#1 Big Summer Sale at Dream Pod 9

Post by Hotfoot »

Always wanted to buy some DP9 books, or looking to increase your collection? Well, now is the time. Most of the older RPG stock is on clearance (and much of it is still very relevant to the current editions, 3rd ed didn't change things as much as it refined them). On top of that, until Monday the 18th, every $50 spent gets you a free book of $10 or less ($100 gets you a $20 book or two $10 books, etc.)

Some keys, for people unfamiliar with the product lines:

HG Blitz: Current edition of Heavy Gear tactical gaming
HG RPG: The RPG line, currently in 3rd ed, but most of the 2nd ed stuff is still very useful, especially the fluff bits. A fantastic science fiction setting with big robots, easily one of my favorite RPG settings of all time.
HG Tac: The old tactical line, currently replaced by Blitz, which is faster, than 2nd ed Tac, but 2nd ed Tac meshes more cleanly with HG RPG.

CORE RPG Rules: The 3rd Ed rules set, useful for ALL the RPG lines. Not to be confused with the next catagory:

CORE Command: Science Fantasy setting, a mix of Star Trek, Star Wars, and Andromeda.

Jovian Chronicles RPG: Think Gundam, and you're not too far off. While this setting borrows heavily from that show, it becomes its own Giant Robot pilot setting and does it well.
Jovian Chronicles Tac: Again, the tactical system used to fight large-scale battles in the Jovian Chronicles setting.

Gear Krieg RPG: Two-Fister Superscience in a World at War! Alternate History WW2 with transforming mecha-tanks, rocketpack troopers, chemically induced zombies, the works.
Gear Krieg Tac: Like the others, but this includes campaign rules for running World War 2.

Tribe 8: Post-apocalyptic fantasy. It's a wonderful setting, but it's fairly dark. You are caught between the Seven Fatimas and the four Clans of demons known as the Z'bri. Hard to explain in a short blurb, but well worth a look if you have the time.

I know I'll be rounding out my Heavy Gear RPG and Tac collection.
