Em felt Lei arrive and rushed into the livingroom.

Lei wrote:"Listen up, all of you." she said, underscoring her words with a feeling of -this is important-. "There was a bank robbery not far from here. Legacies, Gravitas, Vanish, Blackheart and I all responded. Two metas were captured, one was killed... but Gravitas, Vanish, and Blackheart are all in Medical now. Legacies is handling the cleanup."

"What happened?" She asked, nervously. "I wanted to come but you left too quickly. I've been trying to get everyone up..."

Within two minutes several doctors were clustered around Blackheart, checkin his pulse and pupil response. "What happened?" a middle aged man asked.

"Well, there was this woman. . ." one of the nurses began.

"And?"

"She didn't stick around, said something about his tumour acting up."

The doctors looked at each other. It had never, ever done anything like this. "Get Cavanaugh. And see if you can find that woman."

"Why didn't you get a ride with Avatar? He was also running behind..." Lei said flatly, more concerned with those in Medical. "Gravitas and Vanish were in the path of a sonic attack. I don't know what's wrong with Blackheart... he just collapsed after the attack was over, possibly his tumor."

Lei never stopped to think that no one knew that 'Vanish' was her new name for Agent Ryan. But she did walk over and look down at the snoring Saibot. Slowly she leaned down, and started whispering something in his ear. She was tightly shielded, so Em couldn't peek into her mind for what she was saying.

If Em was brave enough to slip into Saibot's mind, she was welcome to try....

"I'll get the others up" She said leaving Lei to wake up Garth. She walked back into the bedroom where Blast was still snoring. "God damn it man WAKE UP!" She sent a very weak psychic pulse his way.

"You pretty much drank yourself stupid. Now get up up up! there was an attack... Something's wrong with Blackheart, Legacies, Gravitas and others. Lei knows more than I do."

With that she walked out of the room.

The doctors did what they could for Ryan, right now, he was just lying on his back in on a hospital bed, in a dark, curtained off area. The docs had said, or wrote, that only time would tell if he could ever hear again or if he would need some sort of hearing aid.

He was currently just thinking about his plans, what he was going to do.

Em stopped and turned to look at Blast. "I've been trying to wake you up for over an hour! Everyone went to the robbery and a lot of them got hurt." She turned back and kept walking.

A handsome woman in her late thirties was one of hundreds in the lecture hall. Her phone rang, the one she alway had with it. She took it out of her purse. "Hello?"

"Doctor, there has been an unexpected development with one of your patients."

"Which one?"

"Blackheart."

She blinked in surprise. It had been years since she had treated him directly. "You'll be briefed by the med team when you arrive. They seem to think your expertise is required."

"Just a moment," she said. She got up and said to the people beside her, "a patient emergency. I'm afraid I've got to go." She then began to walk out of the lecture hall. "Transportation?" she asked into the phone.

"Flashback will be picking you up."

"When?" she said as she passed through the double doors. She saw a white suited meta coming towards her. "Never mind, I see him."

Garth wasn't even really sleeping, he had heard the others leave, he just choose to remain laying down. The decision was facilitated by the fact he ad a headache the size of Texas...

When Lei spoke, he cracked his eyes open, and looked up at her. He slowly sat up, turned to look at her, and grinned half sheepily.

"Shoulda woke me..." he said, as he looked around.

"We tried..." Lei said simply. "You were suffering from too much alcohol."

A shadow tendril appeared with a half-gallon of orangejuice, setting it in his hands. It was obvious she meant him to drink all of it... a 'cure' for the hangover.

"Blackheart is the worst off... I may need to go back and see if the Doctors have any questions for me, since I and Legacies were the only ones to see him collapse."

Flashback and Doctor Mary Cavanaugh appeared in Ultima's medical center in a flash of white light. The doctor fumbled in her purse for her ID badge, pinned it on to her suit jacket, and walked in. She waylaid the closest nurse. "I'm Doctor Cavanaugh. I'm here to see Blackheart where is he?"

"Right this way doctor." There was another flash as Flashback vanished. The nurse stared.

Cavanaugh snapped her fingers. "Don't pay attention to the teleporter. Blackheart. Now."

She was conducted to the exam room. "Doctor Cavanaugh-," Doctor Lawrence began.

She waved it away. "What's his status?"

"He collapsed, unconcious. No sign of injury."

"The symbiot."

"Yes, that's our suspicion."

"When was he last examined?"

"This week. It reached his spine."

"Ahh. Ahead of schedule. Lets get a tracer into him and take a look."

Lei looked over those that spoke up, and nodded. Once again, she took her Shadowdragon form and stretched out her wings, touching Blast, Em, and Saibot.

Seconds later they were in Ultima headquarters, in the waiting room for the Medical bay. Somehow Lei didn't think that the nurses would appreciate a bedside visit with this many people. "Here we are... I'll check with the nurses to see how Gravitas, Vanish, and Blackheart are," she said, reforming into human.

Of course, the re-appearance of the inky-black dragon that dropped off Blackheart might get her more attention than she wished. As it was, Lei was shielding herself heavily to prevent taking in too much of the residentual emotions that always surround a hospital -- pain, discomfort, boredom...

A nurse's eyes practically bulged out of her sockets when Lei appeared. She took a moment to recover. "How can I help you ma'am?"

"We would like to know the status of our teammates," Argent told her calmly, still shielding herself hard. "I brought in Agent 'Vanish' Ryan, Agent Gravitas, and Agent Blackheart."

"Um, let me consult the charts." The woman hurried over to a desk to talk with her colleagues. "Gravitas is in observation for the moment, Agent Ryan in undergoing an examination, as is Agent Blackheart. A specialist has been brought in for him."

Argent looked over at the teammates she'd brought in, then back to the nurse, using the moment to calm her own emotions. 'A Specialist' for Blackheart? That did not sound good. "How long before we might see them?"

The nurse checked the notes. "Both Gravitas and Agent Ryan should be okay for visitors. The specialist's orders are that he can't have visitors, but that she wants to speak with witnesses."

That took Argent back a little. "Witnesses....? To.. what?" she asked warily. If it was to Blackheart's collapse, that was herself and Legacies only. If it was to anything before that... she hadn't see all the fighting inside. "One is currently wrapping up on scene. That leaves only me."

Argent turned to the others she'd ported in. "Gravitas is able to take visitors. But I'm being asked to verify a few things about Blackheart." Shield, shield, don't let the worry leak out.

Although lots of luck trying to block Saibot.

"I'll return in a moment..." she said, following the nurse's directions down the hall and to the right. She paused at the door before entering.
