Darth Kreshna frowned, almost blurted out the question 'how do you know', but kept silent. Trollish hackers were well-known throughout the two galaxies (Milky Way and Imperial Galaxy), and he knew that the Trolls were constantly hacking into Death Star's nightclubs security cam network.

"Well, if that's the case, I would like to excuse myself then."

"Oh, by the way," the Sith paused for a moment before heading to the door, "I'm going to Kubika Lounge for refreshment; would you be interested to join?"
'I'm sorry to say it appears I'm needed in the comms bay, apprently there is something going on...., Please, take any snacks that take your fancy'

And with that, Dright runs out the room, clearly disturbed. He dashes to the lift which would take hm down to the comms bay, he trys to catchhis breath before going into the bay, to try and make it look like he was still in control of his body functions, he steps in to the room.

'Okay, care to tell me what the fracks going on here? I was in the meeting with Lord Kreshna....'

Commander Jetsam stands up from the sensor station he had been standing up

'You'd better check out the signals this ship here -he points at a display' is giving off, it's damn near the same kind of interferrence Lord Detritus found in that system recently, it matches every single portion of it, apart from that it's far smalller'

Dright look worried 'What do you suggest we do?'

'Tell Kreshna to get his arse down here, he's the best bet we have at the moment, try and tell him as much he needs, he probably already knows though.'

With that, Dright fled from the room, back to where he hoped Lord Kreshna was.

Jetsam went over to where Igneous was looking at the various displays, checking to see if the ship was making any sign of hostile intent

'Send a messege to the fleet, We require Lord Detritus here as soon as possible'

'Aye Aye Commander'

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TIWS Goliath, en route to the Astroid Belt'

An ensign is at the comms baord, checking all inter-ship communication, today seemd damnd quiet, no one seemed to have anything to say...

The board flashec. twice red and once white. Prority call.

He pressed the button to accept the call

'This is Ensign Trogdon, what is the messege and who is the intended receipient?'

'This is Commander Jetsam of the DSIII Embassay, put me through to Lord Detritus!'

'...... But sir, he is meditating, he said he was not to be disturbed'

'He'll be disturbed alright!'

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Detritus was indeed meditating, he was trying to sift through the various things he had learned in the last few weeks, trying to find some sort of connection between it all, He wasn't getting very far.

In the midsts of his physic world, he detected a some sort of disturbence, not from here though, but from the outside, in his room.

His eyes snap open and he walks over to the comm board, clearly annoyed at the inturruption.

I thought I gave clear instructions that I was not to be disturbed?

'This is Jetsam sir, we have a problem'

OOC:

1) I assume the Zerg had contacted the Death Star before, otherwise, how could there be any docking bays designated for the ambassador?

2) Um, Zappy, it's been already a week since I visited the Trollish ambassador (according to Adam's post). But it's alright, I'm gonna 'retcon' it with an urgent message from the Trolls.

=========================================================

DesertFly wrote:With a squelching sound, a specialized antenna emerged from a pocket on the Overlord, and broadcast on the frequency it had been provided. After communicating with the automated docking computers, the Overlord flew into a bay that had been designated for the ambassador for the Zerg, and settled its prodigous weight with a sigh upon the smooth metal floor.
Darth Kreshna was relaxing in his personal salon, listening to Cafe Del Mar Volume Twelve as his comm beeped. "Darth Kreshna, the Ambassador of the Zergs had arrived."

THAT soon? The Sith frowned. The Zerg; an enigmatic, biological race which had contacted the Death Star some days ago, and now the Ambassador had arrived. "how about the welcoming ceremony?"

"The Sith Grand Palace has been all prepared, Sir. The Palpatine Square had been cleared from daily traffic for this welcoming ceremony, as you requested."

"Excellent. I'll be there soon."

"Oh, and Sir?"

"What?"

"We just received an urgent message from the Trollish Ambassador."
Dartzap wrote:Dright look worried 'What do you suggest we do?'

Kreshna read the message header; it seemed that there was something really bad down on the planet, "relay the message to my limo, then. I'll have the conversation with the Ambassador while on travel."

The Sith then tucked his tunic, and wore his yellow cape (OOC: Darth Kreshna's uniform is almost like that of General Bison from Street Fighter). After taking the elevator, he eventually stepped outside the building. A limousine had been waiting. "Sith Grand Palace," he told the chauffeur.

While the limo made its way to Palpatine Square, Darth Kreshna waited for the message from the Trollish Ambassador. He wonder what it was.........

