"Uhhh, not really..." She replied. She was very shook up and probably would've said no even if she had. She had done good in her attempts to steer clear of these people since her accident and here she was, not three feet away from one of them. Fuck

"Okay. Need ride home?" Anderson offered. He figured he owed her, and seeing as she apparently wasn't a civilian, he reckoned she could keep quiet.

"By the way. Good work. Appreciated."

The girl only noded. "I don't have a home...Unless one of your buddies can erase the memory of that guy who ran away, he probably won't let a freak back in his house."

Right away she knew that "freak" had been the wrong term to use.

Alex sighed

"well, so much for informed consent' he muttered and waited for legacies to regain conciousness.

Still, a hallucinogen like that will stay in his blood stream, or at least his urine. So it wasnt as if he was pressed for time. He walked over to another closet, pulled out a blanket and pillow, returned; and placed the pillow under legacies' head and draped the blanket over him.

Then he sat on the wall, and talked with the alligators and turtles for a while

Anderson nodded. Pointing to the passenger seat, he finished pulling off his armour and took his seat. Carefully reversing out of the alley, he drove off. He mused for a bit and then commented, "You need place to stay, sleep in back or recline seat back. Can stay for night. Take you to work tomorrow-- you got job? Oh, and 'freak' is relative. Might be freak, but cute anyway."

Immediately he mentally cursed himself for slipping like this. Back in the day I'd have just taken her to the Salvation Army and dropped her there with a $20... but she's cute... Dammit!

Cam tried to act like she hadn't read his mind but giggled in spite of herself. No no.. stop it! Stop it NOW! she chastized herself. This is why people think you're a freak. No the reason they think you're a freak, is because you are a freak. With a capitol F. Her odd colored eyes began to water and she let out a sob.

In a flurry the pillow and blanket were in tatters, as well as the table he was on. Fragments flew across the lab as Legacies stood in the middle of the Carnage, breathing heavily and looking around. His hands were gigantic claws. "Where am I, who are you."

As has been the universal reaction of males upon encountering a crying female of the species, Anderson was utterly bewildered and quite helpless. Stammering, he eventually decided 'to hell with it' and pulled down another street, finding a convenient location to park, in the lot in front of a Walmart.

Totally stumped, he eventually, tentatively, lifted the armrest of his seat and turned towards her, and inquired, with most magnificent sensitivity and perspacity, "Um... uh...?", holding out his hands a bit helplessly...

:!:

Holding up a finger, he jumped out of the van, dashed into Walmart, spent two minutes wrangling with the night-shift clerk over the proper change for a $50 from a masked man, and returned with $20 worth of chocolate... this great prize he offered tentatively, mumbling "It might help...?"

In a flash, gusts of controlled air prevented damage to the lab equipment

"I am Dr. Alex Clarson, AKA Avatar. You are in my home and lab because you were under the affects of a hallucinogenic compound. I was trying to help you." he said very quickly, but clearly. "Now please dont destroy my lab"

Legacies looked around. His body lowered as if to attack then relaxed and the claws faded away. "That damn meta..." Mark stood straight. "And what happened to the building?"

"Yeah, why not inflict more property damage instead of using the stairs. Asshole." Blackheart turned back to Blast. "With him gone the nasty stuff is going to kick back in full force and it looks like the bad guys have flown the coup. What we have left is a job for investigators who are not high on psychotropic drugs."

He picked up Blast and carried him out throught the previously blasted whole and dropped him on the street. He reached into his pocket for a card and wrote a number on the back. "You can reach me at this number. Its your life, you do what with you want with it but if you want to talk about what its like wearing the mask or whatever give me a call."

"that, I am unaware, It was still standing the last time I saw it. My biggest concern was getting someone who was obviously not in the best of mental conditions out of it. Besides, if you will notice from the deep cuts all over my body, I was not in good shape anyway" he said. pointing to the blood which had soaked through his clothes in multiple places, like his chest, arms and abdomen." "Thanks... I'll think about it." Blast said. holding on to the number, it was at this point he realized a another problem with the whole superhero thing. His uniform didn't have pockets. Great...

When Blackheart flew off, Tobin druged to where he had hidden his backpack. Still there thank God. He limped into a building to change, he wanted to sleep for a week...

He made it back to his apartment without any futher problems and crashed into the bed. Before drifting off to sleep he realized something... While a mass amount of property damage had been caused... None of it had been by him! If he made it into the press, they wouldn't be able to complain about him wrecking half a town this time! Score!

Mark nodded. "I need to return to that place. I want to make sure the hostages got out and need to check on the others." Mark began to head for the exit. "You coming doctor? I am thankful to you and you could certainly help."

Blackheart hovered in front of the police cruiser, his wallet in front of him. "There are some seriously nasty pyschotropic agents inside," he yelled to the assembled rescue crews. "No one goes inside without breathing equipment."

Niner made his way through the streets to the Binary Building. It was still standing. The building was taped off and crawling with investigators. Niner stood on the sidewalk, near the back of a crowd that was watching the police and agents going about their business.

"I would be happy to. Besides, the only entrance or exit to this place is underwater. I sealed it up when I took over this place" he said with a grin.

"Now, what you are about to see may disturb you"

He shifted into his half-suchid form in a spectacle of transmuting flesh and bone until the usual WereGator stood before Legacies.

Far above the world, in an orbit that put him in perfect position to lean against one of the communications satellites, Phil's body purged the last of the LSD from his system. The images were fading in his head, back to the back of his mind, where they remained. What had happened there? He had been there to rescue hostages...

He shook his head. Home. Well. Back to camp, anyway. A portal opened, and he returned to the small tent sitting in the dust. The problem was, of course, that looking up, one saw it would be a full Earth tonight.

The tent, in the Sea of Tranquility, sat quietly.

Legacies watched with a seeming disinterest, he'd been a soldier involved in the Genocide fight of the 90's. It would take a lot more than that.

"That looks painful, especially with all your cuts."

Mark began to move towards the water.

"well, you know, after my first time, my body got used to being rearranged on the molecular level, and violating every law of biology and chemistry, and a good number of the laws of physics" he said with a pained chuckle while gasping for breath.

"Alright, lets go."

He led Legacies out through the hatch and into the sewer. Then into the Hudson river.

They emerged after a few minutes, legacies was still miraculously completely dry.

"Are you capable of flight? Or do I need to violate all the laws of physics by my lonesome?"

Mark did not seem to get the joke as they headed into the water. When they came out Mark looked around. They were a ways out from the building it looked like. "Depends if you can fly fast."

" I can get from here to the building in seconds. It isnt so much flight as throwing myself there in a series of self-created updrafts and wind gusts"

He closed his eyes and a collumn of air carried them both several hundred stories up and above the skyline. They hovered there for a second before Avatar redirected the airflow to not only keep them aloft, but push them forward at an incredible speed. No fine maneuvers were really capable as it took time to do things like accelerate and decelerate when what you were doing was essentially sailing. But it got the job done for traveling from place to place quickly.

They decelerated and floated to the ground softly right next to Blackheart.

"Quite the operation you have here"

Mark landed and looked at BlackHeart. "I'm Legacies. This is Avatar. I was involved in this operation but was incapacitated while attacking the ringleader. Were the hostages successfully evacuated?"

Mark looked back at the building which was a mess. He muttered under his breath. "Damn amateurs."
