blast and Argent appeared in the apartment.
The ring was left to recharge in the room, and his sword was tucked away at the small of his back in a specially designed holster - it was invisible beneath the coat.
He decided not to pick a destination, but just started walking, he didn't want to give Lei any clue on his destination, which he wasn't even sure about - yet anyway. He toyed with the idea of using the sword to speed away, but for the first test, the first time, he didn't want to risk Argent not being able to find him at all.

"Soda is fine." Blast said, looking for an open outlet, did they really have time for this? To be fair he really wanted a shot at Freak Show. No one got to bring up those memories without paying for it*.
He found an outlet and began to charge carefully. That crack about tripping breakers kinda stung, he yet to overload a circuit. Still he would be careful, this house looked old enough to be part of New York City. The energy came slowly and sluggishly, but it came he could feel himself charging up to full power bit by bit.

The soda arrived, bourne on a tendril of shadow. "I see you've found an outlet." Leah said as she walked over to the open doorway, gazing inside but not entering. Her black-on-black eyes seemed to narrow against the faint blue light shining within, almost as if it was too bright for her. Yet the light in the living room was far brighter, and she seemed to have no trouble there as she turned back to face Blast.
"How long will it take you to recharge?"

"A bit. I'm going slower then usual. I'm afraid I can't give you an excalt time frame, never done it with a stop watch you see." Blast said distantly his eyes glazing over has he concenrated more on the energy flows around him, focusing most on the outlet and the flow out of it. He could just about trace the wire that carryed the electiric to him, just about...

Argent sensed Blast's concentration, and gave him a moment of quiet. Once again, her eyes drift back to the softly glowing box where Saibot's ring was recharging. An idea brushed her mind.
"Blast...? Can you draw from a source other than electricity?"

"I've yanked energy out of metahuman attacks and a car engine." Blast mumbled as he kept drawing. If he was understanding the flows right, the wiring in this building was a crime, almost as old as the building which was likely older then Saibot!

"In here..." Lei said, gesturing to the open door. "The box. It is meta-powered, somehow, and powers Saibot's ring." Her lips twist into a wry smile. "Or did you think it was merely a nightlight for the trophy room?"frigidmagi wrote:"Oh?" Blast asked.

"With his taste who can tell... I have drawn from Saibot before, I should be able to draw from the box... I think..." Blast said, eyeing the box. It glowed like a lighthouse to his energy sight...

"It will refill you faster, which is what we need." Lei stated simply. And, if that meant that Saibot's ring did not get charged as planned, then it would serve him right for starting on this fool's errand to begin with. "Do you wish to try?"

"Sure, why not, be quicker and easier then drawing through this outlet, these wires are older then we are if I'm seeing right." Blast nodded and began to slowly disengage himself from the outlet's power flow, when that was done he moved over to the box and put a hand on it carefully.

Lei, having had her own run-in with the box, wisely stepped back. Whomever made the box had not liked demonics, which was why even the light was sometimes harsh on her. She was only assuming that it would accept Blast; naive, trusting, helpful, heroic-wannabe child-man as he was.

Legacies' eyes shot open as tendrils began to twist and turn. The restraints holding him down were cleaved into tiny pieces, instruments that kept the medbay aware of Legacies' health were pierced. The table that Legacies had been placed unto was torn asunder, shards of metal being thrown every which way, impacting on the walls, some imbedding there. Short of the screams of inhuman fury Legacies could be heard yelling.
"Where is it?! Who has taken it?! We shall kill every last one of you traitors!"
Down the hall the medical teams went into a frenzy of activity as security squads were called down. Tranq guns were cocked and loaded, a full dozen men focused their attention on the door to the room as it blew open, smashing into the opposite wall. A flurry of darts were shot into the openning in an attempt to end this quickly, many of the darts hit at odd angles and bounced off the armored hide of the symbiote as it bullrushed the door, tendrils shooting out and striking with enough force to crack bone as they mowed through the initial wave of security.
As the last man fell Legacies wrapped a tendril around one of the security guards, popping his helmet off the symbiote liftd him to his feet and held him close. "Where is it child? Where have you traitors taken our pieces. You do not have the right, you never shall have the right, and if we do not recieve the answers we want we shall torture you until we do."
The face of the symbiote was once again a ravening beast intent on only death and killing. More guards and quite a few metas were informed of what was happening in medbay.

Kyosuke had been relaxing in one of the saunas, sweat pouring off his body as his muscles relaxed after a long workout. He opened his eyes from his meditation, replaying the session in his mind.
He stood, clad in a pair of gym shorts and a towel drapped around his shoulders. Opening the door he stepped out into the much cooler locker room. A quick shower later he was toweling off the moisture from his skin and changing back into his normal leathers.
No sooner had he stepped out of the locker room then the crash came from the floor above him. He took off at a sprint towards the stairwell, not bothering to wait in an emergency for an elevator. He hit the fire door at a dead run, sending it flying open as he took the stairs three at a time to the next floor.
Yanking open the door he entered the medical floor. He rounded the corner only to find one of the orderlies laying in a unconcious heap on the ground. Another one holding a badly broken arm was leaned up against the wall a few feet away. He looked further down the hallway and into the medbay to see the multi-tendriled form of one of his own teammates. Legacies.
He watched Legacies tense to make good on his threat of torture to the guard. Kyosuke advanced into the medbay, his hands held open.
"Legacies-san! Put the nice man down and speak with me. What troubles you surely is not bad enough to warrent this!"

Ryan ran into the room wearing a pair of sweatpants, he carried his pistol with him. He took a look around, saw Kyosuke trying to calm down Legacies. He edged to his right and relieved one of the down guards of his tranq weapon.
He cloaked himself and moved as silently as he could to get a better shot on Legacies. Come on, Kyo, talk him down. He thought. He really didn't want to have to shoot him.

Gravitas remained where he was. There was no reason to move on, and he had taken out a palmPC to type away at. What's he typing? Perhaps better not to ask.
Something tugged at his senses. "Legacies doesn't have a power allowing him to divide into multiple copies, does he?"

The silver face turned to look at Kyosuke, a low growl coming from the creature as it stared at him like it would a hated enemy. Slowly the guard was set down, a quick motion of a tentacle knocked the man out and sent him skidding across the ground a few feet.
"You speak falsely. You and yours have stolen a piece of us and we shall tear this facility apart until it is returned to us." The head jerked slightly, looking over Kyosuke's shoulder. In a flash a silver spike fired over his shoulder, imbedding in the wall directly infront of Ryan's face.
"Put the gun down traitor or the next will go through your throat."
Legacies' attention turned back to Kyosuke. "You humans trifle in matters beyond your understanding. Our child shall be returned to us, one way or another. Step aside unless you wish to die."
