Cursing under her breath, Jernei was beginning to wonder if she might have to revert after all, just to take one swordsman down. Absently she noted the monk's danger, as the closest to her, as well as hearing the shadowmage's laughter. What made her snarl in anger was when her target disengaged and vanished. Then the arrows came flying, just as her Ring of Healing started regenerating her wounds slowly.
((I hope you took into account her Evasion from the Boots of Swiftness when rolling for those arrows.
Fort Saves -- 1: 16+18=34 2: 16+15=31))
To the NineHells with this... time to help out the monk. The cleric's back was to her, he may not notice her moving in as she took out her anger on him, leading with a stab from the trident.
((4 attks again, Holy Damage, Possible flatfoot?
10+25+3=38
15+20+3=38
10+15+3=28--no hit?
5+10+3= 18--no hit

2: 6+7+8=21
3?: 2+7+8=17
4, just cause 3+7+5=15))

[11 Will Save + 4 Perfection v. Compulsion + 19 = 34. On the nose. Stop spamming that until I get my saves up! :P It's using up all my good dice luck!]
The kobold's mind was, again, nearly overwhelmed, the assault beaten back only by the presense of Bahamut, the great Platinum Dragon, in his mind. Blackclaw took stock of the situation. He didn't know where the mage was, so he had little chance of engaging his mental assailant. He did, however, have a nice line of sight on the archers who had been bothering him. He thundered forward at them, charging now that their attention was drawn.
[Charge, Reckless Charge, Power Attack, Take 10 on attack for the archer who bothered me. Into melee, punk!
4 attacks, taking 10. To Hits results: 49, 44, 39, 34. Damage, if hit:
10 + 3 + 15 + 4 + 5 + 48 = 85
8 + 2 + 15 + 4 + 5 + 48 = 82
6 + 4 + 15 + 4 + 5 + 48 = 82
10 + 4 + 15 + 4 + 5 + 48 = 86]

Tormenta was in a bad spot at the moment, assassin in front of him was refusing to drop, he had a damn sword in his chest and he needed to get the hell out of there. He put extra power behind his attacks reducing their accuracy but increasing the damage they would do if they did manage to hit. His first swing driving his head into the assassin’s face again connected solidly the assassin backed off a hair and was punched in the stomach, followed by a near miss that lead flawlessly into a devastatingly powerful attack which was unfortunately followed by another near miss. He then winked at Jernei before disappearing and re appearing about 50 feet behind the archers behind a tree granting him full cover [abundant step]. He waited silently for a second taking a deep breath, wincing at the pain, preparing for what he would do next.

Jernei managed to stab into the cleric with her first two strikes, puncturing his armor rather nastily and ripping into his backside.
\(46 damage)
Tormenta managed to bludgeon the Assassin to within an inch of his life again, but he simply refused to die.
(87 damage)
At the same time, Blackclaw managed to reduce one of the archers to some dismembered dangly bits and a pink mist. Each slash with his sword cleaving the largest section of the archer in half.
(gone)
The remaining assassin would have none of this. He ducked around the cleric, and braved a retaliatory strike in order to flank the Trident wielding sea elf right where her kidney's should be.
(94 damage)
(unless you have fortification, he just crited you with sneak attack damage)
The Enemy mage noticed this, and abandoned the fanciful notion of attempting to take over the Kobald's mind. It was obviously stronger than any Kobald's mind had any right to be. So he decided to use a rather nasty spell he knew.
He wove his hands and began the incantations to suck the moisture from Blackclaw's body. When the spell was released Horrid Wilting went into effect.
(78 damage, fortitude save for half DC 33)
Vincent noticed the horrid wilting spell and decided he needed to trace the effect. He looked around, using the Arcane Sight effect that was always active to find the mage. Spotting his glowing aura, he got to work weaving a more powerful spell, hopefully it would reduce him to a quibbering unintelligent mass.
And it worked. The mage suddenly found himself unable to comprehend his own name. (he rolled a 2 on a will save against feeblemind)
The Cleric was in somewhat better shape and was able to muster the strength to swing his heavy flail around and beash her in the face with his shield.
(38 damage)
End of round three
start round 4
The one remaining archer did not take overly kindly to having his friend turned into minced meat and fired multiple arrows into his opponent at once in a last ditch effort to save himself.
Every last one strikes true plunging into Blackclaw's chest
(83 total damage, damage reduction included)

Jernei screamed in horrific pain from the stab, throwing her head back. By degrees, the scream became a roar, as the ring on her left hand, shaped as a dragonhead, flared brilliantly under magesight. Her body elongated, filled out, sprouted wings, and became Saurian. Briefly balanced on two legs, the huge being stared down at the assassin who had dared to strike at her, and she came down. Both sets of foreclaws rended towards the assassin's flesh, and her jaws snapped.
[Claws To hit: 20 + 25(CRIT CHANCE!!! Reroll: 17 + 25 = 42), 16 + 25 = 41 for claws.
7 + 3 = 10 damage
6 + 3 = 9 damage
Bite 16 + 25 = 41
8 + 7 = 15]
As she came down, she had not forgotten the cleric to her side. Her tail smashed down like an oversized club, and her wing buffetted.
[15 + 25 = 40 for tail, 14 + 25 = 39 wing.
7 + 10 = 17
5 + 3 = 8]
Blackclaw didn't seem to notice the arrows embedding themselves in his golden scales as he thundered forward, unstoppable. The dessicating spell got just enough of his attention for him to shrug it off by sheer stubbornness. Again, the attacks began a heartbeat too soon, as if the tiny dragon-kin had grown as he ran. The greatsword came down again and again.
[Charge, Reckless Charge, Power Attack, Take 10 on attack for the archer who decided it was smart to get my attention.