OOC no one told me

Dright waited as the messege was patched through to Dark Kreshnas limo

It finally activates

'Lord Kreshna, my staff have just informed me that a vessel approaching this station is giving off similar psychic signals to those detected by the joint task force recently. We don't know what speices it is, but I urge you to be careful! I beleive the commander of the embassy garrison has already contacted Lord Detritus, he and the task force will be here within the day, or he can trasmat if needed be.

I urge you to atleast have some sort of body guard nearby'

OOC: Kresh, you better catch me, and FAST. Because I'm walking right out the door. I want you to meet with me, but you need to hurry. Ergo, that's the whole point of this post.
----------------------------------------

The Kubika Lounge

Ra's holographic device lights up once more, showing Madar's impassive stare.

"What news do you have, m'lord?" she asked.

"My efforts here are wasted, Madar," Ra scowled. "Despite waiting for days on end, the Sith leadership will not meet with me. Surely they must know I arrived... Whatever. Stand by, I shall come to Coruscant myself."

"Is that wise?" she asked bluntly.

"No, but if I can get no one's attention here, then perhaps that same luck will hold out elsewhere," Ra laughed.

"I don't want you coming here," snapped Madar.

Ra then leaned closer to the glaring hologram, and said, "Tough. I'm sick of waiting in vein, I'm sick of spending my nights in this accursed club waiting for an official that thinks he's too fucking important to meet with me. To hell with them!"

On the other end, Ra's hologram flickered out. Madar then shook her head, and muttered, "Son of a bitch!"

"What's wrong?" asked Buscan, one of Madar's Dark Jedi operatives.

"Oh, nothing," Madar smirked. "Only that our impatient head of state is coming down here to fuck up our operation most spectacularly."

"Oh bugger," the man sighed.

Darth Kreshna replied, "if Lord Detritus wishes to transmat here, then we would really appreciate it. Probably he'd like to meet the Zerg Ambassador as well."

He continued reading Detritus' attachment on the message, and what he read made him nervous somewhat. It was merely preliminary report, resulted from indirect observation, and probably it was just his prejudice, but words like 'seems to be insectoid', 'strong carapace', and 'potentially dangerous' were not relaxing at all. He just hoped that --since this race is sentient that they sent an Ambassador-- the Zergs were actually reasonable at all.

As he kept reading, the comm unit in his limo beeped again. It was his secretary. "Sir, uh, sorry for not informing you earlier, but the Goa'uld Supreme System Lord Ra has been aboard this station for a week."

"For a week? And nobody told me?"

"Well, Sir, he didn't make official notice either. In fact, if it was not for Vice Admiral Hassan had a drink with him in Kubika Lounge last night, we wouldn't have known. Probably the Supreme System Lord went here incognito? Probably he's currently on vacation and doesn't want to be disturbed?"

"Probably." But The Sith decided to contact Ra anyway. Ba'al issues aside, he felt the Supreme System Lord should have been informed concerning to this recent development. And probably Ra would like to meet the Zerg Ambassador as well.

When he dialed Ra's personal number, he was replied with a mailbox. The Sith left a message anyway:

"Ra, I'm currently on my way to Sith Grand Palace --Palpatine Square, attending a First Contact Ceremony. We've been recently contacted by a new race called themselves 'the Zerg', and their Ambassador is coming here. Detritus, however, suggested caution. I'll forward his message to your mailbox. Oh, and I have something to say about Ba'al as well. So if you have a time, catch me up at Palpatine Square. Anyway, maybe you want to meet the Zerg Ambassador yourself as well."

Later

"Bah, Zerg ambassador? First Contact? Did Darth Kreshna confuse himself for Lord Adam or something?" Ra thought. "Whatever, we're talking some boring diplomacy meeting, I should be able to get his attention over a few glasses of champagne."

"Palpatine square!" he barked at the limo driver.

He was there in moments, and made his way through crowds of Imperial officers and diplomats, toward the Sith Inquisitor.

Everything ready?

'Aye Sir, transmat co-ods locked in, you'll be there in exactly a blink of an eye'

Oh. Good

'Adios my lord'

Detritus seems to explode into a cloud of dust which then vanishes

DSIII

in middle of huge crowd in Palpatine Square, the cloud appears, and rapdily forms into the shape of Lord Detritus, people start screaming and running away

'Accurate as can be' my cropolith arse....Ah ha, atleast i'm on the right station at any rate....

He pushes through the screaming onlookers, looking for some space where he can see what is going on.

Madar was busy watching Inspector Gadget when Ra's transmission came in.

"I've finally found Darth Kreshna, I should be able to meet with him shortly."

"Yowzers! You finally got his attention?" Madar inquired.

