"Lady Jernei," Blackclaw always referred to True Dragons as he would a noble. "The Sarrukh aren't dead. They live on, hidden away. One need look no further than the Yuan-Ti to see they still have their influence in this world. Their twisted forms could come about no other way." The kobold stalked forward. "They are dangerous, but defeatable. Merely fear any scaled creature in their presense."

LadyTevar wrote:"The Scaled Ones?" Jernei replied. "They're long gone... they lost to the dragons in the days before elves learned magic." She too had read the Scrolls, and added it to knowledge learned from her ancestry. "All that is left is the Scrolls themselves."
"There may be one left.."
BlackClaw wrote:"Lady Jernei," Blackclaw always referred to True Dragons as he would a noble. "The Sarrukh aren't dead. They live on, hidden away. That got Jernei's full and undivided attention. "(dragonic curse)." she said flatly. "And you think there's one down here?" It was suddenly like all her senses had gone into full alert, and now her trident was in her hands. This time, there was a lot more confidence in her handling of the weapon, holding it as if it was a part of herself. It was a lesser familiarity than BlackClaw's ease with his greatsword, but the difference was noticeable.

Makes one wonder why she used the dragon-headed ring, if it crippled her so badly.

"No. There is no reason for there to be on here. As Blackclaw said, they rule the Yuan Ti, generally one to a city. And Yuan Ti cities are rare... The one I was thinking about is the TerraSeer, but there are others. That one, and we do NOT want to find him, is currently under the anaurock besisged by Phaerimm, him along with twenty five other liches who are keeping the city of liches out of Phaerimm hands"

"Pretty much." Blackclaw nodded. "Let's just get on with it.. Where's this next bloody test, and I'm hoping no more are combats.." He growled.

And down the corridor they go... Jernei and BlackClaw taking the lead again, allowing the monk to cover the rear as Caden and Vincent walk inbetween, able to cover whichever side trouble might appear from.

They finally reached a door after a few hundred meters of winding passages. It was a normal door, it even had a handle. Any inspection of the area revealed no magic on the door, just a simple inscription in the same tongue

Tormenta took a deep breath and stepped forward "There are no traps that we can find and this is the only way to go, there is no reason to hesitate and fear will only hinder us." with that he stepped forward grabbed the handle and opened the door...

When he opened the door, the group was met by a cooridor which split into two paths

Tormeta looked down the left passage then the right. "well if you keep your left hand on the left side, or right hand on the right side of any maze you will eventually get out, might take you a while but you will get out."

"Well nothing near here and no sense in delaying the inevetable" Tormenta said as he placed his left hand on the left wall and began walking down the corridor.

Sound logic if I ever heard it.....I would watch that hand though, draging a hand along an ancient maze wall does seem like a good way to loose that which is precious to you.

Tormanta didnt spot the faint outline of the trap which awaited him. The walls seemed to open up in several places and twip opposing walls if interlocking adamantium spikes lunged out at him.

(reflex save to get out of the way, if you fail, you take 15d6 damage, I will let you know if you succeed or not)

And the monk deftly does a backflip out of the way and the spikes miss him by a narrow margin, before retrieating back into their nearly perfectly concealed recesses in the wall

WIth some trial and error, you manage to figure out that is triggered by pressure on the floor, cieling, and walls.