Tormentia stepped from behind the tree and began his run towards the remaining archer his heels clicked together in a practiced motion as he began moving activating the haste effect of his boots. His speed increased as he quickly closed the 50ft gap between himself and the archer who’s back was facing him. As soon as Tormentia reached him he began to pummel the archer’s back with five quick and furious blows. Before backing off and by another 50 ft positioning himself so that the archer would have to turn his back on either the Kobald or him to attack either of them.

As jernie inserted her claws into various parts of the assassin;s body and ripped him to pieces, everyon the party could hear the most horrible blood curdeling screams, before the bastard was a silent pile of dismembered flesh and bone.
The priest did a bit better. The damage from a tail and a wing buffet was not so massiv ehe coudnt take it. It still hurt though, and the force of the tail slamming into him shattered several of his ribs.
Tormenta managed to hit with every single strike leaving the archer with several horrible bruises, missing teeth and a shattered nose. This left him of balance for when the kobald came storming in with his great sword, and chopped him up like a fish on the docks of waterdeep.
The enemy mage was wondering of the rocks he had his face buried in would taste good
Vincent oversaw the combat and muttered a quick word and hovered in the air before blasting off at full speed toward Jernei, muttering a prayer to mystra, he finally managed to touch her with a healing spell
(150 points healed)
The cleric was not into playing games with a dragon, but was so shaken that when he cast his spell he forgot to fortify his stance (provokes an attack of opportunity)
Assuming he gets the spell off, he casts harm on Jernei DC 26 will save for half damage
So it would be 150 damage (bringing her where she was last round) on a failed save or 75 damage on a successful one

Jernei felt the soothing power over her body as the spell rippled over her, delaying the thoughts of snapping at the thing charging her. Instead, she decided to snap the Cleric's head off, in the most literal fashion possible. As the chants of a spell are heard, she snaps her head around to lash teeth into him. Her body swung with surprising agility, exposing the myriad sharp edges a dragon has to the final assailant. Claws like longswords and teeth like a forest of daggers flashed upon the suddenly lonely cleric.

7 + 3 = 10 damage for claws.

Blackclaw nodded to the monk and paused a moment, yanking arrows from his body like he was removing a toothpick from his mouth. He concentrated, his wounds sealing much faster as he did so.
"I beleive there's just the Mage left now. Where is he?"
[Concentration check to accelerate Fast Healing to 40. 20 + 35 = 55.]

The cleric screams in unimaginable pain, steps back, and escapes via a teleportation spell battered and horrendously wounded.
Vincent points in the mages general direction.

Tormenta looked down at the bloody pulp that was a mage and took a deep breath before removing his coat then the remnants of his shirt. his upper body was compleatly covered in tatoos from his wrists to his neck some of them stood out prominantly from the twisting background designs. He then walked over to a patch of sunlight and sat down hard "I think... I need... to rest a moment" he said in a ragged tone, a flower tattoo on his back appearing to almost glow in the light as its powers began to heal him.

Vincent walked between each member of the group, casting healing spells on them until they had no wounds left to speak of
Then he rifled through the mage's belongings and found, much to his joy, the ten scrolls of the Fundare.
It was also about that moment that a man wearing a simple robe ad carrying a bow in one appeared in view roughly a hundred feet away. just barely too late to assist in the fighting
(please, feel free to loot the corpses)

Tormenta was too tired to get up and take the belongings of the dead instead he just suggested "their weapons are unholy, perhaps we should collect them to be distroyed later so they do not fall into the wrong hands."

It wasnt long before the simple looking elf (to any who dont have detect magic, otherwise you see a giant blip) came up on the group of exhausted but well looking ladies and gentalmen (I use this term loosly) looting a few terribly mangeld corpses.
Looks like I missed quite the party, may I ask as to what these piles of goo did to become thier glorious selves i see before me.
I have come to the name Caden Strongbow, said the elf. He was medium hight with bright blue eyes and short dark hair, he was in his 200's now still young by elf standards but time and hardships had taken thier tolls. A small scar ran straight down his face right over his right eye.

"Oh you know how it is, someone tells you your coat looks funny so next thing you know you are pounding bloody chunks of skull into the forest floor" the Monk said jokingly "I'll assume you are the contact sent to help us?"

Blackclaw was busily focusing his flexible, variable internal structure to heal himself as he went through the two archer's and whatever remained of their equipment. "Sharans. Pft. Until we see a Ravager, I'm not concerned.." The kobold said as he looted.
"But we need to find the scrolls. Think the mage can be beaten into providing information?"

"Tormenta killed the mage, saddly. However he did have the Fundare. Which I took the liberty of liberating from him" Vincent said. "If we want... I may be able to use a spell to force him to speak with me on the matter"

The bronze dragon was resting in a patch of sunlight herself, licking the blood from her scales. She was a full sixteen feet long from nose to tailtip, her metallic scales only starting to gain the greenish tinge of adulthood, except for the fringe down her neck which green half-way up.
"Interesting, to see the Sharans get into this little mess," Jernei rumbled, possibly scaring the elf who just joined them. After all, a bronze dragon was not something you see in the middle of a forest like this, especially if you'd been warned there would be an elf with the party. "I wonder what would cause them to crawl out from under their shadows?"
Jernei's green eyes study the new arrival as he spoke to Tormenta and Master Vincent. Caden ... interesting name. Possible woodelf, some magic around him.... She could change back, give the poor boy another shock if she wished. Maybe. After she'd finished cleaning the blood off her claws and side.

"Yep my bad" Tormenta said lifting his hand "I was a little mad at the time and was not thinking of much other than beating the hell out of whoever attacked us."Comrade Tortoise wrote:"Tormenta killed the mage, saddly.