"Yes," smirked Ra. "I'll inform you of the results."

"Excellent," Madar nodded. "This message will self-destruct in fifteen seconds!"

Ra watched in terror as a wadded-up piece of paper was thrown into his hologram by Madar, the (on his end) piece of holographic trash remaining in his hand after the transmission ended.

"Waaahaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...."

BOOM

The smoke cleared, Ra's face, suit, and hair appearing cinged and ruffled horribly.

"I've gotta find Darth Kreshna," Ra whimpered.

He walked - or rather stumbled - over to where the Phoenix-Incarnate was standing.

OOC: How's this?
IC: Namtaru released a breath in a manner that sounded suspiciously like a sigh. Getting ahold of the delegates for the different nations of this galaxy had proven to be a daunting task as he had attempted to contact them the last few days. Finally he decided on a different tactic. Using one of the small creatures he had brought and some material from his suite's food center, he synthesized some semi-valuable material of some kind and went to the main commerce area of the station. Within an hour he was able to change it into currency. He started heading toward the bar, when he began hearing things from the direction of Palpatine Square. He quickly slithered there, just in time to see a limo pull up, and a man dressed in a nice suit step out. A moment later, a cloud of dust seemed to draw together and a large slab of vaguely man shaped-rock appeared out of it. Others in the square were taken by suprise and ran screaming, but Namtaru recognized the phenomenom as very similar to the sytle of FTL the Zerg had employed in their home galaxy. There was another flash, and it appeared that a small explosion had occured next to the man in the nice suit. Ra (the man in the suit) began walking toward Detritus, and Namtaru hurried to close the distance.

Ra stormed up to Darth Kreshna and brushed himself off, not noticing the alien slithering up behind him at all. Taking out a comb and fixing his hair, Ra said sourly, "Wassap, Darth Kreshna? I need to talk to you; it's a matter of utmost urgency."

'My Lord, it is good to see you again'

Thank you Jetsam, whats with the gaurds?

'As soon as we recognised the similarities between the alien vessal and the disturbence you had been investigating, I put the garrison to full alert, to ensure there were no problems.'

Did you find any trouble?

'No Sir, its been dead quite, more so than usual'

Good, lets go meet Lord Kreshna, see what he has to say for himself

With that, the troops got behind their Lord and they marched to their meeting place, always looking around for anything suspicous.

Starbase 242

"Sir, a Goa'uld transport has emerged from hyperspace."

"Very well," Adam says, "have them dock in the outer port and beam the observers over. Once we leave, I want you guys to do full scans on the Goa'uld ship without actually touching it."

"Yes, sir."

"Inform Ra's observers we are leaving in the morning, and if they want to discuss anything with me I will be aboard my ship."

Darth Kreshna frowned slightly, but greeted him still, "Supreme System Lord Ra! It's a pleasure!" Ra noticed the reporters and journalists around, and realized that they were in front of public. As Ra and Darth Kreshna hugged each other in a diplomatic manner, the Sith lowered his voice and spoke in a hushed tone, "the Zerg Ambassador is coming soon; you DID receive my message, didn't ya?"

Before the Goa'uld Supreme System Lord had any chance to reply, Lord Detritus of the Trolls already approached. Darth Kreshna greeted him too, "Lord Detritus! How was your journey?"

As Ra, Detritus, and Darth Kreshna gathered in front of the Sith Grand Palace, alongside with A'millan diplomatic personnel --Lord Adam, for some reason, was unable to attend the welcoming ceremony-- reporters and journalists started to swarm around them, asking various questions.

"Darth Kreshna, could you describe further about this new race called the 'Zergs'?"

"there hasn't been any First Contact since the end of the Guardian Wars. What do you think, Lord Detritus?"

"Supreme System Lord Ra, what's your opinion regarding to Lord Ba'al naquada facility?"

Eventually, Darth Kreshna raised his hand, "gentlemen, a week ago, we were surprised by a contact from the far corner of the galaxy; a space faring civilization named the Zerg had made their first communication with the Death Star. This day marks a new dawn in the history, as we are here waiting for the arrival of the Zerg Ambassador."

The Sith paused for a moment. According to the schedule, the Zerg Ambassador should arrive soon. Kreshna frowned, wondered why the Ambassador declined his offer to pick him up from the Docking Bay to Palpatine Square, but the Zerg Ambassador insisted to 'use his own mean of transportation'. Not knowing that the Ambassador --for some unknown reason-- had choosen to travel by foot, Darth Kreshna expected a limousine of some sort......

"Bah, new dawn in history," Ra muttered under his breath. He then added in an audible tone, "Yeah, I heard something about Zerg, maybe they'll give us some kind of new excuse for Saan to increase defense spending. Maybe even new allies, I would hope. While I hardly want another war, maybe we'll get lucky and Baal's little Correllian courier ends up on the wrong side of one of their fleet movements, heh."

Motioning to several Kulls, Ra had them put some distance between the reporters as they walked. He waited for a chance to talk about his own little bit of business, and hoped the Zerg ambassador didn't show up before he got a chance to say it.

He continued in a very low voice, "I wanted to ask a favor of you, if it's at all possible. There's a critical problem on our hands in Goa'uld space, and we need some information that would make our combating this problem much easier, lest more be lost. *sigh* I might as well spit it out... you know I get straight to the point. I need data from your Sith archives."

Detritus was good with the media, he told them the truth all the time. Usally about something they didnt want to know about.

'Sir, can I ask how you think this first contact will effect the region?'

I have no doubt that a new contact will be welcomed by everyone, we are always looking for new allies, after all.

Another news worthy item which I beleive you may be intrested in is that Trollish scientists have now perfected the genes which make most plant based crops grow, we are now able to grow crops in any atmosphere or condition, from desert wasteland to a tropical rain forest, we now have a method to sustain a population

Well, that is most certainly intresting, Sir, but what about the Zerg? what do we know of them?

Very little, which I hope will be rectified today, Thats all we have time for I'm afraid, any questions you have can be addressed by whichever Ambassador you see, good bye

"He really enjoys it, doesn't he?" Darth Kreshna jabbed Ra slightly with his elbow.

As Detritus continued speaking, The Sith displayed a hidden smile. Detritus was sincere indeed; Trollish society was indeed geared towards scientific advancement instead of stuffing the pockets of large corporations; most of Trollish technologies were open source. While Imperial corporations like Taim & Bak, Rendili Stardrive, and Golan Arms were busy sueing smaller ventures for 'patent infringement', the Trolls had shown the greater benefit of general public license. Furthermore, their technologies seemed to be more 'eco-friendly' than those of the Empire.

The Empire should have used these people as an example.... Darth Kreshna thought. A left wing through and through, he hoped Imperial society could be more like the Trolls someday.

But his thought was soon occupied with more pressing concern.

Where is the Zerg Ambassador? The Sith glanced at his watch.

Namtaru had been having trouble getting into the press conference; the security was adamant that he show them proper id, something which he didn't have. Many exasperating minutes later, he was finally able to convince them that he had to be the Zerg, reminding them that very few people knew of them and he didn't look like any other species they had encountered before. Finally he was allowed to enter, grumbling all the way, but to his dismay he noticed that it had been going on for some time already. He was just in time to hear a member of the audience:
Well, that is most certainly intresting, Sir, but what about the Zerg? what do we know of them?

Very little, which I hope will be rectified today, Thats all we have time for I'm afraid, any questions you have can be addressed by whichever Ambassador you see, good bye
He smiled slightly. This would be the perfect opportunity. Gathering his sinuous muscles, he raised himself on his tail and said, in his raspy voice, loud enough so that everyone in the room could hear, "I am here!"

A ripple of shock ran through the crowd as people turned to face the newcomer. Most of them had encountered odd species in their day to day lives, so his alien appearance wasn't a complete suprise, but his appearance was still menacing enough to give many people pause.

Some, however, were entirely unnaffected. Immediately his eye was drawn toward two faces in the crowd, which he was quickly able to identify as Darth Kreshna and Ra. They didn't look quite like he imagined, but no matter. Up on the stage Detritus was just finishing his speech, and Namtaru saw the perfect opportunity to address everyone. He made his way up to the stage...

(OOC:) I'm still not entirely sure what I want him to say, but feel free to react to him or stop him before he gets to the stage and talk to him. Remember, he looks like a hydralisk from Starcraft.

Although slightly disappointed at having his grand entrance cut short (though it did still have an air of mystery), Namtaru wouldn't let little things like teleportation get in his way. He delicately wrapped his tail around the base of a chair and raised his head to eye level.

"I'll take a Klatchoonian Ale, on the rocks."

"Now, what can I do for you gentlemen?"

Ra regarded the Zerg for a moment, his look completely neutral. He wasn't so unusual, at least not to the Goa'uld. So the ambassador was a exoskeleton-covered alien that had a tail instead of legs. Ra was a snake clinging around an Egyptian boy's (or a clone thereof) spinal cord. What irked Ra the most was once again being drawn into the dull and arduous act civilized sentients called Diplomacy. Ra then put his reservations aside, and smoothly greeted their visitor.

"Welcome to this galaxy, Ambassador. I am Ra, Supreme System Lord of the Goa'uld," he stated. "As the absolute ruler over the largest interstellar territory within this galaxy, I hope that you will find this place to your liking, and perhaps we shall work together to form a strong, resolute relationship between our two races."

Ra then tilted his head somewhat, and added, "That said. It may seem odd that I do not have my own ambassador here; I've little use for them, really. So tell me, whom do you represent? The best step toward diplomacy is obviously to have an accord between Heads of State."

Meanwhile, on Adam's ship...

"Just got word from the Discovery, negative on one," Adam reports from the communication station of the bridge.

"This system looks negative too, just awaiting the final sensor transmission from Challenger," the Lady tells him from the science station.

"These observers have been damn quiet." he remarks to her telepathically.

"Yeah... a little too quiet." she responds.

"And... receiving transmission from the Challenger now...

"Yeah.... a little too transmission."

"Heh"

"And transmission in now," he says aloud, "nothing here."

"Well, next on the list is the Tais system. Hopefully, we'll have better luck there," she says.

"Indeed, well set a course for the Tais system, warp 8."

Standing in the far corner of the bridge was Meryetre, Ra's Scientific Advisor. The female Jaffa was dressed in a black business suit, and while her stare was innocent; enough to look outright adorable - it hid the dark opinion she had of the A'millian "intruders".

As scientific advisor, she'd been to Tais II rather often in the last three years since wars' end. In fact, she was the single most brilliant mind in the Galaxy with regard to the Guardians, and their psionic and psychological idiocyncracies. While she was no psychic herself, she understood how the Ancient Menace operated better than anyone else.

And now there she was, watching as the A'millians moved in on the place her work was kept safe.

Tais II was the most secure, remote, and well-hidden of facilities, buried deep under a barren dustball of a world. It was the Goa'uld's equivalent of their Tauri adversaries' Area 51, albeit a much better-kept secret. But while Meryetre had confidence that the A'millians would not detect the base (outside of the minor military outpost that served it, which was obvious), she still didn't like it.

But Ra did all he could in outright allowing the A'millians to be allowed in; if he had raised concern, they would have known he was hiding something. For that same reason, Meryetre remained calm and collected. Any sign of tension on her part would raise the alarm.

The Jaffa then stepped forward, and stated, "Excuse me Lord Adam, but if there is anything in particular you need to know about this system, feel free to ask."

OOC: I'm supposing that this is the first of the two Goa'uld systems y'all are searching. If I'm wrong, I'll modify this post.

OOC: Second system out of four possible (I intend to stop short however - the next one we scan will have what we want). My first post was supposed to be them wrapping up finding nothing at a dead planet and moving on. Nothing of note whatsoever. As far as the A'millians know, all these systems are dead balls of rock, nothing more, and we asked Ra for permission simply because they are behind a line on a map. Completely insignificant.
=======================

"Well," Adam asks Meryetre, "simple data such as number of planets, their moons, and their composition will save us an hour or two when we arrive. You see, we have never done detailed maps of the system before. We know of the star and the presence of a potentially previously inhabitable planetary system around it, but nothing more detailed. Any charts you could provide now will save us from having to map it when we arrive, meaning we could proceed directly to our subsurface scans."

Ra wrote:"So tell me, whom do you represent? The best step toward diplomacy is obviously to have an accord between Heads of State."
"Your pardon. I suppose I haven't introduced myself adequately. My name is Namtaru. I represent the Zerg, a collective of akin races who united in our home galaxy to survive the harsh conditions and many enemies there.

"Unfortunately, our long struggles against those who would destroy us ultimately proved to be futile, so we have fled to this galaxy, in the hope that we might find a place where we can live in peace. From what I've gathered from your informational facilities, it appears that there is a great deal of empty space in this galaxy, enough for us to coeexist with plenty of room.

"Also from what I've gathered, it appears that your race, the Goa'uld, is very similar in many respects to our distant ancestors. We have suspected for some time that our species was tampered with by some advanced race in the ancient past, and the similarities I've seen raise some intriguing possibilites. Perhaps at some point our scientists could collaborate and research this.

"As for what we desire, our requests for now are very simple. All we need is room to establish ourselves. We are a peaceful society, and only wish to live unmolested. As such, I'm afraid that I will have to insist that we have no visitors to the systems we have colonized, for we value our privacy. This will be non-negotiable, and any intrusion will be met with deadly force. I trust that that won't be neccesary. You seem like a reasonable people. I've marked the systems we've inhabited on this datacard. Now, is there anything I need to know?"
